Started doing carnivore/ketovore and going to a gym at the same time you started your glow up .I am down 30 lbs I am 7 lbs away from my smallest weight I have been in over 25 yrs. Danna, you continue to be an inspiration to this 82 y/o as your energy and attitude how to manage yourself and life uplifts every heart. I walk every morning 7am two miles with a friend and her dog unless very bad weather. And most afternoons I do meditative slower walks in the forest - have been doing it for over four years and feel terrific. My glow up is all about kicking lupus to the curb. No processed sugar - no processed food! At least 12k steps a day, working out 3-4 days a week (using your 12 week challenge guide), infrared sauna daily, 8 hours of sleep, and a butt load of supplements. I was very deficient in fatty acids and vitamins and minerals. I'm feeling pretty good, and the weight has started to come off from not being so fatigued and in constant pain. All of your dresses look beautiful on you. I love how encouraging you are of others. I’ve been an RN for 35 years. I feel obligated to mention that any tan is damage to your skin. You should wear an SPF 30+ broad spectrum sunscreen. I highly recommend Dr. Dray on UA-cam. She is a board certified dermatologist; I have learned a lot from watching her. She has 2 million plus subscribers. Unfortunately, it will be a few years down the road before you see the damage from the sun, including the possibility of skin cancer.
I LOVE this type of video! I basically watch all of your videos, but its been so nice just seeing your day to day, nontheater style, Danna. Plus, I just had back surgery and have been down in the dumps for months, and am ready to do some self care and this was a MAJOR motivator. I’ve definitely been in a slump. I have started adding in more movement. It’s a lot trickier with the arthritis and fibromyalgia. We have been looking into getting that red light therapy. But what helps best is a sun bath for me. Unfortunately I live on th very wet, rainy, mostly cloudy west coast. But summer is usually good. Lots of sunshine and I move much more easily. I have an infrared sauna, but it has broken down. A bit to $$$$ to replace the switch that is needed at the moment.
Being in the dark a lot of the year, I take vitamin D with K. Big help with the immune system. And a full B complex.

Glow up. The only thing i take is Vit D3. I don't believe in doing a lot of supplements, I think it's a waste of money. I wish I could do keto, but my cholesterol is on the higher side. I feel like that wouldn't serve me well. I know it works for weight loss, but idk just for me anyway, it scares me. You look so beautiful and I love your style in clothes, totally my style. Things are looking up since you got your apartment, it's just what you needed. Apartment living looks good on you!❤

I’m doing the same keto…I like to scramble my eggs with onion, garlic and serve it over Arugula with a slice of avocado. Usually bacon or Venison sausage. It’s amazing how much energy I have vs the old way I ate with pancakes or oatmeal which makes me ready for a nap 10 minutes after eating. I’m on day 21 of walking in the AM and evening. Thanks for being an inspiration to keep going!!

Put my face for like a minute 16 steel bowl with ice cubes in freezing cold water and that makes my whole day and energize me. The cast oil is also good to put in your belly button. It helps to flatten your stomach believe it or not you’re finding a lot of these old fashion remedies actually work I take collagen orally. But I also use it with some of my skin care.
Heck I used to try on clothes every 3 months ! If it didn't fit , it goes to the back. At some point larger or smaller it will fit ! That's one thing I have a that you do, not as many , but I am a clothes person !
If they are too small for me I can give them toy daughter in law !
I have just been using the heavy weights on my leg , so I just do the up and down. Unfortunately I have to be healthy as much as I can . If I wanna move around, having one leg you need to get better !

I’m training so hard right now because I’m 3 weeks away from my 1 year transformation. I’m doing 3 hours 6x a week to meet my goal which I know is insane but I love fitness! And it’s so true it’s not fun in the beginning but when it gets easier you love it and it feels good. Also, I’m sober it’s so true alcohol is poison. I’m almost down 100 lbs and I’m so close to my muscle gains and 6 pack I’m trying to get! I do high protein try to stay under 1600-1800 calories and do low low sugar and also focus on meats/carnivore. You’re so inspiring Danna! Hope you find your Prince Charming when the time is perfect.
I'm not a lady but I do take vitamin D supplements. Living as far north as I do, it's hard to get enough natural D.

I have a simple skincare routine but it works for me. I just use a moisturiser with SPF during the day and use a simple cleanser and moisturiser in the evening. I’ve never had any skin issues apart from the odd spot here and there. I’ll be 40 in a few years so I keep having a bit of a breakdown over it and then use collagen for a month or so but honestly I never see any difference!
I drink loads of water too and also don’t drink. I used to love drinking but now I hate how it makes me feel and my hangovers were so after having a baby and taking so long off! If I’m in a pub I just treat myself to a regular coke 😀
I try to take a multivitamin and iron but again, consistency is not my strong point. There’s those ones now where you can send a blood sample and it tells you exactly what vitamins you need to take. I’d love to do that one day! It’s probably £££ though 😅
Glow Up! I totally agree with you on finding things you can feel good about now! I am not a big exerciser, but I still set a step goal and celebrate mentally when I reach it. (I also laugh, when my fitness watch gives me applause for getting up from my chair, when I am taking a bathroom break... LOL. hey they all count!). My advice to others is, if you are struggling, find some goals to do that are being kind to yourself... Self care as Danna calls it. It could be making a goal to do your manicure every week (even self manicure). Anything that gives makes you happy, maybe even a new book, or more yarn for a new project. The point is to keep your outlook positive as you can.

Also I just started taking AG1. It’s really helped me feel like I have more energy but I just started it a few weeks ago. I heard a podcast about healthy living ect. They suggested Baja gold mineral sea salt to mix a teaspoon with gallon of water. We do that now. Oh also the Gu sha massage (that’s probably not how to spell it lol) for lymphatic drainage.

Boohoo, I'm so over weight do too back pain. Had a fusion and fell down a flight of stairs. But Im going to do eating like you are. I'm getting a cane so I can walk. I did a lot if walking today, but have to stop every 20 feet at a time. Getting cranky. I lost so much weight during the pandemic. But the pain ramped up and it's debilitating. I could do your workouts if I wanted to. ❤❤❤
I like a super simple skin care routine! I use e.l.f. Holy hydration and if I have a pimple I use differin gel. But ever since I made sure I was double cleansing, I haven’t had as many pimples. To cleanse, I use alba botanica acnedote face and body scrub and andalou naturals citrus kombucha cleansing gel.
I have just given myself the goal to eat a little better and walk everyday for an hour in the morning. I'm mostly home bound so I don't get out often and it's been making me feel a kinda way and your video was a really nice motivation to give it a try. I love the positive way you talk and how you have to love yourself where you are, such a small thing but it makes such a difference and I thank you for it. ❤

I was in my best shape in my 40s but then I hit perimenopause and lost a lot of my muscle. I’m now 51 about to be 52 I’ve managed to keep my weight under control but need to build muscle tone. I do use supplements but the majority are for the perimenopause. I also eat more protein based diet but I need to clean up my diet and cut sugar. I did hear coconut oil does help with keeping your hormones balanced. Congratulations again! ❤

💖So cool how I started my journey around the time you did too and have extra sense of support and inspiration! I’m very happy for you! I have a lot more to go I was vegan for a really long time and have a ton of bone and collagen and ligament and muscle loss/atrophy plus I’m 265 lbs. 💖 overall I’ve made a lot of progress on the bone and collagen and ligament front with collagen and gelatin as well as taking a D3 K2 supplement 💖 collagen only works especially if your in a bunch of deficiency or just starting out if you bump up the intake there for just using a simple collagen powder no added vitamins or herbs etc 💖 and now that I’ve kicked it up a ton of notches by being on an anti inflammatory diet I’ve made even more progress and I’m loosing weight slowly but surely 💖 One of the biggest things since going on my diet that’s also helped with my inflammation ( I was having asthma symptoms ) is using Castor Oil all over I love giving myself a nice massage with it before bed it’s super soothing and my body starts to get that sensation I get when I’m really thirsty and I’m drinking a good glass of water 😂 so i think she loves it 😂💖 I’ve noticed it improves the suppleness of my skin too as well as sun damage spots my eye brows getting thicker my breast are getting more lifted and rounded ( it also helps with hormones ) and gradually decreasing any saggyness**gelatin though especially helps with sagging and prevents sagging a ton which is a huge concern for me now that I’m also loosing weight on top of that AND using some ice on my face and neck and chest first thing in the morning has been awesome too! I then make sure to have a hearty dose of collagen straight after to help my body rebuild and not take anything down that’s already up to more important areas though 😂 which no joke happens because things like hot and cold or ice treatments or ice baths stimulate regeneration and it’s good to give your body not just protein but glycine which collagen has both in that time. 💖 I had bone loss in my brow prior as well as my jaw and cheeks the collagen alone over time rebuilt my brow bone but it wasn’t the same however after I start massaging my brows and face with Castor they completely changed the one that grew back became like the other one and now after icing they both completely changed togeather same with my nose I had less of a nostril on the right ( it’s weird but a lot of ex vegans get more deterioration on the right side which is the masculine side of the body in Chinese medicine ) I also had more degeneration** in my right knee which is also gone now and back to normal especially with the added gelatin and castor oil 💖 other things I take that help are alpha brain, b complex, magnesium, raspberry leaf tea ( good for hormones ) , phyto estrogen foods like tofu and edamame, mint tea, lions Maine, omega 3, zinc, and Coq10, I love having some dates after dinner with my tea before bed too I noticed my digestion got better and I started sleeping better when I started that or figs too 💖💖💖💖 hibiscus tea cheers to continued progress!! I had a goal of getting back in the Army in my 40s and on weekends was going to be racing in any race for a about 3 years with my Dads friend, who needed one crew member to enter sailing races. I got in the best shape of my life. Thrn my Dads friend died suddenly, my apartment flooded, and i just focused on durival mofe. I now live in an apartment half the size, I gained like 30 pounds, yeah. But this channel motivates me o grt back up. Oh, and I fell while running from a yellow jacket, slipped in my flip flops and I can't do yoga anymore 😅😅😅. My wrist just never healed.

My Ob/Gyn told me that whether you’re pregnant, trying to get pregnant, breastfeeding or just living your life w/out any of those factors, my doctor said that if u r a woman, the best multivitamin u can take is a prenatal vitamin. I had spinal surgery and so she wants me to take 500mg of calcium twice a day and a prenatal vitamin. I know going to the doctor can be expensive, but now that you’ve hit 40, it would be very good to see your Ob/Gyn and get a really good checkup & also make sure to get your yearly mammogram. I do know one thing for sure, if u don’t take care of your health, nobody else will do it for you. I have to go Tuesday & I’m dreading it.😐😕

it's old school but really works: estee lauder's advanced night repair. and you can get it in a small size. i swear by it. another one i want to try that is much friendlier price wise is the no 7 damage reversal serum. a trusted skincare junkie friend told me about it and she said it diminished her forehead fine lines like nothing else she has tried in the past decade. so it's on my list to try!! and its still $28 at target so im waiting for a sale.

I'm feeling fit and fiiiine at 42! 💪😂 Since the beginning of the year, I have been consistently strength training for 1 hour, 4 days a week. Also since then, I have been eating clean, making protein a priority & keeping myself hydrated 😊
I am now wearing sunscreen on my face and wear a hat during peak UV hours, because I'm concerned that the UV damage will lead to premature aging? I have southern European heritage and tan easily, so I haven't been using sunscreen anywhere else, but I really want to start wearing sunscreen on my hands, neck and chest to prevent that UV damage. I look youthful still (or so im told) and I'm admittedly pretty nervous about aging. I'm thinking about starting some sort of anti-aging skincare routine and starting retinol, but I have no idea where to start with that, so I keep procrastinating.. 😅
If nothing else sunblock should be used for skin cancer preventative.

I got spinal surgery (lumbar) a year-ish ago and seeing you has motiveted me to push a bit further and see if I get bo be fitter and avoid a second surgery there this upcoming fall. Any tips?
The supplements I use on a daily are omega3 and vitamin d in the mornings, after lunch I take vitex agnux castus (look into its benefits!) and most nights magnesium. I can say they've helpd me. Still a bid tired 'cause of darn long-covid but way better and trying to prevent future issues.
