Wow what an amazing lesson, loved the picking pattern . My wife came in as I was practicing it & she immediately recognised the song. But wish I could sing like you . Thank you
I miss each week with you Cory and even that I cant have music classes with you it helps me understand and try new songs. I really miss playin ukulele in class.thank you for all.🎼🎻
So I was unfortunate in that I carried my best friend and brother's coffin into the church to this song and being one who is finally starting to get the hang of the ukulele I wanted, no, I needed to learn this song and hearing you sing the song at the end damn near had me bawling my eyes out. I'm sorry that whole sentence was a garbled mess but half way through I could keep up with you. That's more than I've ever managed when it comes to finger picking. Now I just need to learn how to sing and I'll have this one down. Thank you Cory and rest in peace AJ we miss you down here brother I'll master this one for you!
@@CoryTeachesMusic thank you. Also what a time to reply to me. Just as I'm watching your toss a coin to your witcher tutorial. Favourite ukulele chanel atm ngl!
you nailed it! Your finger picking tutorial is so effective 💯 looking forward to learn new songs from you again🤗God Bless! I just subscribed to your channel 😁Finally i found someone that can make finger picking much easier 👌
9:21, I’m a bit confused here because why do we hold our fingers on the fret of c major when we aren’t even plucking that string? Wonderful tutorial by the way, just confused a bit
:ooo Thank you, very clear explanation! I'm doing an average job on playing its just my transitioning of Cmajor to Gmajor plus singing lol I can't do both at once or my head will blow up.
Are you a sidekick? I wanted to request this song in your latest video but nooo telepathy did its thing 😂 YOU'RE AMAZING AND YOUR COVERS ARE FLAWLESS 👏👏
Yeah, you can definitely just drop the C chord in the left when picking but I find that it is easier to just do it so you don’t get messed up in the progression.
I have a question when you put your fingers on the string do you got to press Hard cuz when i do it it doesnt give a good sound and it gets very strong i need help whith how you put your fingers correctly please i relly want to play this song i tried so much tutorials but no one helpped
Yes. When making chords you do need to press/squeeze hard in order to make a new sound. When your use your fingers to make a chord, you are actually shortening the string length which changes the pitch and that’s how the chords are made. You do not, however, need to strum or pluck that hard. That can be much softer than you think.
The one I use most often is a Sawtooth concert ukulele. When I bought it it was on sale on Amazon for like $50 which was awesome! Even though I have more expensive ukes, it’s the one I reach for the most often!
I have a question what is the point of plucking for the C chord? I mean can't we pluck without holding C down since its either on the 4th string nor the 2nd...
It’s just for keeping the progression or incase you accidentally pluck a string that it not supposed to be plucked. That way, you can still play a pitch that is in the chord.
It is a Sawtooth concert ukulele. I bought mine on Amazon. It wasn’t too pricey either. I believe I got mine on sale for about $50. I actually use it more often that I do my more expensive ukuleles.
Good tutorial but that D chord seemed off from all the other tutorials out there, I know there are different alternatives for finger placements sometimes but that seemed interesting to me.
I’m glad you are working on it! As far as the D minor chord goes there are other ways to create the D minor chord, but in my experience the way I presented it is the easiest and most widely Used. Best of luck with the song! Let me know if I can help in any other way!
Ik its been a long ime since you posted this video no hate tho but its "I tend to close my eyes that it hurts sometimes I fall into your arms" not eyes

Hi! It’s not necessary but it’s to keep the progression pattern.

Whats rhe use of picking the 4th and 2nd strings while you are playing a C chord? Its equal to not using C then?
Yeah, you can definitely just drop the C chord in the left when picking but I find that it is easier to just do it so you don’t get messed up in the progression.

What ukulele do you have because I would love to get a better one but I have no clue which to get? Xx
The one I use most often is a Sawtooth concert ukulele. When I bought it it was on sale on Amazon for like $50 which was awesome! Even though I have more expensive ukes, it’s the one I reach for the most often!
You should put the chort you playing on screen might help
I have a question what is the point of plucking for the C chord? I mean can't we pluck without holding C down since its either on the 4th string nor the 2nd...
It’s just for keeping the progression or incase you accidentally pluck a string that it not supposed to be plucked. That way, you can still play a pitch that is in the chord.
@@CoryTeachesMusic thank you very much for your help 😊
this is off topic but i can't help myself. at 5:28 a portion of her hair goes horizontal
Lol. It does!
I like your ukulele. Where to buy?
It is a Sawtooth concert ukulele. I bought mine on Amazon. It wasn’t too pricey either. I believe I got mine on sale for about $50. I actually use it more often that I do my more expensive ukuleles.
@@CoryTeachesMusic wow.
Thanks for this. Hope i could have mine too. Real soon.
Need to save first 😊
Why hold the C cord while picking string 4 and 2?
It keeps the pitches in the correct chord in case you accidentally pluck the wrong string.
@CoryTeachesMusic okay cool, thanks Cory🙂
There is no one to G 😂
-that's what she said
All jokes aside I love u i m into 1 week learning ukulele thanks for help🥺
Lol. Yeah. It always sounds weird when I am trying to say the lyrics and chords lol
She has such a beautiful voice and look. Can someone tell me her ig?
it difficult for me, as i have a tremor hand...any easy way...like strumming
Good tutorial but that D chord seemed off from all the other tutorials out there, I know there are different alternatives for finger placements sometimes but that seemed interesting to me.
Do you mean the D minor chord?
Cory Teaches Music yes, also been working all night on the pricking pattern, it’s getting better but you definitely make it look easy😂
I’m glad you are working on it! As far as the D minor chord goes there are other ways to create the D minor chord, but in my experience the way I presented it is the easiest and most widely Used. Best of luck with the song! Let me know if I can help in any other way!
Cory Teaches Music omg please ignore me the whole time I was thinking D major 😬🤦🏻♀️ this makes much more sense now! 😂
I totally understand. It can be confusing in regards to chord quality (Major, minor, etc). I definitely struggled with it when I started out ☺️
Why do we need to hold the c chord even when we're not playing that string?
It’s good for practice to keep the progression. That way incase you hit another string on accident it won’t sound weird within the chord.
Okay.. Got it.. Thank you❤❤
you look kinda like a brunette version of lili reinhart :0
That is super kind :)
dear instrument tutorial makers, as a viewer, i suggest that you should demo it first on how it s done before start teaching🙂
Would you find a preview of the play through to be valuable first, or the whole thing?
OMG! WE HAVE SAME (GCEA 4321) THIS IS WILL ME TEACHES MEEWE
Ik its been a long ime since you posted this video no hate tho but its "I tend to close my eyes that it hurts sometimes I fall into your arms" not eyes
Yeah, I often say lyrics wrongs lol. I think I did say arms, listening through it again, but it definitely sounds like eyes lol
@@CoryTeachesMusic lol ok
I still can't play :(
What are you having trouble with?
