I have just bought my singer heavy duty 4423 so far i love it ,but what i find is these videos so helpful on getting the most out of the machine. Im also a visual leaner, thank you for putting out these very instructive lessons
I use the 4452 and am new to sewing. As a male it’s not easy for me to ask my SWAT mates for sewing guidance. But these videos have been a life saver! Thank you!
you should start a sewing club with them
My mom taught me to sew 60 years ago. It's a very useful skill. You can make all kinds of useful things. Yes, people are surprised that a guy is into sewing, which is ridiculous, but there it is. I'm an engineer and am also intro welding. So, I tell them it's just like welding, but with thread.
Coulda just said “mates” and we would have understood edge lord. “My swat buddies” 😂😂😂 get sniped.
Thank you very much for a simple but effective tutorial!
Thank you for this. Love your videos.
forgot to mention to switch to an overcast presser foot for this overlocking.
Glad I saw this comment! I've been tearing my hair out as my cotton kept snapping and tangling....now I realise I'm supposed to use an overcast presser foot! Aaaaagh!
Hi. Thank you for sharing this with us. I would appreciate it if you could advise how to determine what is the right tension for the fabrics being used when using the overcast foot please? Thank you!
Amazing.many many thanks.I was in such a stress, coukdnt find any solution. Got this videi.amazing.thank yoooo
Its hard to see, are you using the standard foot for this? And, do you recommend buying the universal overlock foot contraption? Singer also sells the same one for a lot more money and they dont call it a overlock foot. In any case, should i use one?
when you say needle position far left, you seem to change the setting to far right, or have i misunderstood
You’re correct, she misspoke there, I think she said that because she was thinking that she wants the stitch to go to the left, and be off the right edge.
Thank you so much for the videos! Very useful. It's just that you use a high pitch voice to emphasize something too often, so it is difficult listen. If it would be possible to enable subtitles, that would be great!
Do I do this stitch to my seams only? Or do I also do the overcast stitch with hems too?
What foot did you use?
What is the purpose of the overclock that bounces left?
Love your videos! Why do I even need my serger🤨?
for really giving fabrics like knitted ones? I'm planning buying sewing machines, and I guess I would need a serger also, I rarely buy knitted sweaters because often they are too long for me (I'm a short dude with wide back) so I guess a serger is mandatory to make some tailoring on those kind of clothes....I guess. Am I right? I'm really new at this.
Do I have to go over seam in reverse to lock this in?
i think so
👍
I don't know what is causing the machine to sound as if it's knocking, now that I have changed the needle.
Heavy duty mean how much machine weight
I thought heavy duty mean it work better and stronger for a difficult fabric?.
Do not turn the side wheel away from you. You could damage your sewing machine.
Always wind the wheel toward you
Translate to Hindi please
Does anyone buy it for me I don't even have money to buy a used one please🙇🙇🙇😭😭😭😭
