    I’m a guy with a lot of gay friends, so I’ve been to my fair share of gay bars. I got offered drinks a ton, but I always make sure to say I’m straight. I feel like it’s just respectful because you know obviously the person is looking for an opportunity to get to know you. It’s a matter of setting boundaries right away. Not for you but for the other guy, they’ll still buy you one 90% of the time i just think it’s a respect thing

      Fr they're acting like they're so poor and broke they can't afford to buy their own drinks - I mean for Pete's sake they've got a boyfriend. I could at least understand if it was single girls on a night out.
      Very few of them are attractive and their morals are even less attractive. They're the type of people to make men bitter and jaded towards women. Is it hard to give basic human decency?

    What they don't understand is that the GESTURE of buying a drink includes interest in that person. It's a pickup line. 'Hey, can I buy you a drink?' is a way to get attention towards yourself. If you accept that, it's commonly understood that you are showing some kind of interest. If you say AFTERWARDS that you have a boyfriend, you just used the guy because you didn't tell him beforehand. If he offers you a drink, you can say, 'Yes, you can, but just so you know, I have a boyfriend.' If he doesn't care, it's all good; otherwise, you're just a person with questionable ethics in my opinion.

      Why do you think you're entitled to someone's time or energy bc you paid for a drink? Do you think 8$ is the price of someone's time? If you're gonna do anything for a stranger you should never expect something in return, bc they're a complete stranger and you don't know them. Do it out of kindness or don't do it at all. Ig it depends but personally I think that after a big break up it's important to focus on yourself for a little while...if you feel you have to jump back into a relationship or get involved with someone else so quick that's like saying you need someone to make you feel loved. So many women I know think they need to be with someone to feel better about themselves which leads to an even more toxic relationship than the one they had before when all you really need is yourself to make you happy. Thank you David. I always enjoy watching your videos.

    Love when you do these.
    Content like this should be used in high schools as way to teach debate but also to open the doors for young women and men to feel comfortable in their skin.
    Learning how to make an opinion for yourself in confidence is important and something I think we’ve lost as a society with the advancement of social media.
    Instead we choose to take other’s opinions and adapt them to our personality because we aren’t being taught how to express ourselves without it being confrontational.
    The most important thing anyone can do for their growth, a child, teenager and even adults, young adults and older adults, is to continue learning how to emotionally grow.
    Both our men and women need to understand we truly don’t grow until we are taught how to navigate our minds, how to make ourselves safe while learning what motivates us, all while understanding there is no one or thing who can love you more or trick you more than your own mind.
    These exercises give glimpses of how another thinks and with it, we should be learning we are all different but relatively the same and we have the power to help each other and ourselves by developing our relationship within our selves to understand this.
    There is more to life than TikTok and Instagram.
    There has never been a time in history where we as a society have the ability to learn anything we want and master it without the help of an Ivy League. This content is bigger than that I think. Lol you can have all the knowledge in the world but learning how to express yourself and your opinions without shame and with respect to others…. You level up!
    Excellent work here. Xo

    As a girl, to the drink question… absolutely not. Firstly, a man is only buying you a drink bc he is interested in you. I just can’t fathom why, if you are in a relationship why would you say yes. Don’t let someone waste money on you when you damn well know he wouldn’t if he knew you were in a relationship. Be honest and just say… thank you, I have a boyfriend. If he still wants to buy you the drink he is thinking you would be down to cheat… simple. It is also beyond disrespectful to your partner. The long as my boyfriend is secure enough is also a cop out. Just bc someone isn’t ok with someone buying you drinks doesn’t make them insecure. They all know why they are getting the feee drink so it ain’t anything about being insecure or not. As I girl do agree however, you don’t owe anyone anything if they buy you a drink, still doesn’t make it right.

      Everything you've said they've addressed in the video, so what's really the problem? They said they'd let them know they're in a relationship and wouldn't do it unless their bf is okay with it. If a guy buys someone a drink despite them saying that they're in a relationship, whatever his intentions or thoughts are are up to him at that point. If a woman has already stated she's not interested/is in a relationship then no deceit is happening, how is it wrong for her to accept a free drink? And to answer your question of why, it's bc its a FREE drink. Just bc its not something you would do doesn't make it wrong for others to do it.

      Agreed. I trust my boyfriend and I do not have an issue with him having female friends or hanging out with them without me, but I’d not like him to accept a drink from a random woman at a bar. I wouldn’t make an argument from it, but I’d not be happy and would ask for it not to happen again.
      Some of the ladies in the video did mention letting the person know they have a partner, but it’s not clear if they’d say it before accepting the drink or after. Let the person know before!

      went through a similar situation last year after 7 years of being together, it was very hard at first. I lost 15 lbs in 1-2 months because of anxiety. I thought it wasn’t going to get better and I would never feel comfortable or at peace by myself again, let alone with someone else. it’s cliche but time really does heal all wounds. I started making an effort to invest more in myself and my hobbies and go out and do things with my friends and honestly I was the happiest I’ve ever been and really at peace being alone, something I never thought I would feel. It did take 3-4 months and I would still find myself getting sad like once a week but I knew the split was for the best and there was nothing else to do but keep working on myself. hang in there it gets easier

    • @BiancaIsabella
      @BiancaIsabella 6 місяців тому

      side note- we also had just moved in together and had a year lease to get through. at times i would get very frustrated with him and how he was choosing to live his life and really wanted him out. we did luckily have pretty opposite schedules so I wasn’t forced to be around him much, he also started seeing someone else and was spending a lot of time over there. I started to look at the positives and realize that I was basically living alone but only paying half the rent, I could literally do what I want. nevertheless his behavior really turned me off and though I had really wished to get back together when we first broke up, his actions made me realize he wasn’t who I thought he was and I didn’t want to be with the person he was becoming. I communicated to him that even if he did want to get back together, not that he had shown that he did, that I wouldn’t because I was so disgusted by how he had been acting. there was a lot of drama unfortunately. I don’t want to give you false hope, but we did end up getting back together…even though I was so against it and happy being alone lol. but he started to get his shit together after realizing the terrible things he had done not only to me but to others for those months and didn’t like who he was becoming. I saw a change in his behavior not just with me but in how he was living day to day. we ended up being stuck together during a hurricane and that’s how things kind of started again. but I made it clear that I had grown so much over the months and was perfectly content being alone, so if I at any time felt disrespected or that he wasn’t putting in effort to our relationship or himself then I would walk away. we’ve been back together for a year now and I haven’t 100% stuck to my promises to myself. which is disappointing but we’re both very young (25) and still figuring out how to do life so I am trying to have more grace with myself and also him. I have set clear boundaries though and if he ever crosses them, I’m out.. for now I’m just trying to finish my degree and see where our relationship takes us. but either way I know I will be fine, and that wouldn’t have been possible had he not broken up with me and forced me to find love for myself. good luck with everything, however it ends up, just know you’ll be fine

    The answers to a random girl buying their bf a drink are so weird. People buy you a drink because they're attracted to you in some way and do want to have a conversation. If you just get a drink and then just leave, it feels like you're using them. Of course you're not obliged to talk to them but then using people for free drinks is so trashy.

      Now if it’s just a random person willing to buy a large group a drink then yeah just take it. Worst case of they get offended or what not just pay them back (even though they offered it first)

    1. Hell no, if it really was serious, I don’t think moving on that quick is a good way to cope at all. A relationship good enough to be serious, needs to be respected. Moving on in 3 weeks makes it seem like nothing happened, like it was a fling.
    2. Neutral. The morality in me is saying it’s not right to use someone for selfish reasons and just ditch them, but honestly if someone in a bar wants to buy me a drink, idk if I would actually refuse😂 But like that girl said, I would definitely let my boyfriend know about it.
    3. Kinda agree. Boys do talk about other people a lot and it’s usually to make fun of them and laugh. But girls genuinely enjoy talking about people, judging them and everything, so I feel like naturally girls gossip more. This is just the experience I have had with my guy friends so idk
    4. Nooo, preferably I would want to date guys my height or taller. I’m not usually attracted to the short ones but let’s say this guys is my dream man, he’s attractive, and I really like him, his stupid height is not going to be a dealbreaker tf😂
    5. The fact that this is even a question… YES OBVIOUSLY THE FUCK

    • @eaty0tts809
      @eaty0tts809 6 місяців тому

      @@dwayneking2186 It doesn't MATTER too much. If the person checks every box for me, then I would let the height thing slide. Generally tho, I feel weird dating a guy smaller than me, so I prefer guys my height or taller. At the end of the day, it all comes down to every person's type.

  • @VALERIAVALVERDE97
    @VALERIAVALVERDE97 7 місяців тому +3

    I disagree with the first question. Y’all were thinking oh yeah I’m ready I’m moving on. But I think how if I was in a serious relationship and my partner started dating someone 3 weeks later I’d be like wtf he was probably talking to this other person while we were still together. So I wouldn’t think it’s ok. I also don’t understand why ppl stay in relationships when they’ve checked out. It’s saves both of y’all’s time to end things quicker. And then date around how you wanted to so quick

    The girls responses to the drink question is hilarious. They don't understand guys at all.
    Here's a tip for the guys. Never approach a random girl and offer her to buy a drink. And if you want to do a nice gesture, only buy girls a drink if they've shown they are single, invested and interested in you. This is gonna save you a lot of time and money.

    1) Disagree. If the post break-up relationship serves more of a filler to cope, it is not genuine and unfair to your partner who might was looking for something serious. If it's just a hook-up relationship, I guess it's fine.
    2) Agree. Obvioulsy a drink is not just a drink in this context. The guy does this with a specific intention. As long as you communicate this to them I think it's fine though.
    3) Strongly agree, lol.
    4) If I was a woman, I would agree. It wouldn't matter to me to as long as it's above a threshold like my height, only because the outdated notion that the man needs to be taller than the woman would be ingrained into my mind.
    5) ????
    6) Neutral. It works if it's a superficial friendship, like one level above acquaintance where you always see each other in a group setting. I'm still undecided on the "real" friend level, where you would hang out 1-on-1

I personally don’t think guys and girls can just be friends. There’s always some sort of attraction, esp if they’ve been friends for a long time.
