Dimash does sing Diva Dance from the Fifth Element. Chose the one from the Bastau Concert. Funny you rate for the song and the majority of Dimash fans listen to him because of his vocals and personal character traits. He could sing the phone book and I'd love it!!

This is the original version, you have to react this song Screaming in "Idol hits" and in "Beijing 2021" two different versions more... He's amazing improving and rearranging his songs.
He also sings the song of Fifth Element, his best version is in Bastau... Then it is mixed up with other songs
Incredible vocal range and that little bit he did at the end there was insanely high pitched for a guy, reading the comments here it seems he does the drums as well! Respect.
In addition to the drums, he's playing the piano, too. And, singing all the backing vocals.

Dimash is unique artist, very often you'll hear from him what you've never heard before. Sometimes his style is hard to digest for some people, but he cannot be ignored or be forgotten quickly. Please react to Dimash's recent pop song "Fly Away" it's very cool. Also please react to "Screaming" Idol hits version - it has different arrangement. And he covered The Diva Dance from the fifth element (Bastau concert 2017)

When I first heard this song I thought his singing is great but the song is weak ish.. HaVe totally changed my mind about this, and actually this is musically incredibly innovative, and my professional musical friends confirm this. As to the meaning of the song it's pretty clear from the lyrics, that he loves someone that doesn't return his love, but he still celebrates "the love inside which won't subside.." there are a few different versions of him singing the alien song from 5th element. the best and more accurate key is the one from the "bastau concert", but there is also a lower key version called "confessa + diva dance" and finally a duet with li yugang, a chinese opera singer if i remember right, song is called "drunken concubine + diva dance". the bastau concert one is really short, so it can maybe be put in with one of the others, or do a slightly longer video with all three versions? your choice of course, i look forward to seeing more dimash reactions.

The song is about his hurting and losing som1 he cared about. He is screaming inside over this loss. He is also asking for a second chance and screaming this desire inside as well. We have all lost som1 that causes so much pain inside that we want to scream.

Funny that you mention the movie the Fifth Element because Dimash also sang the Diva Song. Dimash did a cover of Freddie Mercury of the song called The Show Must Go On back when he did not speak english. He also did a Queen Medley with the Super Vocal Boys that you should check.

He sings The Fith Element song. Diva Dance Bastau concert, absolutly amazing and really short . The mix with de Drunken Concubine is pretty amazing too, but he sings with a chinese traditional opera singer (who sings female roles) and the song is something really unique.... maybe too different for you 😉.

Because he can, Dimash will put several octaves in a song. It is not just to so because he can, Dears know he can. You will find a lot of songs performed by Dimash are not showing all ranges.
For me it is 9.5 / 10 as a song. They did not see the next two versions that are much better (Screaming Idol Hit where he raps live, and the version of Screaming 2021 live in China, where this song is almost an anthem for the 600 million followers) Greetings from Panama.

Dimash reworked Screaming for the Show Idol Hits. I would suggest watching it. It is very impressive.

Much prefer his live performances of this song which can be found at all his concerts and you get an idea of the kind of person Dimash is as he goes out into the audience and thanks all his supporters and musician accompaniments. This MVis just kind of a throw away if you ask me.
Except for the ending where he’s singing all four parts and has the beautiful, pure tones in the “pops.”

I'm struggling to understand what it is you don't understand about this song! The lyrics are clear and in English! If it's the style of music that confuses you then surely by now you must know that Dimash has his own style: Dimash style. And if you think he showed off everything he's got in this song.... think again! And again! Anyway, interesting reaction!

Yes, the lyrics were in English, yet they were not written in English so probably did not quite translate as we would expect.
We read that this was originally written as a Chinese love song, so perhaps some of it got a little mixed.
We enjoyed the song, just found it a little hard to get what was going on at the first time of hearing it.

I get what you are saying about the confusion, the lyrics are sad, but the beat is upbeat and very dance oriented, definitely a conflict. Most of have seen this so many times that we don’t remember the initial conflict of lyrics and beat, it definitely is fantastic in concert because he sings with the Dears, so it doesn’t come off as sad, great job guys!

Yes, we had many comments to check out the Beijing performance and we will try and follow up with that one too.
As for not quite understanding, yes the lyrics were in English but as we found out is was from a Chinese original song, so the words may have been in English but may not have quite made sense.
This was our first time hearing it, so it may take a few listens to actually understand what the song is about.

This was released in just the second year of Dimash's international fame. He has changed it up quite a lot since this MV. You should checkout "Screaming--Idol Hits" for a very different performance including a surprise.
This song is sung with the audience in concerts, the chorus, it’s a ballad love song with an upbeat musical tone, pretty much created to appeal more to Western World music, US etc, I wouldn’t try to place much if anything Dimash does in a normal genre, it generally won’t fit. He describes his style as neoclassical, and to me his genre is called Dimash! Thank you for reacting, I personally love the song, most of it is easy to sing along with, which was part of the purpose, so Dears could sing along in concert, at least that’s what they do, please watch Screaming Idol Hits for a very different perspective and see the audience participation ❤️. In this song Dimash not only sang the melody and most of the background vocals (as you said harmonizing with himself) but also played the piano, the drums and the guitar. It`s a pop song, which I underestimated it at first too. Meanwhile I really enjoy this song. It doesn`t show at all what he is capable of. But your thought to the fifth element is right: Dimash also sang this song (Diva Dance) from that movie, which was composed as unsingable. Watch it and you`ll have a better understanding for what Dimash is capable of... :)
