That story about Tyson meeting his Mom, actually brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful moment, from beautiful people! ✌🏻&❤️!!!
You know it Buddy, what beautiful people./// See,I explain myself kind of like this Irishman, I'm going to explain myself more to others now as far as how I feel in my heart as far as having friends n family,it's a Honor to have good friends," nothing like it" it's beautiful to hear the way this Irishman appreciates his people, you're right, that is beautiful.
@@user-qc2sx9fq4f as an irish man. its a privilege that you think of us with respect. you are welcome any day anywhere in Ireland.
Michael Franzese is such a blessing for us to have!
@@chowdogchowdog2923 don’t be afraid, grow a pair 😂
@@michaelfranzese you are that... you have taught me a lot... I had a "life" too, and now, I am in redemption for it... I only want to do good in life.. thank you Michael
This is such a gem! This guy thinks he's lucky he had not one, not two, but three chances to rise up, my dear Joe, no, its not luck, a human with such a soul deserved this and much more. God bless you!
I agree 100%
Tyson's sparring partners acting like they were on their way to a funeral before training....I can see that happening. He was terrifying....
mIkes getting up there in age now, but i wonder who would beat who, if he was paired with a top greade mixed martial artist! Theres this Asion boxer who has an astounding record as a boxer. forgot his name. He was a tibetin monk! that would be a match! but he does use trips and kicks.
Mike was nuts. If his fights went longer than 1 round it was a gd miracle.
I saw Tyson fight live at the Felt Forum, before he became champ. His opponent was a huge white guy named Sammy Schaf - as best as l can spell it. As big a s his opponent was, he stood no chance. Tyson administered such a beating, that the the fight ended, mercifully, before the end of the second round due to the one-sided pummeling Tyson was administering and Sammy’s nose bleeding profusely! If Tyson had been able to retain his previous team - pre Don King, l could not see anyone defeating him, IMHO. Add Robin Givins and her mother to the mix and he couldn’t stand a chance! I’m just happy that with all of his trials and tribulations, he had the wherewithal to rise above it all, go through a type of resurrection and become a devoted family man and a successful and productive individual!
@@vincentdesiano4861 Scaff, I believe. Pummeled by counter left hooks. Nose completely destroyed: "I think that might actually be a tear!" Said the commentator. 🙂
Whoever picked the intro song deserves a raise! I get hyped every time I hear that beat

Damn this guy has some serious relationships in the boxing world.
I hadn’t heard of Joe Eagan before. I’m truly impressed by the man’s character. I wish he was my friend!
Mike is my favorite boxer of all time, and a huge inspiration to me. Hearing these personal stories about him is priceless. Thanks so much to both of you for bringing them to the world.
Thank You so much for the sit downs!! Excellent content, great inside information.
I'm watching this he's saying I can't remember 🤣
WYF IS THIS MAN ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT IRISH BOXING????

I really respect and appreciate everything Micheal does for his fans! He’s a true legend! 💯💯❤️
What a great sit down ..what a story ,what a man ,RESPECT
What a great sitdown. Joe's stories had me smiling so many times. He's truly a remarkable optimist and it's wonderful more people will know about him from this exposure. And Mr. Franzese, you did a great job of listening and letting a great storyteller have his space. Well done.
Hes a nice guy. Good heart. Very likeable person.
Brilliant micheal never expected this a fellow Irishman joes a legend 💚☘️
When mike Tyson hit you with his left hook not only do you see stars but galaxies and universes
One of the best sit downs ever! I truly respect Joe
The Irish charm won Micheal over..
There is nothing I love more than being Irish.
I live in London but 100% Irish.
🇮🇪🍀
@DGS vidz ; nothing cringe about being proud of your heritage
@DGS vidz ; what are you blabbing about
@DGS vidz ; have u hit ur head recently.
@Brian Badonde he never said anything about Asians or such not being 100 percent Irish, but if they were would they be Asian, its a figure of speech, it means he wouldn't want to be even a shred of anything but Irish, also depending on your heritage its got to do with your ethnic background. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN, Joe Biden is 5\8s Irish, no he wasn't born in Ireland, but his ancestry is mostly Irish. You are 100 percent a fool
@Brian Badonde I believe he’s referring to his ethnicity. Me? Irish traveller. Stop being intentionally obtuse
Still can't believe you're nearly 70 Michael, you're looking sharp mate! Great channel 👏👍
I remember training alongside Big Joe In Uk Birmingham what a lovely gentleman 👊🥊
The people of the former Soviet republics are pretty gosh darn tough too and many champion boxers among them. But OMG, what a great interview with Joe Egan. So many lessons to take away from it. Very valuable interview.
I had a sit down with him in Birmingham UK at the Dubliners pub. Top Man and a very nice man too.
Michael your literally an inspiration sir, the way you carry yourself, and the calm way you speak about things that are serious, or horrible, or funny, a presence of confidence and comfort in the face of any topic discussed. I’ve learned a lot from your channel, it’s given me some added context to my own challenges in my life, god bless you Michael, and keep the videos coming aha!

It's the grace of God that shines through you Michael. God Bless
Inspiration? U wanna be a murderer too then ??? Lol

This guy speaks very well for a guy who fought these heavy hitters. Thanks for this video.
When Joe talks about his father i had goosebumps
What a beautiful story about Mike and his mum, you never hear the good they only publicise the bad
Micheal you have so many Irish fans, come to the Emerald Isle! 🇮🇪 ☘️
Just asking because I never even left the US but you guys are good with Italians? Alot of people say Irish don't like them. Just wondering
I mean my country is racist as it's ever been
@@savechicago7999 I thought that as an Englishman and it was super friendly. If the Irish are going to dislike anyone - it would be us Brits.
@@salvadormarley This. Irish and Italians are more of a love/hate relationship.
@@savechicago7999 nah Irish will get on with anyone. Give Respect and you’ll get respect 🙏
Joes a great man and a good friend of my family. Huge respect, Michael.
I've never met Big Joe Egan but..he'll always be my uncle. His look on life is close to perfect.
Micheal, i came from Birmingham and remember that time when he had the trouble in the pub, everyone in the area did,i meet him in the pub once a lovely man joe was very respectful and a nice man ,he has many many friends in Birmingham,,,
Joe is from Ringsend...a real tough working class area of Dublin god bless you Joe 👍👍
Mr. Franzese, I have thoroughly enjoyed these sit downs. It's inspiring to hear how these real men have overcome setbacks. Thanks for allowing them the opportunity to share their stories and experiences.
Met joe in Liverpool absolute tank of a man and nice guy
To say Mike aTyson is special is an understatement. Brought tears to my eyes listening to that. Actually one of the best UA-cam videos I’ve ever seen!
It is the most touching thing to have a man speak of his flaws both michael and joe this video is too good for youtube 60 mins needs to do a episode on these guys amazing and i agree with ya
My English was bad before i knew Michael Franzese! Now, I am - God bless - better then before. And thanks Michael!
Two legends meet what could be better to watch than this ??
Ooooh maybe a Sammy the bull Michael franczese sit down! !? It's what we all want to see!!!
I just discovered Michael Franzese this weekend and what a BLESSING !!!! I appreciate you sharing your experiences and wisdom . It’s joy to listen to you share your life and knowledge. I loved this interview/discussion. Life is hard but does have meaning and we all need each other !!!! May God bless you and your family, Micheal !
I know joe from the early 90.s when he came over to Birmingham to help out Paddy Fin with his pub called the Dubliner. Also known as the roughest pub in Birmingham. on joe’s arrival, it got turned around with in a year. What a guy what a gentleman also very humble and compassionate human being. Love that man.
The first thing I thought of when he asked what goes through your mind knowing you are going to take a beating from your friend, was what goes through a mob guy’s mind when you are given the order to kill your best friend
Watching from joes hometown dublin💚great sitdown michael
I love mike tyson , grew up watching mike , but the way big joe is talking about mike , is the way i look at joe , real adrimation for this man , fellow dubliner
This is the first time I've commented on Michael's videos and I have to say I also enjoyed this very much. I haven't seen a guy with such heart speak this way in a long time. He even speaks in a heartfelt manner and is so caring. I wonder if his mom is still alive? She sure did a wonderful job in raising him. You can't help but feel touched at times when he tells a story. This is such a heartwarming meeting to watch.
You're best sit down yet Michael big Joe Egan 💪🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️ love from Ireland

@@garethcullen9604 the Catholic Church idolises the pope. True Christians according to the Bible should never idolise any other human being. The only true human being to ever walk the earth who deserves to be idolised is Jesus Christ. Not his mother or not the pope... Catholicism is a version of Chritianity twisted and bent into the ideals of the Romans... Hence 'Roman Catholic'...

Loved this chat. Was really great to see a Fellow Irish Man sit down. 2 legends just shooting the breeze 🇮🇪
Real recognizes real
I can't believe how good Micheal looks considering he's 70 yrs old !!
70 is nothing
No way, he looks 50, could pass for younger with abit of hair dye, must of been the food his mother was cooking, sure his father was perfectly of sound and mind at 100 years old, legend
Start taking care of yourself now
No drugs ,smoking or Alcohol at is younger years
Seventy is the new 40 from 50years ago. I'm 61 now, and my grandmother dies at 63 and was all wrinkly and aged. Where I have my aches and a touch of grey, I don't have any wrinkles or look anywhere like 61 when I was 10.
What an awesome, quality individual! Could listen to him tell stories forever. Excellent interview, thank you fellas!
An absolute TERRIFIC guy Joe Egan, two old-school Gents in Michael and Joe, loved this chat.
Can I just give a shout-out to whoever Michael got to create his intro music, it's very fitting and catchy
One of the most special sit downs ever... Thankyou for the content... The world needs more people with hearts like this...
Do a part 2 with Joe. This has been absolutely must watch I jab literally glued to this interview, even cried when he said Mike hugged his Mum and also whenime knew about Dale saving the pub.
This is truly an epic interview. Big up Joe and thank you Michael, you are truly
a really accomplished host
Yes please
Omg seriously you are 70 yrs old !!! , if I look half as good as you when im 70 I will be well happy

This man has a real genuine good guy aura. We need more like him...Mike is known as a VERY genuine good hearted individual by many a person....God bless
Of all of the interviews you’ve done this one is my favourite so far, love the story of Joe’s mom sending Mike a care package from Ireland with Tayto chips on his 18th birthday.
Really enjoying these sit-down Michael. Keep them coming
Loving these sit-downs Michael! Love the variety, cant wait for future ones
What a beautiful, genuine guy! (And so is the host!)
What a wonderful, respectful man Joe Egan is. Looks can be very deceiving, I think the ‘Big’ in his nickname reflects his heart more than anything
Wow 70 years old! God bless you Michael you sure don't look it!🙏 Thanks for the hard work and keeping good substantive content coming out!!💪
Another great interview. Congratulations on your 500.000 subs I think in a few months we will congratulating you for 1 million subscribers. I joined your crew this week. Looks like a great opportunity.
Your one hell of a guy. God bless. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Taking Lennox to a points decision is insane. Respect.
Outstanding 💯
Of all the opponent's Lennox and Tyson both fought like Ruddock and golota, Tyson knocked them into next week, Lennox put them in another dimension.
Amateur bout probably only a few round's
Absolutly amazing interview. You both had great energy together and Thank you Michael for introducing us all to Joe. What a wonderful and inspiring man.
Love listening to you guys tell us what was happening back then. It adds color to the history.
Brilliant yet again my friend. Could watch your sit downs all day. Looking forward to all your future content programs. God bless
Wow this was an absolute amazing episode Michael. Mr Egan is an amazing guy. It’s so cool to hear about him with Cuss and Iron Mike Tyson! This guy has a huge heart. Thanks for this sit down. Very inspiring
Joe Egan has such a beautiful Soul. God Bless him and his Family... AMEN 🙏🇺🇲❤️🙏.☘️
Michael, another outstanding interview! These are throwbacks (for me) to the 60's talk shows like Susskind (NYC), Kup , ( Chicago) etc. I mean this as a great compliment. Thanks.
Michael, this is the best & the most soul warming sit down I've seen, thank you and God bless you. Such a great man you recognized.
Joe gave so much insight on Mike. Loved when he spoke about Mike knocking someone out and then showing care, letting them know it’s going to be okay. Mike carried a lot of pain throughout most of his life and it’s amazing to see him be at peace today. He really looks happy!
Utterly outstanding interview, or perhaps I should say "sitdown"!. I always enjoy Michael's postings but I believe this will go down as one of the very best. I have to admit to not knowing of "Big Joe" before this video but I'll be buying his book forthwith. There were so many personal insights of Joe and his associates/friends to be gleaned, as well as many life lessons that can serve everyone well. No-one is ever too old to learn and improve in life, no matter what path their life has taken them. Michael conducts his interviews superbly, especially this one, and whilst Joe admitted to having the "gift of the gab", his humility shone through. Both Michael and Joe have had their challenges and ups and downs in life, but it is heartwarming to see their positivity and love of family shine through. Chapeau to both of you guys, inspirational.
Well said, 1Bg.
Read my comment Brother I could not agree more ..
As a Dubliner myself this is a great Sit down. Cheers Michael, God bless 🇮🇪 P. S Any chance you could do a vid about the Irish mob in New York?
We absolutely need it..but for the whole Eastern seaboard...irish mafia was also active as far as Montreal
My great×5 uncle Michael Corcoran led the first Irish militia in New York. Around the time of the civil war, and I think they made him a general. He also was one of the founding fathers of the fenian brotherhood. New York was rough as hell in the mid to late 1800s. They wanted his head when he refused to have his militia salute the visiting prince of Wales, and the fact he was a confidante of the president was the only thing that saved him. Interesting history.
@@philmuda that would be interesting.
@@TheRetroManRandySavage who wanted him to salute the "prince of Wales" in America a republic? It doesnt seem to make sense.
I've asked Michael that before in a comment. He could talk about the Westies and their involvement with the mob.
You are literally the best!! I love it when you make these kind of videos, God bless you and your family ❤️❤️
WOW. I remember all that happening in Birmingham with Joe Egan. I have to say I never thought I would hear a story about my hometown on your show Michael. It was rough back then for sure. Fair play to Joe Egan, and Thank you Michael for this sit down.

Quite a compliment coming from the "baddest man on the planet" !
