Whaaat??? I just knew Jacks would win. I grow a two year old one, and man....it does NOT disappoint! The blooms are huge and perfect and have the most striking coral pink color! My bush almost looks like it's covered in blooms. Definitely pick up Jacks if you want to grow camellias.
I need my Marie Bracie camellia whispered. I’m in zone 7a and put my large potted camellia in my greenhouse tent (unheated) over the winter. Due to the massive snowdrift blocking my door for weeks, I couldn’t water as much as needed and the plant is still alive but the leaves are ALL curled up and dry. Should I defoliate? What should I do to rehab this plant? Love this new channel!
I'm new to zone 8 and have never planted a camellia. I'm looking for one that will get in the 6-10 foot range, easy to grow and NOT RED. My husband is color blind and cannot see red flowers. I'm looking for a tough camellia with a proven track record in cream, yellow, very pale pink or bi-color pink/rose and white. I love Jacks but I need higher contrast with the green leaves. Any recommendations?

I agree on Jacks for sure! Actually bought one a couple weeks ago as I also had that one in my prior garden. It’s amazingly beautiful!!!

What do y'all think of Jury's Yellow? I have only seen it once, hence, I don't know much about it first hand.
I have to agree with you on the last one - gorgeous form & flower color/structure! Heading over to the website now.👍👍

I voted for Crimson Candles and Jax, but was overpowered.
I. Love. Jacks. Definitely going to look for one for my garden. Beautiful flower, color, and growth habit!
Where can i get jack camellia in Raleigh?
Now that I’m in an area where I can indulge on camellias, I’m going to start growing my camellia collection!!! 😅😃
Went to Savannah, GA and came to understand the beautiful flower, face to face. Gorgeous.
This has been fun and I’ve learned a lot about camellia. Thank you!
