    Omg I love this, especially the usable one! I can just see my husband "taking care of his babies" with this. I mean he already uses a witches brew container for his coffee lol

    Very cool. I would recommend using a spray primer (I prefer Krylon brand) before you begin painting - it not only provides a bit of "tooth" for the paint to adhere to, but if you do two coats of primer you won't need as many coats of paint. And then use a sealer (matte or gloss) before applying the labels to prevent the paint from chipping or peeling off if it gets wet.

      Becky Murphy I meant to mention using a sealer like Krylon and forgot to, great idea about the primer! Thanks for watching!

    On your usable prop- if you use lead line tape or a thin strip of masking tape down the side before you paint would allow you to see the water level in your mister. If that is a feature you would want to have. Just an idea. Love your videos.

    Question: does using the color shift acrylic paint prevent the shimmer from settling to the bottom of the jar as opposed to using luster dust which would give a similar effect but settle after an hour or so? Thanks, love your videos!

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  4 роки тому

      Nada Azmy no it will settle the same way, I use the metallic paints because it’s a cheap method of getting a great mica result. The paints leave the liquid tinted and then when shaken the mica reswirls into it. I hope that helps 😊

    I love all of your videos!! I can't wait to try this project. But I am having a small problem finding the labels. When I click on the link for the labels I can only find the large label you put on the front. Not the long label you put on the bottom, or the small label you put on the back. Am I missing something?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  6 років тому

      Lori Klaudt you need to click on the image and a PDF should pop up that has all of the labels. I hope that helps, thanks for watching!

    Could you do this with alcohol ink like the other sprayer you do instead of acrylic paint ?

  • @rayafletcher

    2nd again! lol! Where do you get your bottles? Also can you get plastic versions of the bottles instead of glass?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  6 років тому +1

      RayaSunshine I get my bottles mostly from Hobby Lobby and Michael’s Craft stores or Amazon (there are links in the description). But most of the time you can recycle a container too. You can use plastic if you would like, I just prefer glass. I hope that helps, thanks for watching!
