I'm doing a trash to treasure furniture makeover on this midcentury modern dresser I thrifted off Facebook marketplace. I had to use paint stripper to get this really bad latex paint job off and then I'm using organic milk paint from the Real Milk Paint Company in a beautiful fall orange called Terra Cotta and some natural hemp oil to bring out the wood grain in the drawers.

Wow I Absolutely love love this look ...It's literally like became a Part of the wood it's Soo smooth and the hemp oil looks so easy but at same time it's Nourishing the wood and sealing and just absolutely gorgeous....I'm Amazed at how well this milk paint works and hemp oil anddd the Soy based stripper ....I gotta Try this stuff ..thank you for sharing and always explain details Christina....dresser is gorgeous ❣️🥰
That is a really classic sophisticated looking piece, who would have ever thought? Well done!
Boy howdy, you really transformed that piece! I’m really excited about the paint remover. I have a side table that was my grandmothers and I have no idea how many layers of paint are on it but I am very happy to see a safe remover. Will be ordering it soon along with some paint. Loved this video!
Beautiful! I used milk paint about 30 years ago on a little nightstand that my dad made. I still have it and the paint has really held up.
That is awesome!
This turned out amazing!! I love the way it looks- could go in so many different rooms in a house! 🤗
Thank you!! 😊
Christina, a serious question, how the heck do you stay so clean? You are wearing white!! I am always covered in the colour I am painting. I paint the piece and myself! 😂 loved the outcome, it looks lovely.
The camera must hide it well. The legs on these coveralls have paint ALL OVER them. 🤣 I was actually thinking I need to replace these it's so bad.
@@ChristinaMuscari every time I watch one of your videos I think the same thing - how does she do it?? I am covered in paint, glue, stain, etc afterwards 😩😂
All over myself and the one inch strip or spot I didn’t get covered on the floor. Lol. No matter how I put my hair up I always get some in my hair🤷🏻♀️ My childhood dresser had latex paint and my favorite thing to do was peel it and make air bubbles in it.
Amazing transformation! Thanks so much for sharing
I love your work, I love your channel ❤
Thank you so much!
It’s just stunning.
Turned out beautiful
Just Beautiful Christina
❤️ the colour 👍 I’ve never used milk paint , but maybe Now I might 👍
Thanx for the Awsome video 👍
Beautiful color combination.
Love that burnt pumpkin color.
Beautiful outcome👏👏👏
It’s Beautiful ❤
Thank you!
Wow that is gorgeous!!!!! Love love it!
Turned out great
It looks so satisfying
Yes!
Hi Christina
That is stunning!
Your work is amazing
Just started doing DIY. Love your projects
Always enjoy your videos!! ❤️
This piece came out beautiful! The only thing I think is that there’s a lot more steps with the milk paint vs the chalk paint.
love this color
Just a beautiful transformation🏆😊
Thank you! 😊
Gorgeous!!
This looks gorgeous!!
Not familiar with "setting tape with water". Maybe you could talk about that in a future video. Love the look of the hemp oil.
So excited to see this.
I hope you liked it!
I LOVE YOUR CHANEL! I love your projects and the editing, the music, the way you explain everything. Awesome job!
What's the best way to dispose of the stripper waste? Do you just throw it in the trash or is there a place you can take it?
Really pretty. I love how you explain what you’re doing so well. Does the hemp oil provide any protection from scuffs or water stains?
Lovely as always
Thank you!
As with waxes, hemp oil will need to be reapplied occasionally. That is why I use polyurethane. A customer usually doesn’t expect to have to buy a product and do maintenance.
Nice work 😮
wow
Whoever painted that furniture painted straight onto it without sanding the original finish off, no wonder the paint came off so easily!
Yep. It was a pretty bad paint job. But they tried.
I love milk paint 👍👍👍
amazing 😍
Awesome 👌, is hemp oil similar to wax meaning that it needs to be done again after sometime or really no need !
Wow!!!
This is great…going to have to give the soy stripper a try . I have never used milk paint before, once you mix up a batch how long is it good for..I’m not good at estimating how much I need
This might be my favorite flip! I love the natural wood tone with that color and such a big difference from the start. I am wondering how much of the paint stripper you ended up using? I have a hard time gauging how much to buy when stripping.
So beautiful
Never tried milk paint. Hmm. Your pieces are always beautiful ❤
It's really fun! Thank you!
Milk paint would be amazing to work with for the sole reason that it starts as a powder. My projects are few and far between, so it'd be nice to have a paint like that last much longer in storage. Or I imagine it does?
Yes, it does. And you can just mix up what you need!
Never using milk paint, I had a few questions are the brushstroke visible? And can it be sprayed. You did a beautiful job. Love the color
Beautiful piece! Not a fan of the colour but that is personal.
Thanks. It's definitely got those 70's vibes.
Your day are hrde
I am not a fan of that color but the oil is crazy awesome.
Watching from Oklahoma!
Hello there!
NIce!
Thanks!
what grit should be used to scuff laminate tops?
Can I use it on doors I have old door paint it old paint the doors were like this
Do the additives come with the paint or is this Extra?
They are extra purchases, but they last a long time.
Brasil 😉.
What's the marble for?
Mixing. Similar to what’s in a spray can that rattles.
Your day ishrd
I wish there was no music, would be so much better. Not a fan of orange and brown...
Hmmm. I think there's to much work that does into prepping the actual paint.
Just let you know, there is a guy pretending to be you messaging me and probably others trying to get personal information under the pretense of winning a giveaway.
I've banned and deleted all of their posts but I can't stop people from reaching out to them. I try to make it as clear as possible in my videos and descriptions that I won't ever contact people on Telegram or any other texting app. It's typically always in broken English too, so I hope people can figure out it's not me. Thanks for letting me know
@@ChristinaMuscari Thank you 😊
That is a beautiful color.
