Anyone who actually believes Ortiz isn't Hall worth is either mad at the HOF for something or biased, the dude has the numbers, championships and clutch performances. If your mad at the Hall for their crappy rules/ voting record that's fine, they block a lot of worthy players, but don't take that out on Ortiz.
Exactly! Amazing clutch hitter! 2 Walk offs in 2004 ALCS, the grand slam in 2013 ALCS over Tory Hunter's head to tie that game, just a few, amazing stuff.
@@mahmoudatwan8189 The writers are supposed to pick, based off numbers, not because one player was nice to them, and the others weren't. Thats what it boiled down to and its hilarious. Sorry that went over your head.
If you look at Ortiz's numbers from 98 to 2002, from ages 22 to 27, in Minnesota he averaged around 270 BA and around 18 home runs. Then he goes to Boston and magically from 2003 (the year he supposedly tested positive for roids) to 2007, His batting average rose dramatically to around 300. with 40 plus home runs, averaged about 125 RBIs. Then in 2007, MLB implemented random drug testing and his numbers dipped to around 270 again and 30 home runs until 2015. Then his retirement year, knowing he probably wasn't going to get tested, hit over 300 and almost hit 40 home runs again. So, you can basically make the case, had Ortiz never roided he would have been just a 270 hitter and hit around 25 to 30 home runs a season. He probably would have been a good player but in no way a HOF player. This is just my opinion.
He didn't never supposedly tested positive for steroids. You went through the trouble of researching his numbers, but not researching what he was actually accused of.
@@randomstuff508 took me a minute to figure it out. Anyone with a brain can see when he used it and didnt. @@deesnuts1 In 2000 and 2002, Ortiz averaged 125 games and 450 at-bats in Minnesota and he hit around 270 and hit 10 and 18 home runs.
