    Your videos have the same quiet style of Bob Ross. I'd love to see a video of how you prep a canvas and how you build it up with the black gesso and the liquid clear, and base colors!.

    Thought it was rather Quiet when I watched it though I was going deaf. :) Love the cold colors of this painting and your right the hot colors do draw your attention although the light spot in the back gets my attention made me think of some apocalyptic sky in the beginning though. This is a lot of what Oregon is like but just add rain.

    I love how you paint on black and your colors are so beautiful and your details are awesome. I've only been painting for a year and I've come along ways thanks to Bob Ross and then I found you and omg your awesome , I love to watch you I can't get enough of you. So more please, but please try a horse on black please I want to see you do it before I try it. Once I see you paint it then I'll know I can do it. I look forward to your next painting and hopefully it's a horse for me. Lol. Love Connie

      Connie Tolbert For Bob Ross style, but with more details and realistic tones, you should check out KevinOilPainting's channel, though he won't show most of his paintings in their entirety, but it's good to get some ideas of what can be achieved with this style.

      adarkerlight ok thanks a lot I'll check him out but your still my favorite. I was wondering if you considered what I ask you to do for me, painting a horse head or body on black, I did try it but it turned out cartoony , but I did give it my all, you're much more of an artist then I am I'm still learning ,hope you could try for me and show me or give me some pointers I would appreciate it, thank you so much. Your biggest fan, Connie

    I've seen a lot of your vids and you're a great artist but I don't know why you blurred the bottom of you Vtree. I don't know maybe it was the way your camera picked up the sheen of light but the bottom of the v tree bothered me.

    Also I need help when I get back to painting on how to do pine trees and regular trees right. Pine I know you have to hold the brush in a certain way. Triangle shape marks. I know how to do the bushes and trees but then I know i don't do the dark areas and light areas like a tree should have. Shadows and lights.

    Beautiful . On the black gesso after putting magic clear, how do you decide which transparent colours to put in where? Where exactly have you put alizarin crimson,prussian blue etc ? Why i have this question is at the top it is green, below half shows more of a blue colour.

    Jason, I did everything you said but when I add my yellow and white for the background and add the paint to the canvas it doesn't work in the same. It's such a cool effect. Any recommendations?

    • @JasonBowen
      @JasonBowen  8 років тому

      Are you using Bob Ross oils? This technique is really geared towards those paints. It is possible to do it with other paints but you will have to experiment with the amount of paint you put on the black canvas. I usually don't use much.
