Thanks to Mick and Peter, we'll see them again soon!
Every Duesenberg product I've heard tonally blows me away including this amp! These two are absolutely killing it on every level as they cover almost every musical genre. Their excitement is palpable... WOW!!!
I get nearly just as excited when I see a video with these two guys as a Chappers and The Captain video.
Great to see you guys back together! Love your playing style and tones so much! Let's hope for more guitar paradiso videos!
Man that's a great sounding amp, both of those guitars sounds brilliant through it.
Actually really enjoy the way these guys review, I guess it's just something fresh and different from chappers and capt.
+Elliott Leigh They know their gear, deliver reviews professionally & I love having a coffee to Peter & Mick playing.
Plus I hate hate chaps playing
+Nicnight theirs is tasteful
+Nicnight absolutely bored to death with Rob's mindless shredding
Eliot McCann still not as bad as shredding plain scales
Great vid really like the how the channel videos are more versatile lately. Keep up the great work
You two should have an own channel, I really love the both of you playing together. Fantastic reviews!
Wow, guitar’s , amp and even the pedals sound absolutely amazing, real quality !!! Also, great playing by both guys !!! 😍🎸👌🔥🔥🔥🔥
9:19 THIS IS THE WORD !!! this is the word that got mostly lost ! Individuality is the KEY. and NONE else can allow you that better then Duesenberg . Such a GREAT word Pet. YOU got it.... Pete and Mike : JUST KEEP doing such good videos. GREAT JOB !!!!! :-) :-)
Duesenberg keeps surprising me. Mick and Peter keep up the good work
really like these video's guy's
pretty much the two best players on youtube!
Joe Gillespie greg koch is pretty unbeatable from wildwood
really nice. kind of a early rock-n-roll put into modern times kind of sound. I bet country guys will be all over it too. that clean tone was awesome. chimey and full at the same time.
To those wondering if Duesenberg Guitars are made in Korea, take note that NOTHING IS MADE IN KOREA. DUESENBERG GUITARS ARE 100% MADE IN HANOVER GERMANY.
That Korea thing was nothing but a rumour.
These guitars play amazingly well, the build quality is second to none and the tone is outstanding. These are definitely not made in korea parts and assembled in Germany. These are 100% Hand Made in Germany.
Peace! ✌
incorrect...They aren't casting their knobs in house or in Germany...I guarantee you. The same goes for the trem systems....there's no way those are either cast or machined in house....no way...which is why the rumours started and spread....you obviously own one, or love them enough that you dont want to admit this...keep on researching, you'll find that Duesenberg has never denied that part manufacturing is outsourced to the finest OEMs in the world...but, they are still not made by hand in-house at a Duesenberg facility in the heart of Germany. Nope...they just aren't...it wouldn't make economical sense and the guitars would be twice the price.
Stephane Beauchamp-Kiss the carl carlton model sold ? no way, super clean your car no way, it just wouldn't make economic sense, you guessed it, no way, ok we get it Stephenie
JemmyJems_ actual All is made in germany EXEPT the body is cnc in korea. Its not a myth, the president of duesy said it, thats why they cannot label them as "made in germany" but the duesy are just very better in quality than any usa made guitar, custom shop 335 vs a duesy gran, it will be night and day in quality, germans are top notch enginiers specialy vs americans
knobs are made in japan. its actually stated on their spec sheet. still plays amazing though. I've the beautiful paloma heh! i can attest to the quality.
I'm lucky enough to own a Caribou and can confirm that the build quality is incredible. The knobs are heavy duty, the design is flawless and the tones are oh so good. It never goes out of tune when you use the tremolo and it's fully adjustable. 10/10 guitars!
So many good tones in that thing, I want one.
Cool tones, awesome licks. These two make a great duo. Also he said semi LOL.
+Guitar Stu Watch the videos of Mick on Guitarist. Him and another guy go through a bunch of drive pedals, it's amazing.
Yeah Daniel from the GigRig they do a pedal show on his channel it's top notch!
great review and great playing, superb sounding amp. 10/10
A Gosh. Duesey made Pete and Mick fall in love ... How sweet ...
Beautifully looking and sounding guitars and amp. Really like the style. And enjoy your playing as well, guys.
This amp with power scaling switchable to 5 watts would be an instant must have for me.
Have been missing Mick and Pete too. They review the products much more thoroughly than Rob and the Captain. More of them please.
mick and pete work so well together
That greenish-blue stuff on the knobs is actually Copper(II) Acetate, and somewhat toxic. Don't know why that would be on an amp.
But awesome video as always (and I'm more of a metal guy)
I own my self a Duesenberg guitar and would love to see more about these pedals guys :p
+Julien Cailleba (Vandemon) Hi Julien. We have 2 videos coming up this week and next of the pedals. Keep an eye out. Thanks for watching.
+Andertons Music Co Awesome !!!!
thank you for replying :) love this channel
+Julien Cailleba (Vandemon) No problem at all. The pedal video is up today. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching.
what a sexy looking amp. Rockabilly Rat style. great playing once again.
Looks top notch!! Love the appearance!
ditto on their originality, too many amp companies just making boutique versions of vintage fenders and marshall with period correct parts and what not. Screw that, I want something special.
Very "satisfying" sounds. If I had an original band in the vein of the 60s/70s era bands, I'd definitely go for that amp. Because you find your own sound while still sounding "era-correct".
Oh hey, it's Mick from "That Pedal Show". Feels weird without Dan or the wall of amps behind them XD.
sweet! please do some more duesenberg guitar stuff
Nice looking and sounding amp
Dang, played that one in the shop a few weeks back. Really magnificent amplifier. It’s a shame I can’t afford it though... :(
amazing players
seeing you both demo PRS guitars and amps would be a nice change as well... just a suggestion. keep up the paradiso!
Very art deco-ish designs
Jeez, where did I put that kitchen towel, need to mopp up that half a pint puddle of drool... Can't decide whether I want the amp or that blue guitar more badly... Great vid, lads, please keep them coming!
I actually really like the versatility of the amp (with the foot switch of the gains), but I cannot find one in the USA. TT
Chuck Taylors have awesome feel when it comes to stepping on pedals.. Boots on the other hand, are like: what the hell did i hit?
Awesome players! And that tone!!
this thing sounds killin
With the look of the guitars I assumed wrongly that the amp would be just a mellow, laid back type...which it does well, but I heard my shred sound go by as you nicely went through all of the sounds...if only :O)
Nice tones Mick!
Beautiful design on that amp I like it a lot, obviously they have thought a lot about the look of the amp. By the way I feel like this amp and these guitars would be right up Billy Gibbons alley.
OverNightGaming Billy plays one.
Would be interesting to hear this amp with a couple more standard guitars - Strat, Tele or Les Paul, maybe?
ooya! that all sounds great and surprisingly high gain. Probably not for me but that amp kicks loads of arse.
I love this video and this amp it´s perfekt
the Rev pedal sounds killer
I want one.
Great!
As for the recording, just the R1? What preamp/interface are you using for your demos? They sound fabulous!
At 15:42 it becomes an advertisement for converse :D
+jake schleifer I have 2 pairs of them, good shoes haha
Got the Catalina blue Doozy too ( my third Starplayer since 2011 ! 2 Firsts sold !!), love that tremola but find the neck pickup thin and trebbly.....Which pickup from Doozy would sound bassier and warmer too ? Grand vintage neck model ? Can you help me peter please ?
Best regards....
What has the no "F" hole that differs in sound from the "classic " starplayer tv ( I had too, and want a new one !!! Miss that vibrato system !!!) ? Thanks for your answer, best regards from France
Can anybody compare this with Two Rock Studio Pro 35? I mean the clean tone and the basic nature, anatomy of it? Or how well does it take pedals in comparison?
That amp looks and sounds so good just wow good work and great review as always but man these are expensive so are the guitars I mean the amp for 4000 and then the guitara for like 2k to 4k thats an expensive setup wow
Do these and Reverend and Rivolta come from the same factory? They have a very similar build and look even though different style etc. The Gretsch electromatic also have the vibe.
Nope, the Duesenberg's are made in Germany. This is what Capt. Anderton said about the whole Germany/Korea-thing: "OK - I have the definitive answer re whether or not Duesenberg Guitars are made in Korea or not. Duesenberg Guitars are 100% made in Hannover, Germany. The origins of the Korea rumour started 7-8 years ago when a guitarist mag MISTAKENLY printed a review saying that Duesenberg Guitars were made in Korea & assembled in Germany. This was incorrect. However, there are still several forums (including up until recently one on Thomanns web site!) that still mention this incorrect statement. I'm am hopeful that Duesenberg will shortly release some factory footage from Hannover that will finally put these rumours to bed."
Die haben es auch kapiert , einfach reinhören und alles ist klar !!!!
wish one of you would have played a strat or less paul so we could tell what the amp sounded like with guitars that other people owne
Leo Dicaprio is that you?
Who watches this in 2020? Pete and Mick.
Euh. I did ... Still in love with those Duesey's. Own a Custom. thinking of the Special and the Amp ...
Me
So these are the new Chappers and the Captain?
As far as I know the guitars are manufactured in Korea and not as Pete says in Germany
Nope, this was a rumor that is still very much alive and well, but this is what Capt Anderton said to make things clear: "OK - I have the definitive answer re whether or not Duesenberg Guitars are made in Korea or not.
ALMOST 4 GRAND! YOU`VE GOT TO BE KIDDING US!
+1066wastrel watched this 4 times now, if I could afford it, I`d buy that amp, sounds amazing, & Micks guitar looks the dogs!
Ya, just a bit to much. I’ll take a Supro ( also made in Asia and assembly in US) because they are a lot cheaper. About 3 large to much?
I'm sure I saw that amp in Fallout 4 last night.
Formative Pete.
Sawwwweeeeeet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Price ????
HEY !
HOW SWEET TO HEAR SOME NICELY CARVED ROCK'N'ROLL LICKS COMING OUT OF THAT CHANNEL.
( Sorry Chappers ! :D )
You should hire a REAL Be-Bop Jazz guitarist for your hollow bodies ... I bet a lager every day that you'd start selling some big fat Jazz guitars like crazy.
You guys need to get your hands on an Austria Nepomuk, Amp
i think this is the amp that johnny depp is playing
+André Bonolo True ... but the only reason is: he can't play a Line6-Spider 'cause hes afraid of insects!
Why don't you ever give us the cost of the gear you're reviewing?
+tenodogblu The prices are always in the description, check the links for prices. Thanks for watching.
Thanks guys, I love everything you guys do!! A massive thank you in helping me to select the gear I need, take care and keep on plucking.
Are Duesenberg guitars made in Germany? I thought they were Korean.
+63timfred All german! pretty cool, aint it?
+63timfred Parts are made in Korea (wood cutting/shaping/neck/frets etc), Assembled in Germany. It's a bit mis-leading the way the "Made in Germany" laws can be twisted
+dvstec Its a problem for all manufacturers & consumers - the law basically says that the "made in" stamp is where "most" of the manufacturing/assembly process takes place. So many parts for guitars & amps are made in the far east, that almost all products will have some element of far eastern work/components in them. I guess ultimately all that really matters is whether or not the product is good!
+CaptAnderton Completely agree! We're in a period of history where you can be reasonably sure your going to get a well made guitar no matter what country you buy it from.
I’m not disputing the quality these are great guitars, but for me it’s like if I bought an American Standard Strat and later found out that 90% of it’s parts was made in Indonesia and it was only put together like
a puzzle in the US I’d feel that it was mis-leading and that I was scammed.
9:15 "It's all hand made there"....unfortunately it's not....which is why I sold my Duesenberg. If only they were honest! These are assembled in Germany from outsourced parts....can we just be honest please? Then costumers will come back...
Made in Germany,yes.
Are the amps Korean as well?
I love German amps, sounds thicker than a snicker
