Paris can be pretty stressful for short layovers. CDG passport control lines are often far from the arrival gates, so give yourself at least three hours.
Passport control out of Zurich was overwhelming, two days ago. There was passport control to get into the secured area and then passport control right before boarding near the boarding gate. The employees did say this was due to USA regulations/requirements. I wanted to stay longer at the lounge but my player 2 insisted on leaving earlier, which was appreciated because the passport control took about 10 minutes and then we had to stand in line to board.

Just came from a Japan trip. Some hotels do offer a ‘express check out option’ where they automatically check you out without having to go the front desk. I still swung by the front to confirm and say my pleasantries to the staff. But it was as they said, they didn’t me my card and sent my copy of my bill to my email.
9:30 I used to live in Japan. Everyone in Japan has to own a stamp called a hanko/判子 that has the person's name on it and have to use for legal documents. I had to make my own hanko, go to the bank, apply for an account using the hanko, and then I could open the account. What does that also mean? I can't close the account any other way except to go to the bank and use the hanko to close it. I haven't been back to Japan in almost 7 years so the pension money I've accumulated is still in my account and I can't do anything to close and withdraw that🤦♂️
Last time we stayed at the C.Baldwin which was pretty nice. I think we make hotel choices in Houston based on the proximity to the Barry's Bootcamp in River Oaks. The food is too good in Houston, have to make the extra effort to work out.
Got targeted for the 65k United Explorer card, or the 80k United Quest card. Might churn out the United card for a year since I am currently under 5/24, and it is free!
Going for the Hyatt business bonus as I didn’t qualify for the Marriott business card bonus which has the 5 free nights. @AskSebby I’m starting run out of any other card bonuses to go after. I saved Amex for the end but with the new rules I don’t qualify for the other MR cards as I got the platinum first. 😢
