    My mother used to call it wood work. We washed the walls every year and she’d always say “get your hands off my wall.” Lmao til this day (I’m 51) I still wash my walls. Can’t tell if I have smoker walls so I looked it up, but I don’t know if I have this problem. I smoke marijuana. Regularly wash walls, clothes, and carpet. Doesn’t smell like smoke in my place but I still worry. One thing I use for any tough spots is a Mr. Clean eraser. Super good for dark marks on walls, appliances and sneakers. Even cleaned the paint from another car in an accident off my car. Works wonders, not expensive…try it out!😊

    Whoa! I am a Big time smoker and living in a cold climate tend to smoke indoors with windows wide open. Spring cleaning time, now the sun is out.This actually works, no need for American cleaning detergents! Thank you so much! I added a little vinegar for getting rid of the smell. I am sitting here stunned at my white walls!

    AMAZED.....It actually worked!! Very time saving too and I can do a much larger area. I love those mops and have several on hand due to laminate flooring.
    Being a smoker and my late husband was also the only solution I knew was Awesome spray from Dollar Tree. That was spray, wipe, spray wipe over the walls and exhausting!! A huge thank you for showing something that actually worked and affordable.

    There's no way no how is some Dawn going to properly cut through the tar, nicotine and grease that make up a layer of smoky grime on the walls. Basically the only thing this video teaches is that you can clean stuff using copious amount of elbow grease with any old detergent - work harder, not smarter? If you really want to dissolve the greasy muck you need TSP, which is a degreaser.

    • @snoopybluejeans

    I've painted enough nicotine covered walls from years of smoking. Has no one heard of primer? This is what it's for, prime the walls 2/3 times with some good primer and then paint your color 2 coats. No need for all this. Kinda gross to me, getting the walls all wet, it soaks in ya know....they aren't made of plastic.

    • @MTeelTeach

    • @institches2750

      Wiping the walls is too gross for you, but sealing filth inside them forever is okay?
      A paint with sheen won't absorb water easily by the way. Though if you have flat paint, yeah, it can cause problems.

    This makes me sad to imagine this residue in people's bodies, and to imagine the issues that come with just living in a house like this. Thank you for helping people improve their homes like this, I'm sure just seeing the difference can help change how someone sees their life, improve their mindset about quitting/having quit smoking.

    • @aesaphyr
      @aesaphyr 10 місяців тому +4

      It's much, much worse inside people's lungs. In medical school we saw dissections of healthy lungs versus smoker lungs, and the smoker's lungs are just pure black. If you think about it, the tar and nicotine deposits on the wall are just what's landing on there from the air that's sitting in the room, whereas the lungs are actively filtering this polluted air. It's terrible. I'll never for the life of me understand how fellow medics go on to smoke when they've seen what cigarettes do to our bodies.
