The toddlers can read courses are the best. I am using them already. You can do it too with your child. It feels so good to teach your children. English is my second language and I can still do this work because of these courses. He tells you exactly what to do and give you a lots of examples. When I see someone working hard I think it is time to tell others, to pass the news.
I am so incredibly glad I found this channel! My 3-year-old can name all the letters, but I've been unsure where to go from here. This is a wonderful next step! Thank you so much!!!
I am just coming across your page, and I must say...I am glad to see a male teacher of color! You are so need my brother! Thank you for the information you are bringing! Super inspiring!! Shalom
Oh my gosh I have no idea how your video popped up for me but my son knows all his sounds & I’ve been really stumped about how to help him maintain his interest in letters!! Thank you!! I’m now off to find your blending lesson, there must be good words to start with ❤ thank you so much!! Love your energy 😊
I purchased an order for my grandchildren last week and was very impressed with the quality of your products and the usefulness of them so I just ordered both book sets. Thank you for the help!! Kim
Well done! 😊 I'm super excited to teach the new, incoming third grade students who don't know their letter sounds. I wish I would have found your reading course sooner. I would have bee able to help the students who did not know all their letter sounds.
I’m an educator and have believed in teaching sounds before recognition. Thank you for reminding me of the power a sound can have. Especially for those who have trouble pronouncing some sounds. I ordered your cards because every other product has pictures. I did have a question what list do you use to teach sight words? 1000 Sight words, Dolce? Do you have it where a teacher can just purchase your lessons or is it just a packet? Being a teacher it would be nice to be able to buy just your lesson book please. Thank you for your dedication as an educator.
Hi there, thanks for what you do as a teacher. :) I have 3 online courses that teach parents and caregivers how to teach their child to read. I don't teach sight words through memorization. Here's more info on sight words and you can also find info on my courses here: www.toddlersread.com/blogs/tcr-blog/the-best-way-to-teach-sight-words
For letter E should we teach them that it makes two sounds or not at first I love how your teaching us to be better mothers and also have bright children
These videos are made to help parents teach their little ones at home. For families in my courses, I recommend 5 minutes a day (can be less if you have very little ones) but of course informal learning/play can happen naturally across the day.
Thanks for your amazing videos, with this playing technique i’m able to make my child repeat the sounds, but when it comes to blending she doesn’t want to see the letters? She s keeping numb.. how to handle that?
Thank you very much for this. I'm a primary school teacher for English as Second Language. This really helps me a lot 🙏, I really want to buy those flash cards but it seems impossible to buy them from my place, I hope u make it available in more market place spec. for Indonesia.
I feel like any pack of simple letter cards would work! And if you can't buy them at a store, I bet they have them on Amazon or maybe someone could mail a pack to you. You could even make your own!
@@shelbycadwell9140 Yeah, thanks for the suggestion but I need something durable like Mr. Spencer's cards, these kids are reckless 🤣 .. I've bought several flash cards from store here but they are just made of thin papers, they start to curl on their own in just a few weeks. It's not so nice when u teach the kids in fun ways like throwing the card, stomp on them, picking them from magnetic whiteboard just like what Mr. Spencer told us to do when they start to not taking attention.
Do you have recommendations for an almost 6 year old who knows all letter sounds. He can blend words up to 6 letters or so however, he struggles to read smoothly. He pronounces all sounds before blending together. We are working on tricky sounds so he has not mastered those. However even easier words, he still pronounces each sound first.
Hello, Mr. Spencer! My student answers quickly and accurately while training sounds, but when they switch to another task and see those sounds together in a text or just small phrases they don't remember how to read them even separately. What would you recommend to do in this situation? I will appreciate your help!
any advice if it's a classroom of 20 children instead of 1-3? im a new teacher, teaching after it's already mid term and the previous teacher was teaching with the names of the letter instead of the sound so I have to make them relearn a lot (also im from Thai and students at my school are already struggling with Thai language too so it's even harder to teach English ;w; )
My 5-year-old son has learned phonics, but when reading, he doesn’t remember the sounds or read starting with the first letter. Instead, he pronounces the last sound first. What should I do to improve his reading?
@@mariiiz1436 for reading purposes, the priority is for them to learn the sounds of each letter. But you can also teach both the sound and the letters at once. Something like..."letter A, ă sound"... so that your child will know this is letter A and it make ă sound. Hope this helps

Start with story telling or play together for a couple minutes. Try to do a lot of exercises in between the lessons. Give them time to shake their jitter off. (Like every 10 mts or so) Set a goal, (e.g: do 3 worksheets) after they reach the goal, the child can pick one fun activity together e.g. singing or dancing (for some minutes) Play is the key to children's hearts and being active in studying helps them focus and give you some time😁

El idioma inglés debería dejar de utilizar el alfabeto latino porque tiene demasiados sonidos para tan pocas letras, especialmente si tomamos en cuenta las vocales. 5 símbolos vocálicos para 12 sonidos vocálicos. El alfabeto latino es perfecto para idiomas como el español o el italiano, pero no para el idioma inglés.

How do you do this with a group as opposed to 1 on 1?
Love thisss!!
What if my child doesn’t know all of the letter names, should we master that before the sounds?
If so, what lesson(s) do you recommend?
Can you also do math lessons? I’m trying to begin homeschooling my 2 and 3 kids
So, do we teach the alphabet before the sounds or just the sounds?
Please do you have online course for ecd
The problem is i need to learn them myself before teaching my kid😭

Is she 6-7 years old? I really like the sliding games and will give it a try. Do you have activities for groups of 10+ students?
My kid only asked to play games but I say it’s a good idea like I don’t like so get off and stuff. I didn’t say I think it’s a good idea to study now.

Is there any online tutors

J and Y are historically confused
G and J so confusing for sounds
As a German, I did not understand why Gg does not sound like Jj?
Journey/George
Jessica/Geography
Jamaica/Google
I am confused.
G ≠ J in the first place, but words like "gym" is pronounced like "jim". English being inconsistent lol
Not to be a moron 😂 but how do we know what eat letter sounds like? Maybe I need a beginner lesson/refresher
