    That's cool that they will use the slabs out of that cedar. I've yarded through tons of that stuff. If you yard it down here you are wasting diesel.

      Yes, I used to tree space in the 90's. Saw an unbelievable amount of large cedar on ground from the early 80's. But eventually the shake blockers gotter out of there!

      @BjarneButler  Місяць тому +2

      Cedar is worth a lot of money right now and that was probably right on the road. We’d just finished the r/w and continuing up the hill

    Bjarne, I really look up to you and your work. U must be in excellent shape and never smoked a cigarette or something like that. I quit smoking cigarettes 15 yrs ago and I still get exhausted just watching you work 😂😂😂. And I am not much on working when I can see my breath. I've noticed that you seem to enjoy the cold weather 😂😂, I'll be at home when it's going to be cold on the Mountain. 😂😂😂, I could watch you all day long and then I start feeling tired from watching U work. C U later 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻.

      Thanks for watching. Nope never smoked but now that I’m getting older I gotta keep up my cardio on time off. Planning on getting a bike to keep in shape.

    Tell your partner to buy a real axe. :) short are handles are great in the little flatland trees but not so good in big timber country. Be careful out there gentlemen. :)

    As valuable as cedar is and because it almost always has a rotten center, I wonder that the cruisers don't strap more of them, especially on the kind of terrain you are working in the past weeks.

    • @BjarneButler
      @BjarneButler  Місяць тому

      Some jobs their strapped. They’re usually strapped on the steeper ground where they’re most likely to break/split
