I can't figure out if I'm more of a 2 or a 6. My top 3 types are 2,6, and 9.
This is so helpful!! I have a good friend who I was trying to decide which type they are between these two.
Can someone have 2 tendencies when they are younger but identify more as a 6 as they mature and grow to the point where they realize they need healthy boundaries? I ask because I thought that I was a two but I’m finding that the older I get and the more I’ve grown that I think I’m a 6...I flip flop back and forth with the tests that I’ve taken. sometimes I’ll be 49% 2 and 51% 6 or the other way around :-/
I identify with both also but primarily as a 6 -- I know I am, because I obsessively over-think everything (head type) whereas 2s are more emotionally motivated; and ... 2s are eager for emotional closeness, 6s are more distant / uneasy with people who want to get too close too fast. So a 2 will be more confiding, in an attempt to build a connection; the 6 will withhold more of themselves.
Ashley, I wondered the same. I tested a 2 but feel me making boundaries has made me a 6. Also I'm wondering if stress in my life now has made me doubtful and more 6.
im an isfj (mbti was easier for me) and i think i am a 2 or maybe a 6 but i have a really hard time telling because i have bpd so

Do you have any good links or information on what friendships look like between these numbers? I’m a 2 and that was right on point for me but am curious to learn more about how to relate to different types better.
Hey there, yes! The best resource for (what we'll call) "type combinations" is the Enneagram Institute-- they do a great job covering the pro's and con's of relationships between people of each type. I can't figure out my tritype: 126 or 162
Personally my opinion is that “tritype” is baloney.😬
@@EnneagramGirl ha ha, I feel the 2 and the 6 being very predominant in my personality, more than any other enneagram. And with my wife that is 972 or 927, those aspects of her heart and mind seem very strong too.
