A little tip for anyone doing this, paint your bottles with half and half pva glue and water. It helps the cement bond to the bricks. Also keep your mortar as dry as possible. If you don't the cement can sometimes shrink and leave a tiny gap between the bottle and cement.
Great explanation of how to make your bottle wall. I love the novelty of it being your toilet wall even though you can't look at it when you're on the throne!! Great art project never-the-less and I love the colours of the bottles. Well done!
Epic !!! 😂😂 Seriously though that’s awesome. I’m gonna do some of that in my shop, my shed, & my barn. Finding beer alcohol bottles won’t be hard at all.
Awesome!! Thanks for the very good video. I'm still watching. Someone told me that this could not be done, (use glass bottle, after it's cut in half) to build a beautiful wall/ thanks again!!
What did you use for mortar? What was ratio? I like yours because it doesn’t require going over it with an additional coat of something more smooth. You smoothed yours in the first application and it looks fine.
Hi I am planning to use bottles for designing our tiny house. Your video is good. I have got one question will moisture start forming in those bottles? What should we do for that?
Was the tile cutter wet, or dry? And, was it any special blade, or just a general size for tile- cutting? I had been thinking about using a tile-cutter, but I had images of it blowing up in my face! Thank you for demonstrating that it didn't!
Great work. Do you think the wall has to be a certain width? The two bottles taped together are probably...8 inches? What if you just used one half of the bottle and the wall was about 4 inches wide? Would that not be sturdy enough?
My bricks for this project where about 6 inches. I think 4 inches could work as well but u still want to use 2 bottle bottoms for one brick. I also supported the wall on ether side with 2*6 lumber.
Great video. Love the bottle bricks. Other videos I've seen say you need to remove the labels. Any idea why? If the labels are encase in the mortar why would it matter?
I haven't had any issue with leaving them on. Some of the bottle bricks in my wall have no labels and some with labels, I haven't noticed any difference.
When I cut with the labels on wine bottles the saw can 'catch' the label causing bottle to leap forward or backward. I solve it by cutting the labels laterally an not head on
Hi. Love your loo. I'm planning to make my first bottle bricks soon. Other tutorials have scoring and heat used to cut the bottles but I like your use of tile cutter. Do you think your method is more or less safe? Does it create sharp dust? Thanks
Hi I tried the other ways and found the tile saw was a lot faster, easer and a lot more usable bottles. There is a lot of glass dust as you can see on my coat in the video some of it sharp ware protective gear if you have never used a tile saw or table saw before get someone to show you! If your planning on making lots of bricks its worth buying a saw or renting one but if your only doing a couple of bottles use scoring and heat
Hi. Could you tell us what kind of mortar you used, and how the wall has stood up to weather, changes in temperature, etc.? I'd really appreciate it. Very nice little video. Beautiful wall!
Working in a construction site. I don't know how many times I look pathetic reminding workers to do that. Lol they just be like gloves is for the weak. 😂

I love your bottles wall idea. I saved over 250 bottles and now I know how to do. Thank you for sharing!

Looks amazing ! Hey when you look into the bottles can you see the paper labels ? Or do you take them off before laying them ?

I haven't had a issue with moisture.

It was wet and I used the blade that came with the saw
what mortar you use?

I can't recall the brand of mortar I just asked for masonry cement at the hardware store. the wall has stood up perfectly with no issues.
Why do the bottles need to be cut. Can you use whole bottles?
The cutting is so the bottles can be taped together and look nice from both sides.
Thats aweome
Nice, man. Does it let ample light through? Thinking I might go with mostly clear bottles to maximize light, what's your recommendation?
Green lets lots of light through, and I was surprised by the brown beer bottle kind of has a nice orange look.
Q material se usa para pegar las botella soy de guetemala gracias espero Respuesta
Duct tape
cinta adhesiva
what do you call the equipment for cutting the bottle
Tile saw
Is it necessary to cut the bottles because cut bottles creates lot of waste material
GOOD JOB ! : )
Dont drink alcohol its poison
Epic shit is what i strive for.haha
Wear gloves when working with concrete!!
Working in a construction site. I don't know how many times I look pathetic reminding workers to do that. Lol they just be like gloves is for the weak. 😂
Concrete burns are no joke. People lose limbs. Wear gloves.
Much more difficult if you try to rush it. It'll slump and collapse.Only do this in the summer months if your projects outside.
How do you get it smooth?
A damp rag the next morning, before it is fully set.
que disco usa para cortar?????
Beatiful I going to do that. My father die and he left a lot of botle collections
Did you make a wall?
Ver beatyfull ...please in spanish..
👍👋🤩😘
que lindo queda!!!
Gracias!!!
😍✔💯
your dog is not interested by your project😂😂😂
Mortar looks pretty dry that you started working with
The drier the mix the less shrinkage
I really don’t like the technique of cutting the bottles as it weakens them, the shape of the bottles is what gives it strength.
Well... I am happy You didnt You Tube the epic shit to match Your epic wall... lol. Beautiful wall bro!
todo bonito.. excepto que hay que usar guantes y una cuchara de albañil... saludos
Бобик лежит на воду смотрит, ему не интересны бутылки.
