I'm a 65 y.o. retired grandfather using the KLEAR Integrated Korean college textbooks to self-tutorial myself. Half way thru the 3rd book and goal is to be conversational fluent by the time I get to go to Korea next summer. I'm under the impression that many Korean grandfathers study English as a retirement hobby. I would love to meet up with them for language exchange practice. What did I take away from this video? "Know more tomorrow than you did today!" One day at a time!
Very cool! The times I was in Korea, I found some of the old ahjummas really lovely and curious. But I also found people my age (mid 50s) to be kinda socially older than me, very grandmother-ish...but that may be artefact of the relatively small number of people I met in my age group. Maybe I just met the very traditional ones.
I don’t have big plans for my Korean. I just find it really interesting and really fun, even when I’m frustrated. I just want to understand more and more of the dramas that I watch and have fun. No pressure to learn fast.
I'm also doing it for fun, but people always ask me why i am learning it or what does that helps in my career... but i just do it because i want to, not for my job or for money.
@@deb7674 it happens. Nowadays it seems we can't ever do anything just for the fun of it. People are obsessed with "not losing time" and "being productive".

When Hyunwoo said he had a "10 yr hiatus from German and now he's back learning it again", my heart leapt with joy with the realization that I'll be ok with Korean. For the last 7 yrs I've been struggling with grief from the death of my husband and dogs from illness, and I was unable to fully do the things I wanted. In the beginning of that dark time, learning Korean was a way to lift myself out of the grief as much as I could. But for the last two years or so, I haven't been studying Korean as much and I wasn't feeling good about it. Hyunwoo's statement about learning German has shifted my mindset completely and now I can give myself a break and get back into studying Korean. This video came at the right time. Thank you Hyunwoo and Billy.
10:24 - 10:34 hearing this, being Brazilian definitely hits me. I wouldn't say im FLUENT in english but surely on a advanced level, and now im studying Korean THROUGH English. Bro, I'd say that less than 3% of Brazilians know English at this level , bc our school education of English is so poor that we even joke about it, like "I've spent 8 years at school learning English and i don't know how to conjugate the to be verb". I often forget that learning a language is hard, and is a luxury for a lot of people, and i feel the need to be GOOD in Korean, to study it at a FLUENT level, to understand EVERYTHING that is said to me, or else i am stupid and dumb and i just wasted my time, but NO!! that's not how it works bro, be happy with what you have and not sad about what's missing. Be happy and enjoy the process, not the results, because sometimes the results will be that big and it's okay !!
"We will be around for a long time" You better be!! This video helps a lot!! I definitely beat myself up almost daily because I feel like I am not doing enough to learn. Thank you for being great teachers.
Thank you so much for this video, seeing Hyunwoo at age 40 start learning German gave me the courage to keep going on learning languages and get back to studying Korean again. I was very disappointed thinking that I was too old to learn languages at the age of 30.
I had to learn that I have "good" Korean days when I feel almost fluent (I'm not even close) and "bad" Korean days when I feel like I forgot everything -- and then realized that is really true of everything we do: when do better some times than others. BTW, when someone says "Say something in Korean," I always reply 한국어로 뭔가.
You have no idea how much I needed to hear this! I have been so down about my Korean level. It feels so stiff and I have been really feeling down about it. I really want to stop seeing how much I still have to learn and start seeing just how much I have already learnt!
The title caught my eyes and definitely made me want to click it right away, haha. Yes, there are tons of reasons :) By the way, you two guys are one of our favorites 😆🇰🇷 빌리와 현우님의 콜라보 멋집니다용!
The two headlights of my Korean learning vehicle... Thank you. I'm glad you made me feel better now Edit: omg... I'm a med student... so your "you can't become a doctor in Korea" totally cracked me up... Edit 2: I'm just saving this video for life.
Their convos could lead to more convos. Today I was wondering...if a westerner spoke mostly Korean for a year, how would that change their facial muscle memory and strenghten the muscles/tone the tongue and mouth muscles used for vocalization? It's kind of a random question but I feel like these two would have so many different answers and maybe prolly Billy's already covered it. I'm thinking of speech as a physical exercise.
This is so good and helpful~~ This is like a breath of fresh air~ I was feeling overwhelmed by current difficult situations in my life. And I was petrified I would sound really silly to the guy I like, if I tried to speak Korean to him without being really good / fluent at it, yet. But this video has given me so much encouragement~~ Thank you, Billy~ Some days I learn for 1 hour, the next day 2-3 hours, but other days I go almost a week not learning much at all, and then I get frustrated with myself.. But not anymore! I appreciate this so much and I'm relieved to know that I'm not the ONLY learner to experience these kinds of feelings and fluctuations in learning.. Thank you for this video. It's truly brought me such encouragement to keep on learning~~ Thank you for making this, 감사합니다~~ ⭐️⭐️ 🙌😊🌟
This is inspiring, I do struggle everyday to focus on learning. I mean I’m raising a kid but I need to really focus more and stop procrastinating. Thanks for this video helps to get back on track. Really appreciate it
I was actually thinking just the other day about the progress I’ve made, which I like to do when I’m feeling discouraged about my Korean level. The things I used to struggle with that I no longer do, the things I still struggle with (and I need to practice more!). It’s always really encouraging to me to take that look back and remind myself that I’ll keep improving as long as I keep going. Thanks for this video, too! I know we all appreciate the encouragement. On being discontent with your abilities once you reach a more advanced level, I think that’s a good point. I think I would say that I’m intermediate with Spanish, only because I got too comfortable with being able to converse decently, rather than trying to continue to improve it. 😅 I’ll need to keep that in mind for Korean, as I hope to go further with Korean than I have with Spanish.
I SO needed this video. I am getting back into learning korean (still in the beginner stage) and i wanted this time to be more positive. I was always worried about my progress or not being as good as this other person. This time i will be more positive and give myself more grace. Thanks for this video!💜
I just posted in Bangtan Academy about how badly I was feeling about not being able to retain everything I was learning in my class. And then the very next video I saw was this one. I practically cried just hearing you guys tell me that it was okay and I'm doing well. I've learned a lot, and it's okay that I don't know everything yet and I don't remember everything. I appreciated hearing this so much! Thank you for making this video Billy and Hyunwoo!
This video came at a great time, as I have been having these feelings after more than a year of learning Korean and last week I was so frustrated I cried during my iTalki lesson. Then I also reminded myself: look at all the things you can do already. And if you can answer the question "Does this make you feel happy, does learning, listening, reading etc. Korean make you happy" with "yes", then just keep going. Today during my iTalki lesson I was already so much more confident and happier than ever before with what I could say and my teacher is so lovely and encouraging that there is no reason to worry anyway. Also, as a native German speaker, I also want to say "wow" that 선현우 선생님 learns German. Viel Glück! 그리고 빌리 선생님 재미있는 영상을 올려주셔서 감사합니다.
I find myself watching this in a nice countryside with a beautiful landscape, two little ostriches walking around and a pony at a distance. UA-cam really needs the option to send pictures. Great video as always and have a nice day!!!
I’ve been studying Korean for over two years and just have scratched the surface. There are two year olds at church who know more Korean than me (It’s true. I attend a Korean church!). Thanks for the video. I will be kinder to myself. And if I can get to Korea next year as I hope to, hopefully I’ll not only be able to ask where the bathroom is but understand the directions!
TTMIK is my saviour. Unknowingly I can now understand written Korean too.. Though I am just a Beginner but due to my academics and work I barely get enough time for Korean. I badly needed this video
this is true, i do need to give myself a break, ive been studying for almost 5 years and am still mid intermediate but thinking about it , not only coming from an english native speaker perspective but also it being my first language and also being a level 5 language at that, i needed time to learn how to learn, how to learn a language, learn stuff about my own language etc etc so i like to take about 6 months off that to get a more realistic timeframe , but yes this video was very much needed , some great points and tips made, thank you !!
thanks for this comment because I'm the same way and it feels good to know that other people around 4-5 years of learning are not completely fluent or advanced yet. Whenever korean teachers say it takes 6 months to become conversational, I suddenly feel like absolute garbage haha
Hi Billy, I simply wanna say THANK YOU!!! Your videos along with my books and apps are helping me so much. I want to visit Korean next November for my 35th birthday and I would like to be at least conversational by the time I get there with plans to continue to study afterwards- it's the language that I am in love with the most and brings me so much joy when I learn something new or can make a connection from a previous lesson. My goal is to eventually get to advanced and this video made me very happy and put me at ease. Thank you both so much for reminding me that it is a marathon and not a sprint. I just wish you could feel how grateful I am
This could not have come at a better time because sometimes I'm really proud of myself for what I've learned since starting in June and sometimes I feel a bit discouraged. Not comparing myself is a really important one, and having the patience and trust that it will come with practice and discipline and time. Thank you!
I am a slow learner. I am at year 3 of my 7 year plan of learning Korean. Started in 2019 with level 1 of TTMIK. Planning to finish level 10 TTMIK in 2025. Enjoying the process . Fighting!
found this video when i really needed it😭 i’m going to study abroad for a year, after studying korean like a maniac for 6 years. i feel like this year i haven’t studied as much as i used to, and i was in the mindset that now when i finally am going to korea, my korean isn’t even as good as it could be. thank you for this video ❤️
I try hard to learn Korean 2 hours a day after work but sometimes I'm just too tired to get myself to learn Korean. I basically just have time on Saturday and Sunday to learn Korean for more than 2 hours.
I needed this video, truly. I’ve been learning for 2.5 years and I sometimes feel like I could do more and lose confidence, but in reality I actually know more than I give myself credit for. I regularly and confidently text Korean friends in Korean with no issue. And remembering that the progress will not be seen overnight but this is a long haul experience gives some perspective. Thanks guys, I’ll keep working at it and using both of your channels to keep at it!
You know more than: "안녕하세요, 잘지냈어요, 그래, 대박,만나서 반갑습니다,반가워요,하고감사합니다. 🙃You can write ✍️ sentences like a five year old native Korean now Pat yourself on the back !!
You don't know how much I needed this video right now. I have been doubting myself way to much lately, with not enough time, or I'm not learning fast enough, or I don't want to disappoint my teachers etc. Thank you for this video ❤ I really needed it ❤
I definitely needed this video. I've been learning Korean for about 3 and a half years, but mostly through osmosis. I taught myself 한글 and casually familiarized myself with the language through basic exposure (shows, music, videos, written song lyrics, etc). Since my learning style has been so passive, there's a lot of holes in my Korean that make it hard for me to stitch sentences together or comprehend what I'm hearing (even if I technically know every word). I know many random general things, but my basics are so scattered that I would struggle to maintain a spoken conversation, lol. These past couple of months, I've been getting more intentional about really refining my Korean, so seeing other learners who have been studying as long as/for a shorter time than I have with a much higher proficiency level has been making me very self-conscious. But it's not too late for me, as long as I keep learning! Thank you so much for making a video on this topic. Your teaching style is definitely very healthy; I'm glad that I ran into this channel this week! Also, Mr. Hyunwoo here is far more chaotic than I expected, and I absolutely love that.
I always appreciated Hyunwoo's humor!^^ btw I am getting back on track after more than six years for Korean, and I am happy and only could make it again by focusing positive sides of learning Korean.
I appreciated this video because like most people, there are times when I wonder if I'll ever really "get it". I've been studying Korean now for 1.5 years, and I still love it, and when I think back to how little I knew back then, I realize how far I've come. I'm not fluent, but I'm starting to get slightly conversational, which is my goal. Thank you for covering this topic.
Thanks! I've been studying on my own for 3 months and it's exciting when I watch an episode of a drama and recognize more words each week. I live in Mexico and I'm fluent in Spanish, but you're right - we never stop learning, not even our mother tongue! I feel like I have an advantage by this being my third language because I can make more associations. Bread in Spanish is "pan", not too different from 빵. No matter how crazy, I try to come up with some way to tie new words to previous knowledge and I think it helps with retrieval. I've subscribed and look forward to learning a lot from you!
Recently I’ve been trying to speak Korean to the Korean staff around the city. Most of the time I’ve been too shy and can only muster up 감사합니다, but just the other day I said a full sentence in Korean! I was so nervous, especially when she kept speaking to me in English.. 🙈
Hyunwoo was talking about learning German earlier so when Billy said 'feel good' at 13:30 I thought he was going to say "Viel Glück" 😂 thank you for the motivational video! I will definitely need this during the tough days of Korean learning.
i really needed to hear this! i’ve been self studying for almost 5 months now and while i’ve made some progress, it’s been slow 😅 some days i just do not have the time or energy to study or review and then i feel bad for not doing anything. i have to remind myself that it’s okay to take my time and go at my own pace. there’s no rush!
감사합니다! I am learning for fun because I love the sound of Korean and sometimes, I feel a bit down because I can’t make a real sentence yet, so this was good to hear! Mais j’aimerais beaucoup avoir une conversation en français avec Hyunwoo!! 😊😊
Marvel: 'Infinity war is the most ambitious crossover event in history' Billy and Hyunwoo: 내 컵 들어 줘 Jokes aside, I really needed to see this video. 이 영상을 만들어서 정말 감사드립니다!
I feel like that almost everyday. I wish I could write all these in Korean but still can't. Though I can recognise and read many things I am still bad at listening and need subtitles. You are doing great job, without you I would be even lower than now , it's been one year and I hope I'll study everyday for many years. 빌리와 현우씨 너무 감사합니다. 진짜 잘했어요!
Also am I the only one who doesn't like those clickbaity videos like "HOW I BECAME FLUENT IN KOREAN IN (insert insanely small amount of time to learn any language)" - no offense, but I always feel weird about these kinds of content because it's not really about being able to learn Korean the fastest, it's not a race ya know? Learning it fast doesn't matter (unless you have a reason to learn Korean that fast, like a new job in Korea 🤔) Everyone has their own pace, and I am learning how to enjoy the journey and not getting stressed about finishing it. So for anybody who thinks they are too slow, that's not true! You don't have to learn anything in X time, there's no correct time for this :D
this is fantastically timed and I feel better after having watched it. i've started studying korean for about a year but it was very on and off with how busy life was so I haven't made much progress as I feel like I should've. I'm excited to have more time to get back into it. feeling more inspired to make this a lifelong journey. :) good luck, everyone!
This could not have come.at a better time. I work almost 12 hour days and am too tired to pick up a book and study when I get home. I at least try to expose myself to Korean on a daily basis, whether its dramas, music or books. I still felt like I was lagging behind. The time I need to study will come around again and in the mean time I will utilize the Korean I know to the best of my ability. 이 비디오를 너무 감사합니다!
This made me feel a whole lot better! Lately, I've been feeling discouraged because I haven't had much time to study. I do my best, like listening to both of your videos and podcasts when I commute to work. But I refuse to give up because it's always been on my bucket list to learn another language. Sure, it would have been easier when I was younger, but I'm not giving up on myself and I'll eventually get to where I want to be...even if I have to stumble the whole way to get there 😆
I'd also like to add that even if you only had time to look at 5 vocabulary words a day, you're still getting that information in your brain and that's awesome! I often stumble across words that my brain recognizes. I might not remember what they mean, but my brain has at least absorbed the information enough to recognize the word. Which will help learn it faster.
What Hyunwoo said about focusing on what we know and what Billy said about not having enough time to study are both very encouraging for me! T^T I always feel like I don't have enough progress and that I should study more. But if I think about it, I'm actually doing better than I did 5 years ago and that should be enough. This video really helped me feel better! I'll definitely be a little kinder to myself while studying hard ;__; Thank you for this!
7:42 is so true 🥲 At first I had a lot of time to study... but now I am much more busy. So I'm looking for different ways to practice my Korean, any opportunity I find is worth it It's much slower, but I'm still going on 👍 Also so true about the fact that we WANT to learn Korean and it's great because it's much more fun and interesting (I had to learn English at school... much more stressful than what I am now going through with Korean 😌)
I know this isn't the most recent video, but I am glad that I found this today. I've been in Korea for 10 years and have been kind of mad at myself for not being better at it. I was dealing with a lot right before and during the pandemic and have not actually studied Korean in a couple of years now. I want to start studying again but need to over the fact that I'm not fluent and have enough Korean to live in Korea. That is cool.
I needed this! I just started studying Korean this year, and a couple of months ago, I found a Korean coworker. I try to say simple things, but when they respond, I don't understand any of it, and it's a little discouraging, because I feel like my listening skills are so far behind. So all of our conversations are one way. I will keep going, and try to learn a few new things every week. Thank you
Thank you so much! That's what i`ve been thinking about for few months. This video helps a lot. If I need a little reminder that "Slow progress is okey" I'll come back and watch it again. 여러분 화이팅 !
I am currently in a struggle of where I write and test better than I can speak. I think it is because I have the time to organize my thoughts on paper vs coming up with a sentence quickly off the top of my head. This is the exact moment when I feel I don’t know Korean at all. I guess I need to apply the “Take your time” method to speaking Korean as I do in writing/testing. I often feel that if I take my time in the conversation, people will lose interests, and eventually want to stop talking with me 😩. I keep telling myself to stop thinking this way, for I am a learner. Studying grammar, reading books, doing listening exercises for 2.5 years, and then not having people to speak Korean with really slowed my speaking progress, but after setting up a few language exchanges, and making Korean speaking friends, I can see the difference in my speaking/comprehension. This video is very helpful. Thanks for the encouragement. I have used TTMIK and Go! Billy Korean from the start of my Korean Language journey. Please keep up the great job in providing a gateway to learning Korean 🤍
Thank you thank you for the video and encouragement. Just what I need. I first learnt Korean back in 2011. And its been 10-ish years since I get into it again, and I totally felt like a loser. And a tad bit shame of myself for letting those 10 years went by without improving/ learning Korean. But after I watch this, I’m motivated again to continue learning and making mistakes and learn again. Its a looong journey but I think I will be able to handle it as long as I treat myself with kindness. Thanks again for the video. Appreciated it really!
I moved to Korea 2 years ago and I am working on the language, I have a basic understanding of basic sentences and constantly feel like I need to get fluent fast so I can keep up with the people around me. Thank you though for your books and youtube channel, I use it weekly!
@@noemi8872 it has been a great experience, I mean with cover things have been hectic and stressful, and there is some issues with anti-foreigner talk, but for the most part it has been a friendly place and beautiful.
what a perfect timing for me to see this. I started to learn Korean during the second lockdown in Germany, because I could't go to work during that time. Now the hotel is open again and I am able to work but I don't have that much time or energy to study and I felt a little bad about it. So thanks for the little reminder that I am doing fine :)
love this video. i wanna be a translator, although i’ve only been studying for 3 years i practice by translating novels for fun, but i feel like i have to study the entire korean history and 사자성어s to learn every. single. word. to not embarrass myself. my ambition to prove myself drives me crazy bc i’m majoring in korean w/ a perfect grade and finishing korean novels within a few weeks but bc i’m so scared of making mistakes and not proving myself i still don’t have the confidence to even speak w/ natives. not even over phone or irl 😭 which makes me feel like i’m not fluent, idk if i am able of it but scared, or i’m scared because i’m not able of it… i’m applying to study abroad at yonsei next yr to achieve quite a long dream of mine so hopefully i will have some confidence by then 💝
it’s gotten to the point where my korean friends don’t know half the words in my vocab list and i don’t even know if i’m doing myself the opposite of a favour by focusing on collecting all the rare words like pokémon instead of putting my focus into something else idk…
☺️this video made me feel better. I can form some sentences on my own, but then I forget some basic things I “should” know. I try to study every day, along with deal with every thing in daily life. It’s hard but I wanna visit in 2023(or sooner)
Thank you so much! This video give me so much comfort. I mean, it is kinda soothing since i've been stressing out. I don't have big goals but if i have a chance to be a translator I WOULD LOVE TO DO THAT!! I've been learning for like 2 months but the progress is a bit slow since i kinda have a short term memory. I am also kinda have some 'slump' times for a few weeks when i feel so unmotivated. Some day my brain just could'nt work, i can't process the information even it's only a few simple words. There are someday that i forfot everything... i'm glad i found this video.. i just have to remind myself that it's okay that learning takes time, a baby steps is also a progress even if it's slow.. 🌟
I love this video. Just what I needed to hear right now. Been learning Korean just under a year and feeling frustrated with progress. I needed this pep talk. Thank you!
This video was so satisfying!! I literally get anxiety attacks at times trying to learn more and more and get better ASAP so that I can start a new chapter in my career but I think now I'm gonna take it a bit slow and enjoy the ride while learning! 감사합니다 선생님들!
이것 보니까 저는 저금 항복해요. 요금에 혼가 한국어 공부해서 어려워요. 하지만 아직 열심히 배우고 싶어요. So despite my mistakes and stuff I hopefully won't give up. Thanks for positing this video even though I discovered it kinda last. 감사합니다!
My two favorite teachers together😍. Loved this video. This video is not only useful for Korean Learning but also overall skills learning in life. It was very inspiring. 감사합니다 선생님 🙏
Thanks for the encouragement, Billy! Did you make this for me after our conversation the other day? 🤣 I definitely had no qualms or stress learning Spanish and found it quite easy, perhaps since it seems so similar to English. It definitely feels different emotionally on many levels this time around. Trying to be gentle with myself on learning Korean, which is hard as a perfectionist. I try to remind myself there’s no timeline, and even if I only learn one new word a day, it’s one more than I knew yesterday!
I feel jealous of Koreans learning English because they got a head start in school growing up. I’m on the 10 year plan with Korean too. I’m on year 4 and it might turn into the 15 year plan.
I, unfortunately, have had to stop learning Korean for the time being. I'm in my last semester of my degree and it's killing me. I'll go back to it once I'm done in a couple of months. What I'm more impressed with is that I've been able to teach my father some of what I know. He's not great at it but he's enjoying it.
Hyunwoo is hilarious. His learning material is already already gold as it is but his sense of humour is the cherry on top

Edit: omg... I'm a med student... so your "you can't become a doctor in Korea" totally cracked me up...
Edit 2: I'm just saving this video for life.
I could listen more to Billy and Hyunwoo talking about stuff :D
Their convos could lead to more convos. Today I was wondering...if a westerner spoke mostly Korean for a year, how would that change their facial muscle memory and strenghten the muscles/tone the tongue and mouth muscles used for vocalization? It's kind of a random question but I feel like these two would have so many different answers and maybe prolly Billy's already covered it. I'm thinking of speech as a physical exercise.
This is so good and helpful~~ This is like a breath of fresh air~
I was feeling overwhelmed by current difficult situations in my life. And I was petrified I would sound really silly to the guy I like, if I tried to speak Korean to him without being really good / fluent at it, yet.
But this video has given me so much encouragement~~ Thank you, Billy~
Some days I learn for 1 hour, the next day 2-3 hours, but other days I go almost a week not learning much at all, and then I get frustrated with myself..
But not anymore! I appreciate this so much and I'm relieved to know that I'm not the ONLY learner to experience these kinds of feelings and fluctuations in learning..
Thank you for this video. It's truly brought me such encouragement to keep on learning~~
Thank you for making this, 감사합니다~~ ⭐️⭐️ 🙌😊🌟
Thanks, guys! 🥺
“How do I go from this lie to this truth” 😂
감사합니다! ☺👍
This is so comforting 😭😭 such a healthy outlook on language learning 🙂
Beautiful. Sounds like an anxiety attack to be honest
Keep doing what makes you happy. Destress and declutter your life 💜
I find myself watching this in a nice countryside with a beautiful landscape, two little ostriches walking around and a pony at a distance.
Omggg the collab!!
I wanna learn korean patiently and wonderfully
You two are my favorite Korean teachers. Thanks for the tips and encouragement.
Thank you🤗 I was really depressed today after my korean lesson . Now I feel much better!💜
This is the most wholesome video in UA-cam right now 감사합니다
You know more than:
"안녕하세요, 잘지냈어요, 그래, 대박,만나서 반갑습니다,반가워요,하고감사합니다. 🙃You can write ✍️ sentences like a five year old native Korean now
Pat yourself on the back !!
Thankyou guyz for giving us so much courage .
Learn phrases centered around maintaining a fluent conversation
The two best teachers ☺️❤️❤️
I always appreciated Hyunwoo's humor!^^
btw I am getting back on track after more than six years for Korean, and I am happy and only could make it again by focusing positive sides of learning Korean.
I will definitely need this during the tough days of Korean learning.
i really needed to hear this! i’ve been self studying for almost 5 months now and while i’ve made some progress, it’s been slow 😅 some days i just do not have the time or energy to study or review and then i feel bad for not doing anything. i have to remind myself that it’s okay to take my time and go at my own pace. there’s no rush!
this was encouraging... some days i learn so fast, some days i just cant get past a word. 감사합니다 !!
감사합니다! I am learning for fun because I love the sound of Korean and sometimes, I feel a bit down because I can’t make a real sentence yet, so this was good to hear! Mais j’aimerais beaucoup avoir une conversation en français avec Hyunwoo!! 😊😊
둘 형들이 내 마음을 감동했어요. 감사합니다 :) Greetings from Germany :)
Marvel: 'Infinity war is the most ambitious crossover event in history'
Billy and Hyunwoo: 내 컵 들어 줘
Jokes aside, I really needed to see this video. 이 영상을 만들어서 정말 감사드립니다!
Oh thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed. 저녁 잘 보내세요!!!❤
진짜 잘했어요!
Two best teachers speaking about the really important things, what could be better?!:)
Learning it fast doesn't matter (unless you have a reason to learn Korean that fast, like a new job in Korea 🤔)
Everyone has their own pace, and I am learning how to enjoy the journey and not getting stressed about finishing it. So for anybody who thinks they are too slow, that's not true! You don't have to learn anything in X time, there's no correct time for this :D
Plus they're usually not fluent....
@@whatever1068 True
Mad tru no cap 😂🤦🏻♂️
@@whatever1068 well I never click on these videos so I wouldnt know 😂
This makes them even worse
i agree! and plus they usually know around 10-15 phrases and then are like yea i know it…
this is fantastically timed and I feel better after having watched it. i've started studying korean for about a year but it was very on and off with how busy life was so I haven't made much progress as I feel like I should've. I'm excited to have more time to get back into it. feeling more inspired to make this a lifelong journey. :) good luck, everyone!
I needed this collab and topic. Thank you Billy and Hyunwoo
"You and I would both lose our jobs" 😂
😭💀😂😂
you guys actually describe my situation , i've been studying korean for awhile and i'm not satisfied with my progress , i guess i'll keep going
the video I needed
That's such an important video that not just Korean learners should watch but all languages learners should watch!!
7:42 is so true 🥲
At first I had a lot of time to study... but now I am much more busy. So I'm looking for different ways to practice my Korean, any opportunity I find is worth it
It's much slower, but I'm still going on 👍
Also so true about the fact that we WANT to learn Korean and it's great because it's much more fun and interesting (I had to learn English at school... much more stressful than what I am now going through with Korean 😌)
정말 감사합니다 빌리과 현우 쌤들 😌 요즘은 힘든 시간 있지만 이 영상을 보기 후에 저에게 느낌이 더 좋아졌어요.
Billy says he's been studying Korean for 16 years. But in a video from 6 years ago he says it's been 10 years. WHICH IS IT BILLY?!
hahaha
like you said the video was 6 years ago so it make sense.. 6 years later would be 16 years! its basically simple math
@@Cuuhleerity that's the joke -_- lol
I moved to Korea 2 years ago and I am working on the language, I have a basic understanding of basic sentences and constantly feel like I need to get fluent fast so I can keep up with the people around me. Thank you though for your books and youtube channel, I use it weekly!
How would you describe living in South Korea?:)
@@noemi8872 it has been a great experience, I mean with cover things have been hectic and stressful, and there is some issues with anti-foreigner talk, but for the most part it has been a friendly place and beautiful.
Thank you Hyunwoo and Billy, I needed to hear this right now!
Thanks for the uplifting message! I appreciate it. ❤
what a perfect timing for me to see this.
Thank you for your words of wisdom and encouragement!!!
☺️this video made me feel better. I can form some sentences on my own, but then I forget some basic things I “should” know. I try to study every day, along with deal with every thing in daily life. It’s hard but I wanna visit in 2023(or sooner)
Thanks for this positivity 👍
I'll keep going no matter how much time it takes😊
This is. Very encouraging actually
Thank you!
These two persons are funny. Good and quick sense of humour... honest. ^^
감사합니다!
thank you
Ok, this DID make me feel a little better. The journey continues...
고마워요 선생님
This was exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you 💜
Exactly the video I needed, at the moment I needed it. Thank you!
