With the "ü" I thought it was a german speaking channel. Probably that's the only problem with this channel.

This is the most informative and interesting car channel around. I like very much how Thomas talks about cars, especially Audi ;-)

Great Review once again Thomas, your channel makes us feel like we're at the show, without being there. Personally i'm pretty particular about my interiors, great to see what direction the industry is going. Not convinced on stone dash inlays though. Either way it'll 'rock' the industry, pun fully intended :)

Much better than the Passive Illness concept. Watch the slow reintroduction of hemp into vehicle manufacturing and wonder whats been happening all these years. Keep up the good work Thomas. Just wondering- how many hours a day do you practice that German accent? Youve got it down pat!

Faurecia is a daughter company of the Group PSA. And was one reason that saved the company in the last decade for collapsing.

touch screens for cars are a terrible idea. if you dont use the sense of touch and feel of a button you are forced to use your eyes and that means not looking at the road! very very dangerous.

Eirini M yup, and fast forward three years and the 2021S class Mercedes center console is about to do the Tesla thing and the range rover I bought last year did as well-all screens and no buttons. I hate it. It should have dynamic softkeys instead. Even the controllers on the doors and the steering wheel are context-dynamic, and the surfaces are completely smooth. There’s no way to palpate where a function is on all that dark minimalist glass without looking even once you learn it...Which is just as well because different contexts present differing numbers of functions from the same surface- so you’re never gonna get the hang of it without having to look anyway. It took me a VERY long time to learn the UI well enough to be able to operate it while driving without having to endure whatever music or climate until sometimes stopped at a traffic signal but usually all the way to the destination.

i think that an OLED display would fit better to Alfa cocpit because in its case there's no light from blank space on the screen

The dashboard in a car shouldent steal attention away from the driving. Every button, switch and knob carefully placed reachable within a fraction of a second.
A dashboard that lights up like a christmas tree and there you have to execute a number of touch-generated steps in the right order to adjust the heater is not the future - I hope. I´d like to think that it is a momentarely fashion that disappears with a bang, because the custormers dont really like it. Touch screens a step forward though from the concept of scrolling trough menus with a "Scroller" besides the gearknob. What were they thinking ?

These solutions actually look retro. It's been tried before and failed. Tactile response is key in good ux and it adds safety. Look into it, alot of tests has been done on these topics. I know design and aesthetics is subject to individual taste but in my mind these dashboards are the pinnacle of ugly.

this active wellness program looks like a great way how to hack your privacy. Another step to matrix. I dont need my car to keep scanning my eyes and gestures. Next thing you get is penalty point for not holding your steering wheel.

Senso touch is future of robo-cars, but human driver = road intensive eye communication. Innovative technologies without ergonomics and aesthetics with apart of tactile sensations = all the world accident dangerous road. It's similar to enchanting designers dress show most totally inapplicable to real life.
