First of all be patient and smart, shop around and compare prices. If possible come back during rain or after, you need water source, electricity and ability grow your own food. Since you want to open a restaurant can you grow food for restaurant? Do your homework how long ago was earthquake, and what's the cost of building a home if front ok! If mountain ⛰ will cost more. Basically take your time, you need to know what makes you happy what are u looking for! Ask questions how long been for sell, why selling and talk to many neighbors
Concrete is the best thing to build houses with. In Jamaica houses are made with concrete blocks with steel bar reinforcement. Those houses withstand everything.
