- New age spirituality offers a narcissist a perfect place to hide in plain sight. The emphasis on “positive thinking” and “good vibes” offers a narcissist shelter from being exposed for who they really are. New age spirituality teaches people that they are god which is already what the narcissist believes about themselves. It’s a match made in hell with out of control spiritual egos and a culture that discourages genuine accountability and repentance. New age spirituality is the religion of narcissism and I explain in detail in this video.

I think many of us fall prey to the “new age” because of our dislike in organized religion.
But God is not a religion

Their are many narcissists in Christianity as well. Demons love to be worshiped in church and have the ability to make the parishioners have euphoria during sessions. I agree with your opinion about the new age as I participated in that scene as well. After leaving different groups (not all new age groups) I witnessed them falling apart soon after I would leave. I helped several people leave these groups and wondering if I was an undercover agent and you may be as well. People are not in touch with their subconscious mind and is what is running your personal show/movie. Narcissists are in all groups and these narcissists are feeding off of other's energy and reflecting it back to you and why you may feel good in the beginning. Thank you for sharing!

Yes, definitely a lot of narcissists in Christianity. I keep thinking "What is so hard for Christians to get their head around, about do unto others as you would have them do unto you?", and Jesus said He will separate the sheep from the goats based on how we treated HIM in the person of others. I don't see this in churches. It's all about getting a spiritual high, or maybe getting a position of some sort of authority to lord over others and be important. When people tell me they got the Holy Spirit, I know to run. People who truly have the Holy Spirit are quiet and kind, and don't use having the Spirit as an rationale for why you have to obey them. Jesus said "If you love me, you will keep my commandments" - like do unto other as you'd have them do unto you. This doesn't seem to be part of the contemporary church scene. It's all about getting a spiritual high, and more spiritual than thou, or getting on payroll, or in a position to boss others around. Argh. I've started going back to church, but I do feel anxiety.
As a woman, I approve of this message. I noticed a lot of women aren't there to support other women. Love bombing is not support. They leave you high and dry, and there's always envy. I let go of all my friends. All my friends were female. I was thinking a long time (years) about how I don't have male friends to have a male perspective on life. I wasn't allowed to have guy friends growing up (my toxic family is another can of worms), and it really crippled my social relationship outlook. I couldn't just make guy friends on the whim in my 20s, either. It's get harder the older you grow and, the people around me don't have any intention of being friends unless there's a motive (both men and women). I got sucked into spiritual bullshit too. I'm just glad I didn't buy into everything naively. In some way, it did help me find my way to God. I've always been the type to question things from my childhood. It's the main reason why I was subjected to so much abuse and neglect.

My bestie just got baptized in April and gave his life to Jesus well I could tell he was making up excuses not to go to church and pulling away l, well he finally admitted to me yesterday that he has been reading on New Age for the past 2 months and I was like NO NO NO NO! I asked why are you still searching he said he wasn’t he was just interested so I sent him this video ASAP he came over hugged me for a long time and had tears and said thanks for sending me this video. I learned so much more in a 20 minute video than I did in 2 months about New Age and how it’s not good. I prayed so hard for him as I sent the video and before he came over. Interesting experience and viewpoint. I see parts of the world getting worse and worse, too, all the while I genuinely feel better, more at peace and more blissful week after week. I agree with your view about many people misusing new age spirituality for their own gains, and yet there are others who are truly living examples of what a human being can be in terms of manifesting the divine on earth. When I had a bad attitude because of being tired of praying to God and nothing really happening, I thought I’d be better off in the new age. Because it lies and gave me a false sense of power.

God never promised you a rose garden or the fulfillment of your prayers, especially if prayers are asking for material benefits. We are here to meet challenges with courage instead of trying to pray all challenges away.
The narc was teaching me things from the Bible that I did not know. He knew a lot about the book of Enoch. He also deceived me with the whole positive manifestation. It was until his mask fell and started to devalue me for not having a millionaire mindset and not working to reach such goals. I told him God will give me whatever I need. He became so angry! He's literally a sheep in wolfs clothing because he has no fruits of the holy spirit only pretend to have it to get whatever he wants. They really have a retrobate mind and it is sad.

I'm back listening to this again. This is the BEST most incitful video on the subject that I've ever heard. The scenerio with the positive group walking off a cliff (telling eachother "stay positive"). I have a story that happened with a LOA/positivity friend that was very similar to that!

When I read about Dolores Cannon talking about non-player characters, and how they don’t have souls, and how evil doesn’t exist, just love and fear, I knew I was in trouble. Thank you for this video.
She was trying to speak from a spiritual standpoint where in the eyes of spirit, there’s only love and fear but for us humans good and evil does exist. It’s really complex & you have to know what she’s saying but it’s really an ungrounded point of view which is why I don’t subscribe to the whole “evil doesn’t exist” schtick.

Hi, I'm from Poland, however my ex is involved in this New Age, astrology etc. and believe me: being narcissist and involved in New Age is a tragedy! I believe in God so I knew how to love him, but he thought only about himself and couldn't love other people.

Totally agree! My ex narc has “awakened” and is “ascending”!spouts on about being a chosen one… when he lies/manipulated/cheats, is the most selfish unempathic person I know! Is the worst father… and yet he thinks he’s better than us mere mortals who are not awakened!! He even thinks he’s an expert on healthy relationships and his word is right!! It’s laughable and quite fascinating how he thinks of himself and others!

As someone who was in the new age for 5-6 years i can say that i never could find the name of what i was following and i was in a constant state of euphoric confusion because of the teachings. I attracted many narcissistic friendships where i was getting constantly betrayed and attracted a narcissistic women who destroyed me. I recently turned towards Christianity and everything about new age has been revealed to me in that span of time now im 100% certain that i attracted these people and circumstances and situations due to the teachings and beliefs of the new age religion. Anyone reading this please tell anyone you know who is in new age to get out as someone who can verify that what i gained was not worth what i lost in the process at all and itll leave you feeling empty regardless leave, youll only find that wholeness and peace through jesus.
You are so right! My positive thinking of the New Age believes brought me into depression. I was ignoring "red flags" with people. I think that I have to trust that everything will be ok once I think positively. I was ignoring red flags hoping that "positive thinking only" would bring positive results. I was used by a man; hoping I met a true love "twin flame". A new age destroyed my life. I am in the depression stage now
I was a born again Christian for over 20 years and experimented with some of new age for 10 years. I am agnostic when it comes to anything that can not be proven with my own eyes and experience. It feels great to be free from both Christianity and new age spirituality.

Honestly whether or not someone is spiritual or not, everyone has a level of narcissism in today's day in age. Spiritual and Religious groups tend to have the majority of them.
Far as I am concerned I gave up on the New Age scene after I realized people and all the concepts get blown out of proportion. I do think that some of it holds some ounce of truth in terms of self improvement but most of the people who end up preaching the ideas like Twin Flames, Toxic Positivity, and Age of Aquarius tends to exploit those who are unaware and the more I became stable after a serious mental health crisis I just began to see it for what it is.
That's speaking to that set of beliefs in particular.

Narcissism is a huge Problem everywhere, as mentioned before under another Video.
And sometimes Movements overlap with each other, an example: As you mentioned: More Women get a more inflated Ego due to New Age Sprituality spouting that everybody is a God/Goddess.
Modern Feminism and Hook-Up-Culture speak of the same principle: You are Women = You are a goddess = You deserve more than the common Man or Men.
Yet, also Social Media is one of the deep Roots and a steadfast Creator and Supporter of this modern Narcissistic "Tradition". So, looking at this from a big picture perspective, all fits perfectly together, Movements, Trends or Programs all cooperate with each other and act as a Catalyst for Narcissists or growing to be Narcissits.
Its quite interesting, but yes also quite terrifying how Narcissism is blooming in these Modern Times, making the Daily Life and Social Interactions harder than it should be.
Personally, its quite sickening to see and experience. Dealing with Narcissism can teach us alot how things are running in these Modern Times and how their Minds work, although I fully understand that it can be hard and emotional and can overwhelm anybody, but exactly these Enemies and Harsh times evolve us and make us in who we are meant to be.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I was duped by the new age movement while searching for help with some self improvement. I felt like I could not fully accept it and began searching for guidance amongst Christians and realized how self-centered the new age movement is. This is not of God. I also realized I was easily lured/duped because I don’t know God’s word as well as I thought I did. As soon as I started reading my Bible again and going back to church I could see what the enemy was trying to do. Satan is truly the ultimate deceiver using some truth laced with dangerous lies. I thank Jesus for protecting and guiding me while I went through this phase.
With all the people involved in new age spirituality and if new age spirituality is what it claims to be the world should be evolving into peace rather than wars and all the other nefarious things coming in the forefront wouldn't have such control. New age spiritualism is a form of anti-christ capturing people who do not have a relationship with Yahuah the most high God. Fortunately, some people like you have come to learn its deception and share with others. When I came to this understanding I returned to Yah, quit yoga, and made other changes in my life. Yes, the most high God, creator of all things, is to be honored rather than the creation.
Maybe this explains why new agers refuse to expose darkness/psychopathy or narcissism...

As a "new age spiritualist" myself, if the belief is not for you then that's okay. For me, it happens to coincide with my own life experiences. Ultimately we are all seeking learning and truth, and I think that people can do that through different means. Where I agree with christians is that there is only one true god, and wanting to build a relationship with that through whatever means speaks to you is A okay in my book. Yes there are narcissists who are attracted to new age spirituality (I can see how the belief that you are also god can appeal to a narcissist), but from what I see there are narcissists in every faith, not to mention that that in and of itself does not disprove the faith. But my main point is that you do you - I am here to hear differing opinions to grow my own understanding.

This stuff reminds me of what I think I understand Gnosticism is--both large "G" Gnosticism (a specific religion from the times of early Christianity), and small "g" gnosticism, which is an adjective which implies esoteric (inner, revealed "only to you") knowledge as a methodology. Wow my ex was into new age big time it was one of the reasons we split BUT i always told her that all our friends don't know her outside our bedroom and they don't know how manipulative she is and narcissistic she is.
I think narcissists are in every religion. I've watched plenty of crime documentaries with so called christian pastors or people of the church who manipulated their mistresses into killing their wives, using Bible quotes. I think there are also narcissists in the community - the self-righteous narcissists who believe they are morally superior to everybody and judge their actions.
But for the rest of the things - I think it's true that new age teachings spread a lot of bs. I've been dabbling in tarot readings and plenty of times I got angry because of the c*ap that was said with so much happiness and serenity. I don't believe in the power of crystals and positive thinking, in the ascension, transitions and whatever. Also - it is a lot of blaming, I would say, because they say "you'll not be able to attract what you want because you didn't work on yourself, you don't manifest the right way etc". According to them you will not get anything good in this life because you didn't heal enough your past traumas. So, you're kinda not enough and not deserving. 🙄 That can make you depressive because you feel like you always have to push a big boulder with no result.
I agree with you that narcissists are everywhere. They’re in the church as well for sure, as you note.
And I agree so much about how those stories of “you failed bc you’re not deserving” are embedded within new age and manifestation culture. It is very cliquey in this respect: you’re either a part of the in-crowd of folks who are under the false light deception, or you’re thinking and critical and truth-oriented and thus prone to causing trouble to the demands of groupthink ideology that insists on advancing certain new age narratives. This way of subliminally gaslighting people for their hardships by making them think it is always their own fault is also lacking of empathy in a way that is classic of narcissistic abuse. Following Christ has taught me a lot about how essential mercy is to the human experience. Imagine what a cold world it would be if everyone regarded anyone going through a difficult time as someone who just needs to “work on themselves”. It’s actually a completely disgusting ideology when you sit with it long enough.
I totally agree with the points you made in this video. What I have learned after coming out of the New Age is that it is truly just rebranded satanism. All of the practices and things taught are the same things the church of Satan teaches. Satan is the most prideful and narcissistic being there is, so it makes sense that this movement is centered around self and discovering your own “divinity.” I agree with your point about women and the whole “goddess” thing too. I think this is pushed so much because it is the inverse of God’s creation. It makes sense that new age women are exalting themselves while new age men are emasculating themselves because that is exactly the opposite of what God wants. I think the new age ends up turning everyone into a narcissist unless you get out of it, although I think there are people who are aware of that and prey on impressionable people. All the friends I ever had as well as just the culture today, were narcissistic; I became that way too. Our world preaches self love and self care constantly, the new age is infiltrating the mainstream now too. It’s not as covert as it used to be. The Age of Aquarius actually comes from Alister Crowley. He was a satanist and the face behind the whole hippie revolution of the 60s, the psychedelic drug industry, and many influential rockstars’ idol like the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. He prophesied about this coming age and I think he was actually right. The Bible describes the new Heaven and the new earth that God will create when Jesus comes again in Revelation. Alister Crowley and the new age deceive people into believing that they will create it, when in reality God will. The new age is just gathering people together for the one world religion that will come in the end times, like you said just a bunch of sheep heading towards the edge of a cliff. I didn’t realize any of that stuff until I got out of it though, I didn’t even know the term new age until I was saved. It’s truly a cult. It was a narcissistic guy along with a lot of childhood trauma that sucked me into it, luckily Jesus saved me out of it though before it was too late. Some of those advisors make fortunes from people who flaunt spirituality like a fashion accessory. Anyone can pretend to have love, no ego and environmental awareness. What drives me bonkers is so many say they are enlightened. Really? REALLY? Cause if that's true, why does everyone sound the same, use the same words, reference the same things, seem to read the same books? If everyone's experience is different, its amazing how they all talk the same and have the same experiences! I can think of maybe 5 spiritual folks who actually USE THEIR OWN WORDS without referencing "not this, not this" (which is out of Adi Shankara) or "Who Am I" (which is from Ramana Maharshi). And, their own words show they actually might have something going on, whereas everyone literally spouts so much of the same thing as though if they say enough words that makes them enlightened. While others are sooo argumentative cause they have to prove how they are something special and you're just a pee-on to not get that. Or, they spout jibberish. Recently I saw folks say we are all Buddha, while another declared herself to be Mother Mary who is actually Krishna ... even though Krishna is Jesus, so Jesus is his own mother and currently walking the earth ... I guess as Buddha? Okay, prove it. Or, someone else said they can vibrate their DNA, and feel that they've brought it to a higher level. Yet, they still have to go to the doctor cause they can't feel any other part of their body. So you can't figure out what's wrong with your stomach, but you can feel your DNA changing. Okay, sure. Show me the doctor's tests of your DNA before and after.

Not only does christianity teach that people are gods, but it also teaches that they aren't. It's a mess of contradictions, which causes plenty cognitive dissonance.
It's a mistake to think that one religion or ideology is exempt from narcissism, because narcissists find ways to use anything to enable themselves, including christianity. It's firstly a human problem - not an ideology-problem.
Do you really think narcissists can't fake christian humility etc. and get supply off alternate peddling of shame, guilt and hellfire on one hand, and love, forgiveness and salvation etc. with the other, in unending cycles? Seriously, I can see so many ways that narcissism -and codependency-dynamics can play out within the framework of christianity.

I agree with you that narcissism can manifest within Christianity. In no way am I implying any religion or ideology is exempt from narcissism. Some ideologies may be more attractive to the narcissistic personality than others. However, indeed narcissism does appear in Christianity, of course. In particular due to the narcissistic tendency to keep up appearances and make sure to be at the right place at the right time in order to manage how others view them.
Christianity is a lot like how you described the new age environment. It’s full of narcissists, plenty of overt ones and a lot more of the covert ones. It just takes a while to see when you’re new to it. Take care!

Love hearing videos like this confirming truth. I was with a physically very beautiful woman last year that ended painfully because these exact views was her belief system. I believe and Jesus and she did not so that ultimately made us grow apart. Times I pray that he reveals his self to her one day
I know all about painful endings with beautiful women. There are a lot of (very beautiful) women out there who are deceived by false new age beliefs. Making matters worse is they are rebellious and haughty believing they have everything figured out. So there’s no influencing them… the best we can do is steer clear of all the problems and toxicity that inevitably arise and not be there for them to offload all blame onto as they’re not willing to be accountable for the consequences of their own false beliefs.

In the New Age Scene the highest value is positivity ( at all costs) and "love". But there is a lack of guidelines. Only a few " universal" laws when the universe is Wishfullfiller for every dream they have. These dreams are mostly "becoming rich" ( in a financial way) and happy ( according to their own conditions). And of cause they want to be happy ever after. It seems that there is no more depth to it than this. Many of them have a very worldy and financial ( business ) understanding of beeing "sucsessfull" in life. Many of them take the wish "becoming a god" very serious. There are very "high level" healers that will not accept mon- believers. Means: Someone who doubts their abilities. And New Age is a massive business that makes billions. When you compare this to Jesus Example of beeing a man of god and a healer it is ridiculous. He never boasted about his abilities and he gave all credit for that to god and to himself. And what is the goal of " ascension" ? Simply beeing Human and to follow the 10 commandments is keeping you busy all day long.... so many of the New Agers are " higher class" financially. When they " broke down and lost everything" they still manage to travel the world to find a wise guru somewhere. Thanks my friend. I could relate so much to your opinions and experiences. I dated a girl recently for a couple of weeks until I realized I wouldn’t be able to support her fantasy of being a new age healer. I don’t know how to feel about it now as I did like her but in the end I did suggest that the new age beliefs she had were so narcissistic. She couldn’t believe it and was so offended at the suggestion. 😢❤
@@mikeleza you made a wise move there getting away from her while you could… most people do not have ears that wish to hear any suggestions that run contrary to their own ideas about how great they are… this is why I embrace the path of following Christ, a humble path that teaches to identify as a sinner saved by God’s grace and not much of anything more special than that… the humility implicit in believing one’s self to be a sinner helps keep one away from a lot of suffering and hard lessons that are inherent to the more narcissistic paths.

Brother, I implore you to look in to the Eastern Orthodox Faith. It is the one Holy and Apostolic Church that Christ founded through the Apostles. Many people who have been involved in the New Age have found their way to the Orthodox Faith.

I used to be in new age and native american spirituality, but then i realized it wasnt helping my life one bit. i went back to being a christian and was baptized. first time i ever heard "the secret" i was appalled by what i heard. my husband who claimed to be a christian and had been baptized as an adult was listening to it and defending it. i couldnt figure out why he was so upset that i told him it was proven as a cult, he was supposed to be a christian after all. turns out he is a narcissist himself and he can use both the secret and christianity for his narcissism.

Have you read Christopher Laschs book “The Culture of Narcissism “ by chance? It is more of a social-political analysis of growing narcissistic trends of the time(the book is from the early late 80s /90s I believe) in the culture at large.
It seems to me that the new age movement is the perfect secular religion for this expanding narcissistic culture of consumption and self aggrandizement.

Do not throw the baby out with the bath water. I have been a born again believer for 23 yrs. Been church hurt like most people. However as a mature believer i do not believe in any denomination or the church building. It is about relationship not religion. I prayed to find guenuine believers and Jesus has put on my path like minded believers in a home fellowship like the first disciples. We are growing and serving each other in doing kingdom work
