Just got one. Can't wait to try it out. I have a 16 foot enclosed trailer for snowmobile racing in the North East.
Yes those big trucks suck me around too.
Thank you. I appreciate the short and to the point video. Looking at purchasing the weight distribution and sway combo from curt. You just helped make my mind up.
Harbor Freight has one, $27.00. Same as I can tell.
Excellent video. Got one for a large pop-up camper. Works beautifully.
Basically this helps with trailer sway and doesn't do anything for porpoise, that's where a weight distribution hitch comes into play, or have a pickup that can handle the tongue weight. Thanks for the video!
So….lets say you are driving on the interstate and need to get fuel. You need to exit and make a left turn to get fuel. What do you do? Will you pull off on the shoulder and remove the sway bar so it isn’t torn to pieces?
Thanks! 👍 Everything I needed to know.
Thanks! Ordering one today!
What's the weight of your trailer loaded? Looking at getting a Propride 3p hitch that costs 3k, but if this can do what you say I might not have to spend that much. Thanks for the upload.
Turn the plate around and put the handle to the top . Peel the sticker off an put it right side up . I bought a second sway control for my 36 ft. trailer an that's what I had to do for installation on the drivers side .
Ahhh.........the approach of semis...........coming up on your rear ya gotta steer into them........going past you ya gotta steer away cause they suck you in. Always a white knuckle driving experience.
thanks for the review I'll get me one
Is the extra spacer player not required for the ball mount on the trailer? I’d rather only drill 4 holes vs the 8 holes on the spacer.
Spacer plate… not player
Thanks helped with my decision.
Super helpful, thank you
How did you weld the sway tab? Under the hitch or side flush with the hitch?
Flush
Good video and helpful.
harbor freight 32$
I was thinking about buying one of these for my 14’ utility trailer. I drive from Wisconsin to Colorado a few times a year I always wonder how safe it is towing a single axle trailer at 75mph. If I blew a tire I would think this would help with a wild ride.
Im a little late here but most ST standard trailer tires are recommended not to exceed 60 or 65 mph and also the sway control bar is not going to make a difference if you blow a tire the trailer is going to be all over the roa
that is a good idea
Great down-to-earth description and video, but dude get some rust-kill, my OCD is going off tap.
Yepper need to take it apart and turn it over. But yes it really works great.
Good information on video
I’m hearing lots of squeaking
