- I’ve been waiting to check out this mod for a long time, so it was a blast to finally get to try it out against the creator himself. The mod is still in development, but I can’t wait to see how it turns out! / @aegiker

Would be awesome to be able to jump on the other player's sword like Dark Link (maybe a counter/perfect block mechanic)
That'd be such a cool addition, I wonder how difficult it would be to actually code for something like this considering the animation framework already exists

I think it would be more like doing a "Perfect Backwards Jump". Which would be jumping just when the enemy launches the attack.
I like how the mini boss plays whenever they get close, but then it cuts back to the peaceful kakariko music...
battle royale mode set in different areas... hyrule field, lake hylia, death mountain, gerudos fortress...
this has a lot of potential. ill love to see the progress.
also, different player models could be interesting
i like both of those ideas a lot. automatic map rotation between those areas could enhance the experience a bunch!
@@bradyonetv Maybe you can even have the mirror shield reflect the elemental arrows
(Probably with some kind of trade off but im not sure what it would be like maybe not being able to block sword attacks??)

Could use that timer from the volcano area for instant elimination from restricted areas to huddle remaining players to one singular spot like the top of ganondorf’s castle 🏰 any player who fall off are done for
I always thought if there was majora's mask pvp then the only way to see someone wearing the stone mask would be to use the lens of truth.
That, AND without the lens, attacking with the Stone Mask renders you visible until you escape their line of sight.
Then invisibility reactivates by sitting still for 3 seconds. And it'd be cool to give similar mechanics to... maybe 4 or 6 of the Happy Masks.

I did NOT expect the combat for something like this to be so dynamic and engaging, the untapped potential of OoT continues to blow my mind, man. How is this almost 20 year old platformer RPG being innovated on in more exciting ways than anything in the AAA industry right now
Yeah same I wasnt expecting the combat to be so exciting. I think with some more polish it could be a genuinely competitive game mode
@bradyonetv I honestly think so too, that'd be fun as hell. Someone below us was talking about the potential of adding the dark link sword jump as a kind of parry mechanic, idk how viable that would be coding wise but I think it'd really give players the level of mix up options for competitive play that something like this needs to thrive. I look forward to seeing where this goes either way
Would be amazing if the invulnerability frames could be adjusted to allow combos on basic hits but still prevent juggling on knockdown.
All the 3-hit sword combos have always been so underutilized since the hit's come out in quick succession.

This makes me realize how cool it would be for the Dark Link fight to be like the Dark Souls 3 Halflight Boss, where if you're playing online, that boss will be a PVP fight instead. So imagine Dark Link being an optional PVP fight.
Very similar to the dark souls 3 dlc boss fight
Just give the mod an option in which Dark Link randomly invades and starts attacking players indiscriminately until he is defeated 👌

@@KiddArachnid Another way of putting it is, the newer Zeldas, and even the newer nintendo is much more stupid games than they were on N64, the newer Zeldas were made for a larger and much stupider audience that demands only dopamine and endorphin brought by pretty lights, higher graphics so they can remain stupid. But hey if the sales are a good way for you to cope with your bad Zelda game, then by all means, I'm fine accepting the fact that we will never get a great Zelda game like those. But don't bring me crap and try to tell me it's chocolate cake.

pretty sure i saw brady make a jump mod for OOT, jump, flip, spin attack just like in smash bros. (a mid-air hookshot ledgegrab would be OP) id like jumping in this too.
also, rather than the stab attack (up+B) the smash attack would look really cool too. give it some knockback

Yeah i would love to see an extensive selection of maps later on! Right now there are only specific ones that function as intended (since he has to remove entities like the npcs and the doors from the areas), but i dont imagine it would be too hard to have a good selection of maps from the game in the future 😁

Around a decade ago, I dreamt of this mod, but there were many adult links, some of which were on horseback in gerudo valley. Awesome to see that dream become a reality
In an alternate universe where this was on the original carriage this would have been hands down the best game ever
Waiting for the rest of the soulcalibur 2 cast to come out.
I love how long the battles are as well. A lot of games just kind of have shorter bouts where it is not always intense until the final round, but this would even work online if each player only needed one win. Either way, this looks awesome!

Really satisfying gameplay to watch! The hookshot is kind of silly after getting nerfed but it still spices it up some.
Can’t wait to see a match where they are in the water temple and there are two dark links fighting with them. Maybe like a metallic green as green links buddy and metallic red for red links buddy. Tag team match.
It’d be cool if the mod gave you random load outs!

NGL with cosmetic mods and added weapons and maps this could legitimately be a fun Zelda Souls like PVP mode. Imagine having a roster of characters like Hyrule Warriors that all have different weapons and abilities.

can we take a moment to acknowledge the fact that the octos hit Red Link, even from Green's perspective? Can you guys do a co-op with this mod?
so idea:
-make the hookshot a shield foil if hit with the hookshot the guard ends and cannot restart until like half a second after the pull in animation ends
-maybe the hammer has like 1 hit worth of stagger resist as a spin attack foil?[that one would need testing]
This got SoulsBorne levels of intensity
Now make it working online, and as Invasions in main game!
I think it'd be interesting if this mod was modify to do something similar to dark souls. Where you join online on a group server, and can encounter random players while you're playing through the game.

Multiple players and make it so the hookshot should break and stun a gaurding player to make it a bit more rock paper scissors.

@@bradyonetv You can actually do that via Anchor, which is another mod for Ship of Harkinian that allows for online multiplayer, and it works just like Minecraft in the fact that any player can go anywhere. The only downside is that the shield doesn't work at all and there's no hit stun, unlike in this. I've done it with buddies, and it's a lot of fun

Zelda games should have stats. Like Attack, Defense, Speed, Agility, MgAtt and MgDef. With HP being your hearts and etc.
