    Thank you. I am going to begin this preseason with placing conditioning at the end of practice. It makes sense. Also in this Texas heat with practice starting at 6 our most physically straining portion will be as the sun has relented it's intensity.

      Yeah that’s for sure going to help the team be more fresh throughout the practice and absorb more of gameplan

    What kind of drills do you think will help 7-8 for endurance and speed?

    • @cabtraining
      @cabtraining  Рік тому +3

      Races, Organized Tag Games, and Basic Body weight strength exercises is what I would recommend to help athletes that young with their speed and endurance

    My coach makes run 1/2 a mile a day, Do 1 1/2 minute planks 6 different times and do like these thing that’s we get on bleachers and have to put one leg up and than lift ourselves up and jump and switch legs

      Miles, half miles or any distance running does not make you faster. Sprints of 50 yards or less will translate to football!

    Whats the best rest period between gametime conditioning exercises?

    • @cabtraining
      @cabtraining  Рік тому

      Anywhere between 20 and 40 seconds. At the beginning of the conditioning program start out with 40 seconds and progress weekly to move towards 20 seconds between “plays”

    So wait on the 4 exercises, do you do them all together or do you do them one at a time?

    • @cabtraining
      @cabtraining  23 дні тому

      One at a time. 4 pushups would be a play. 3 burpees would be a play, etc

    My new conditioning coach is insane we run 1 mile every workout at least and a lot of other stuff like that he has won state championships before so I think it’s worth it

      For kids your age, I think a good cardio base is good for you. For older guys high school and older, miles aren’t gonna get you ready for football
