Great tribute. Been watching the Tour since the late 80s, so this will be a weird one without Paul Sherwen. His passion really shown through, and he and Phil had good chemistry. RIP Paul.

A wonderful tribute to Paul. I was Club Captain at the Weaver Valley Cycling Club when Paul joined the club. Slightly erratic to start with but he soon learnt to ride with the club runs over the Peak District and North Welsh hills and the more gentle Cheshire lanes. He was a bit of a rascal and I remember on a YHA weekend we had to open a window at midnight to let him in. Paul was a wonderful person as this tribute shows and I was lucky to have known him at the start of his cycling career.

What I loved about Paul Sherwen is , he talked to us viewers as if we were part of the team, one of the guys. Like we belonged.

This was so beautifully filmed and produced. It made me understand why people loved PS, made me feel the sort of loss people like Herety and Peiper and the others must have felt when he passed. The blend of interviews and stills was perfect. We should all live such a life. And have people like Mazzochi and Davies to remember it.

Listening to cycling coverage without paul is strange. For me, phil and paul were the "voices" of cycling. When i sit on the trainer at home and put on older races it is strange to hear his voice knowing he is gone.

It's evident, through the words and expressions of his compatriots, that the Paul that we viewers thought we knew was just a glimpse into the lovely man that he was. Oh, will he be missed.

Awesome job Coreen! Watching the TDF this year just won't be the same without Paul, but it's good to see that his legacy lives on. Thank you for your work in creating this.

Someone who I look back on with great joy. My Raleigh Banana had his signature on and I loved it. His voice is one I'll always remember.

A lovely man. I loved his commentating (to be honest, much more than Phil's) as a past cyclist because he really felt what the cyclists were feeling and carried that passionately in his commentating, and I met him in Adelaide at the Hyatt hotel during a Tour Down Under where I often worked in the foyer (I often went there just for a coffee whilst doing some computer programming work). He was very kind with his time, even he didn't know me, and I talked about one of the past Tour de France races, and what impressed how present and attentive he was, and he had a constant kind of smile in his eyes.

"He was chairman of the Ugandan Conservation Foundation dedicated to saving Uganda's wildlife by supporting its national parks. And he led cycling-based safaris ..." All you need to know people.....Try it ! Care about everything, like he did.

Not that I want to use the passing of Paul in this way, you might enjoy the short documentary that is on my UA-cam channel, Steel is Real but Carbon is Quicker. Sean Yates and Sean Kelly were interviewed for it.

I lived next door but one to Jeff and Mike Williams and would see all these guys training. They looked so cool to an 11 year old on their Harry Hall bikes, Manchester Wheelers kit and eventually pro jerseys. Forty years later and I’m still mad about bikes and cycling thanks to these guys. I can’t say I knew Paul but knew how hard they trained. The time the tour allowed him to stay in the race after his epic solo ride through the mountains sums him up as an athlete and a person.
A great little film and my best wishes go to Paul’s family and friends.

I remember watching Paul at the kelloggs series in Bristol I think? incredible rider tenacious cyclist. When I got into cycling in 80s he was the first continental rider I came across riding for la redoute. Fantastic video and a privilege to watch a British icon RIP Paul.

Was thinking about him last night. He was also a very good looking bloke. I remember the early Channel 4 coverage when he and Phil got started. It was quite weird to have cycling covered in the UK at the time. That tandem just seemed like it would roll on forever.
