- I believe the p226 legion is the king of SAO for the price. You get an exceptional trigger, a great intuitive safety, manageable recoil. As far as I am concerned this is the crown jewel of Sig Sauers handgun line up. The new P226 compensated version is in a entirely different category plus weighs an extra 10 oz. This does so much that if you could only afford one gun ready to go out the box this would be high on my list for sure.

I really like your content so far. I am a relatively new subscriber. I am really kicking around the thought of the 226 Legion SAO or Zev 226.
If you plan to run a comp or a suppressor, the zev would be the way to go. You are paying more for astethics and a threaded barrel. Over a standard p226 Legion, however, looking cool is half the battle. If those are things you aren't concerned with, the p226 legion cost saving will get you a light and a holster for the price of the zev.

You can't go wrong with this gun. It's definitely a good contender against a Staccato P, especially for the price.
2 totally different shooting experiences and I don’t feel a relevant comparison
@BrandonD I wouldn't say that they have a lot more in common. It's definitely not an apples to apples comparison. However, it's also not an apple to potato comparison. It's more of a lemon to lime comparison. Both are hammer fired, both have relatively high bore axis, both are double stack, and both have manual safeties. Triggers are not exactly comparable as far as mechanically. Yet both are true SAO Triggers.
Legion Sao I'm considering one of these as a duty weapon.

Which plate are you using for the rmr?
None, the newer models come with screws holes already for the RMR.
Is this the 226 x5 Legion?
No, just plain ole P226 SAO Legion. The X5, in my opinion, doesn't offer anything I'd like for a price increase and a 10oz weight increase.
