This is exactly the tutorial I need. My heart aches to create something as beautiful. Thank you, Perry
Thanks so much, hope it helps
i will be starting an ambient shred genre just because of your intro
Steve Vaimbient
You totally blew my mind with this! I've been listening to music like this and didn't know how it was created. THANK YOU! (looks like I'll only need 40-50 pedals!)
Thanks a lot 🙏 you don't need all these pedals, you can do it with many few effects watch this: ua-cam.com/video/GLPj4u9Rlso/v-deo.html
Sunday morning, coffee, and ambient... Thanks. Just what i needed.
🙏🙏☕
beside an educational purpose, this video also very entertaining to watch.
Thank you very much 🙏🙏
Far to useful, I think we all appreciate you for breaking down the creation of ambient music. I get hardcore state fault vibes from this
Very cool! I used to do stuff like this back in the 80s with delay pedals and reverb but this is upper level! Very nice! Keep up the amazing work my brother! God bless
Thank you very much indeed 🙏🙏
Very useful and informative!
Thank you very much
Thanks a lot. I learned more with your tutorial than in 2 years of experimenting. I play the flute with FX.
Thanks 🙏 it's good to read your words.
Glad to be useful sometimes
Great tutorial from the Wizard of ambient. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and inspiration.
Thank you very much for your words 🙏
Really nice teaching here. Much appreciated. Keep it up! 💯
Thank you very much 🙏
unreal...this is really great man. Hope u can do more videos like this, it s a must, Really thank you Perry
Thank you very much indeed 🙏
This majestically sounds like the synth intro to Where the Streets Have No Name by U2! Great job Perry!
Thank you very much 🙏
Nicely done.
Thank you very much 🙏
Really good explanations and some great pedals there .
Love what you're doing
Thank you very much 🙏
That was simply perfect! Namaste!
🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for making beautiful things. Gratitude.
🙏🙏🙏
Awesome!! Please, do a tutorial just with affordable pedals like Caline, Mooer, Joyo, Saphue, Demonfx and others. It will be great!!
Thanks, will do soon
As someone else already said, that was educational and entertaining. Great ideas, beautifully demonstrated.
Thank you very much indeed 🙏🙏
Beautiful! Thank you
🙏🙏🙏
Fabulous sounds Perry!
Thanks so much 🙏🙏🍻
Gracias Perry por el tutorial genial.
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Extraordinario Perry. A seguir con este tipo de contenidos
🙏🙏🙏
Wow!!
🙏🙏🍻
Great video and Great playing
Thank you 🙏
This is an amazing demo/tutorial for how to do stuff like this. Thank you!
Thank you very much 🙏
Sounds GREAT! Thank you)
Thanks 🙏
This is a very helpful video.
The piece of music is beautiful too.
Thank you very much 🙏
Thank you!!!
Thank you. Made some re arrangements on my board that now make more sense. 🙏
Glad to be useful someway 🙏
Thank you for an insightful video. I do like the multiple looper approach. I use the Boss RC 30 and the TCE Ditto.
Thank you very much 🙏 I like both, very good sound quality
Amazing tutorial thank you. I am getting True Loss by Holy Fawn vibes by the end. ❤
🙏🙏🙏
Sounds amazing I loved it! If not using a volume pedal you should mention if you haven't that you need a guitar with a good quality volume pot. Some guitars have cheaper pots that go from off to full on at around only 2-3 then don't get much louder after that.
Yes that's clear! You need a good volume knob, and it has to be near your hand, like strato, jaguar and jazzmaster
Beautiful. Thank you.
🙏🙏🙏
@@PerryFrankyou’ve been playing the Dark Light pedal before it even existed.
This is a great channel
Thank you very much 🙏
I love it! 😍
🙏🙏
Is The big sky more suitable for this kind of drone making or does The nightsky work just as good 😁
@@alyasmusicswe Nightsky is good too
00:59 Very good..
Thank you very much for this great content. I assume the loopers are not synchronized?
Totally free, I never synchronize the loops, I like to imagine them in a sort of dance together always different
Merci! 😇😇😇! I love the loopers in the chain. I don't have all those very nice pedals but I do have the big Sky, El Capistan, and line 6 DL4 MK2, and the Neunaber Immersion... I would really like to better understand where the loopers can go and how many is needed? As always magnifique music! I used to have the ditto 4 but it is too complcated and too big for what I can do. I am thinking of buying a couple of little ones like the LEKATO Looper Pedal, Looper Pedals with SYNC & Tuner Function as they are very affordable, small, simple and have very good reviews.
Thank you very much 🙏
* Perry, is this video the prelude to your master class in ambient guitar composition?
I will hold a masterclass in ambient in May here in Sardinia.
What’s the minimum watts needed for ambient Modulation effects.
Hi Perry -- very cool video that I come back to from time to time. However, how are you using the Timeline here? I don't see you record a loop with it... I might have missed something. If you could help, that would clear up my confusion and I can get on with life :o)
Nevermind -- I found it. It's the Ice Delay and you can increase the mix to increase how loud the Ditto+ loop is... That's very cool!
If you add reverb at the end of the chain are you reverbing the reverb? Does that make it verb? 🤯😄
Another brilliant video thank you friend
More Reverb is the key of everything 🔥

Several years ago i wanted to get know how to make that del mar background sea breath noice. It looks very similar but may be you work on standalone tutorial?
Sorry can you explain better? thanks
@@PerryFrank can you please create a background sound 0:00 - 0:30 (sea waves) using your pedals for h t t p s : // www. y o u t u b e . c o m / w a t c h ? v = c A 3 g 3 j x j Q h k
So were you ever recording any of that during the video? On the computer?
Music on the pc, voice with Zoom H2n
Is it necessary to have 3 loopers? If you only have 1 looper like the Ditto x4 is this still possible? Would you still put it last in your chain.
No man, it's not necessary, I've explained my way of creating music. If you want you can use just one or two.
If your sound is better with the dittox4 as last pedal I can tell you that it's okay to put it last in the chain.
I have the ditto x4, and sometimes I still use it but it's too big and I prefer smaller pedals.
@@PerryFrank But it's also a good idea to have a reverb/delay pedal after the looper to make seamless loops
@@artemdemidov2874 thank you 🙏 as you can see in the clip I always put a reverb after the last looper, it gives ambience to the whole song
0:43 seconds : "Less is more" (pedalboard laughs silently) 😉
😱
Am I the only one who almost fell asleep from the drones after first 6 minutes? 😅
This song will lol you to sleep 😴💤
Yes you're probably the only one
@@PerryFrank a very powerful piece for relaxing 👌👏👏
So your saying you need all that equipment?? Daam how much will that all cost?
No one said that, you can make ambient music with just one pedal too. Watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/XOcF5gxSroU/v-deo.html
@@PerryFrank oh okay Thankyou for that
@@PerryFrank I have a cheap Yamaha PSS 270 and a ditto 2 pedal …. Very inexpensive and I can make loops all day long.😊 (love your soundscapes)
Before I watch the rest of this video... I feel the need to tell you the numbers of the strings. From the lowest (thickest) to the highest (thinnest) they are numbered 6 to 1. In standard tuning this would be E=6, A=5, D=4, G=3, B=2, E=1. I believe you've numbered them in reverse order. Check any guitar guide/book/lesson. I've been a music educator for 45+ years and wouldn't want you to confuse any beginners who may watch this. Now... I'm going to watch the rest of your video. Nice gear BTW
Cool, what I needed today is another person like you.
You usually comment my videos this way, always looking for mistakes or oversights, or simply silly thoughts about them.
What can I say?
Just keep on teaching on your school or wherever you do it.
Please don't do it under my videos, nevermore. I don't need it and I don't want to block your channel.
@@PerryFrank
This was meant to be a friendly reminder. Just trying to help you out a little. This is the first video of yours I've ever watched, and I've never commented on any of your videos before. Chill out man, we're all in this together.... we're all connected. I genuinely was trying to be helpful. Don't let your ego get in the way of learning something correctly. We can all learn from and help each other. Jeez... I had just subscribed to try and help out a young musician. I've reversed that. Peace.
@@UnitedEffectI've watched again the video, because it's old, I've made a lot of videos and I don't remember what was about. I don't talk about the number of strings, just mention the notes.
So, where did you hear that?
@@PerryFrank Stop playing games.
@@UnitedEffect I play ambient music not games. Maybe you must stop playing games.
"&2day Im going to Show you how to make a simple ambiant guitar sound!" ...
..sitting infront 1000. of Pedals. Lol
Pedals are just means, only ideas matter.
So I just need. $3000 worth of pedals! NO!
Oh no, another one bites the dust
@@PerryFrankyep because I don’t have that kind of money just like the rest of the people watching this. .. but beautiful sound beautiful performances really inspiring thank you.
@@AutisticCuriosity I don't think so.
First, they're all second hand used pedals, so they cost half than the new.
Second I've set this pedalboard in more than 8 years, not all at once. Everyone can do it if you love creating music.
So, please don't come here to tell me that I'm rich because I'm not. Is it clear?
