I hate the new boomerang, The new one doesn't make sense at all. The channel mean bringing back the classic cartoons on air from the 1940s - early 2000s cartoons. I miss the groovies, cartoon shorts, collection bumper, and the cartoons. They took away my fun of watching t.v. I'm only 16 now and I feel old thinking of the old boomerang!

From the classics like The Flintstones, the Jetsons, Tom and Jerry, and countless more- to the og Teen Titans (not to be confused with ttg, which is MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT), the old ppg, dexters lab, scooby doo. Just all the shows, the collection bumpers, and the music. How is was a block network so there were never any real advertisements. It was just so great, key word being was.
They did not like paying the two pennies royalties. Found it was cheaper to let their grand-kids work out computer-generated shit on their apple instead!

But now Boomerang is basically just another channel that Cartoon Network is using to get more money! Boomerang was a great channel. In fact, I would say that every major broadcasting network / system (depends on the company) should have their own equivalent. Many of these classic cartoons were made to be timeless, so anybody at any point in history could enjoy them. Rerunning these classic cartoons preserved these shows for a new generation, and keeps their legacy alive. It would be great if every critically acclaimed Cartoon Network / Kids WB / TBS cartoon aired reruns on Boomerang to be preserved, as well as everything that Turner has acquired over the years.

I think Boomerang should definitely focus more on classic 90's/early 2000's cartoons now, but should also slot in Baby Boomer era cartoons. Maybe early in the morning they could air classic animation, then later in the day and late in the night focus on the rest.
But they already did air 90s & Early 2000s cartoons on the old channel (or more specifically ones from CN). And at least they aired them during the day and not at 12:30 at night.
Boomerang is the victim of what’s happening with a lot of brands nowadays (especially with the logo) as companies want to make their brands as safe and boring as possible.
Here's how I would fix Boomerang. 1. Remove Teen Titans Go!, The Amazing World of Gumball, and The Garfield Show from the channel. 2. Only have Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes air for half an hour instead of two and half hours. 3. Air Cartoon Network original movies and Hanna-Barbera animated movies. 4. Bring back the action block and have it air on Saturday and Sunday from 7AM to 12PM. And air some of the other action shows throughout the week. 5. Air other already ended shows on Boomerang. The shows I would like Boomerang to air are. I use to ADORE Boomerang. I literally NEVER changed the channel, or even turned it of. I know that's a waist of power but it was what I saw before going to sleep and waking up and I adored it. The new powerpuff girls and teen titans go both DISGUST me. They're not just bad they are INSULTINGLY bad! Ok the 90's shows were simple and formulaic as all hell but they were still GOOD! I miss The Perils of Penelope Pitstop, Snorks, Johnny Bravo! They made me happy and my Mother, who doesn't even like movies loved to watch them with me! I /use/ to be happy. I personally feel nostalgic over boomerang, I was born in 2003, and I grew up watching Scooby doo and other classics, when I heard that it barely even existed anymore, I was depressed, It had brought me many good memories, I remember one night, I got sick at my grandparents house so they moved me to the living room, I turned on the TV and watched boomerang late night cartoons from early 2000 and fell asleep to it. Ah the good ol' days.

It's a little better now than it has been before.... They've added back a little bit of variety.... Sure, they still flood the channel with Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and Scooby Doo but they've added back shows like Dexter's Lab, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Courage, Smurfs, and Garfield.... and instead of the PPG Reboot playing, they play the classic show now. ^^ Still, I do agree with you that Boomerang's went down the drain lately and I fear it might be too late to come back from.

James Vixen Probably because it's been taking up all of the air time since its conception, it's the reason why Pokemon is airing on Disney XD now (because CN can't fork over a measly 30 minute timeslot for a show that's not TTG and slapped Pokemon on a 6AM slot-as if any kid would get up at the asscrack of dawn on a Saturday for Pokemon- and managed to lose the rights to Pokemon all together), and it's part of the reason why one of Adventure Time's season finales got fucked over and almost no one saw nor knew about it. So much air time and promotion time is taken up for this one pathetic show, so much so that the more popular and good quality ones are getting screwed over. This is literally as dumb as wondering why people blame bullshit like "Dude What Would Happen" or "Destroy Build Destroy" on the downfall of CN, when clearly it's what started their Live Action, wannabe sitcom kick.
George Vasquez lol, TTG is more popular than Adventure Time. Don't get me wrong, I love Adventure Time and wish it didn't get screwed over, but people just hate on TTG cuz it's cool now. It's because of the vocal hate minority yelling about it and at the same time it's CN's most popular show. They're basically saying "Take that haters!" I think it was reasonable for them to rebrand, but not on such a massive scale. But the rebrand isn’t my problem, it’s the new lineup. If I had boomerang, I’d NEVER be able to sleep because I’d be waiting for the GOOD shows to air. They had to multilate my early childhood (I’m in my late childhood)
I think they need to remove any show that currently airs on CN right now. I would like to a lineup of some more recent shows (2000s or 1990s). I also think some older shows from the previous era should come back.
watch Regular Show and We Bare Bears. Those are fantastic shows!! Im a big fan of the old Boomerang/CN and hate majority of the new shows on ANY channel but these two shows are gold. Seriously check them out. We Bare Bears episodes are uploaded on UA-cam by someone. (a few seconds are cut off bc of copyright in the middle but it isnt so much that youll miss an important part)
One of the things I miss from Cartoon Network is Cartoon Network’s Cartoon Theatre. They used to show good movies mostly animated films every Saturday nights and Sunday mornings. Oh that was the best
I used to love Boomerang. Up until I started high school (2009), I was watching it almost every day when I got home. The Smurfs, The Snorks, Johnny Bravo, The Jetsons, all those awesome shows and so many others, but now you're lucky if you can catch Dexter's Lab or the original Powerpuff Girls on that channel. They polluted it with TTG and PPG2016 just like they have with CN, there's basically no difference between the channels now.
Fuck streaming, CN is dead to me. Adult Swim is CN's only use for me. Whenever i'm on CN i see a wasteland of pandering idiotic childish bullcrap. There's not even any action shows on CN, only comedies and slice of life borefests on.

If I could, I would watch boomerang everyday if it premiere, instead of cartoon network. Boomeramg has the classic cartoons that everybody liked, while CN is crappy TTG 24/7. I was born in the 2000s and I still perfer boomerang then CN, when they showed COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG, AND THE ORINGINAL TEEN TITANS. I am only 13, and some kids my age might say that they like CN more, but really they have never seen classic cartoons from the 90's. I like Steven Universe, TAWOG, Adventure time and We bare bears but they dont air has much as they do for TTG.

Then they had the older cartoons really early in the morning. I would stay up nearly all night watching them. It was one of my favorite things to do on the weekends. It's sad to see what Boomerang has become, very sad indeed...
What Happened to Boomerang, you ask? It has became stagnant and repetitive. They keep removing shows, only to re-add them back into the schedule which make no sense whatsoever and the only shows they add to the Boomerang schedule are the ones they have bumpers for and get nothing else added to the schedule that we haven't seen on the channel in years. For example, if we want to watch Rocky and Bullwinkle, you either have to stream it online or a website like KissCartoon or pop in a Bullwinkle DVD in your DVD player to watch the show. They kept playing the same Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry movies every single day which are now removed from the lineup now. They keep playing the same Classic Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes shorts every single day for 2 hours, then same two classics again for another hour each later. And, of course, the deadweight that is Teen Titans Go, 2016 Powerpuff Girls and The Amazing World of Gumball are just there on the channel for no apparent reason, too, yet, they're still airing new episodes of these three shows and playing on the main channel Cartoon Network. We have some goddamn, moron tv schedulers.

In the UK I've never seen TTG on boomerang, however the channel has still completely lost I it's original idea. Maybe for a rebrand they should've played not only classic cartoons from the 40s-90s but also shows that we're on the now forgotten Cartoon Network 2. Shows like batman: the brave and the bold and other shows that are rarely seen on air anymore.
Boomerang was literally my childhood. I used to watch all of classic boomerang up until like 2012. Then I came back in like 2016 and realized it changed. I was crushed.
You should look into what happened with the Latin American version of Boomerang, they just flat out took out all the cartoons and replaced them with soap operas. Tooncast pretty much took its place now, but it wasn't like that for a very long time.

These americans shouldn't be complaining that much, we in Brazil don't even have a decent Adult Swim. Thank God we at least have Tooncast which is amazing, the best kid/cartoons oriented channel in a long time.
I don't know when or how old I was when I first started watching Boomerang, but I remember falling in love with the channel when I first watched it. For the first time, I got to grow up with the cartoons my parents watched every Saturday morning back in their childhood. I feel bad that kids nowadays don't have a place to watch Hanna Barbara cartoons like I did. I mean, it's cool that they get to see some of the shows I grew up with when I was young (like Foster's Home and Billy & Mandy) on Boomerang, but they should be on Cartoon Network if anything (remember when the network had the Cartoon Cartoon Show or Cartoon Planet? That's where kids should be watching Cartoon Cartoons).

Boomerang was a great channel. In fact, I would say that every major broadcasting network / system (depends on the company) should have their own equivalent. Many of these classic cartoons were made to be timeless, so anybody at any point in history could enjoy them. Rerunning these classic cartoons preserved these shows for a new generation, and keeps their legacy alive. It would be great if every critically acclaimed Cartoon Network / Kids WB / TBS cartoon aired reruns on Boomerang to be preserved, as well as everything that Turner has acquired over the years.

I think Boomerang should definitely focus more on classic 90's/early 2000's cartoons now, but should also slot in Baby Boomer era cartoons. Maybe early in the morning they could air classic animation, then later in the day and late in the night focus on the rest.

Boomerang is the victim of what’s happening with a lot of brands nowadays (especially with the logo) as companies want to make their brands as safe and boring as possible.
Here's how I would fix Boomerang.
1. Remove Teen Titans Go!, The Amazing World of Gumball, and The Garfield Show from the channel.
2. Only have Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes air for half an hour instead of two and half hours.
3. Air Cartoon Network original movies and Hanna-Barbera animated movies.
4. Bring back the action block and have it air on Saturday and Sunday from 7AM to 12PM. And air some of the other action shows throughout the week.
5. Air other already ended shows on Boomerang.

I use to ADORE Boomerang. I literally NEVER changed the channel, or even turned it of. I know that's a waist of power but it was what I saw before going to sleep and waking up and I adored it. The new powerpuff girls and teen titans go both DISGUST me. They're not just bad they are INSULTINGLY bad! Ok the 90's shows were simple and formulaic as all hell but they were still GOOD! I miss The Perils of Penelope Pitstop, Snorks, Johnny Bravo! They made me happy and my Mother, who doesn't even like movies loved to watch them with me! I /use/ to be happy. UNTIL CARTOON NETWORK RUINED BOOMERANG!

I personally feel nostalgic over boomerang, I was born in 2003, and I grew up watching Scooby doo and other classics, when I heard that it barely even existed anymore, I was depressed, It had brought me many good memories, I remember one night, I got sick at my grandparents house so they moved me to the living room, I turned on the TV and watched boomerang late night cartoons from early 2000 and fell asleep to it. Ah the good ol' days.

I was born in 2006 and I used to watch shows like the original Powerpuff Girls, What's New Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Codename: Kids Next Door, and so many other shows on Boomerang. It's a shame that they took most (if not all) of these shows off the channel a few years ago.

James Vixen Probably because it's been taking up all of the air time since its conception, it's the reason why Pokemon is airing on Disney XD now (because CN can't fork over a measly 30 minute timeslot for a show that's not TTG and slapped Pokemon on a 6AM slot-as if any kid would get up at the asscrack of dawn on a Saturday for Pokemon- and managed to lose the rights to Pokemon all together), and it's part of the reason why one of Adventure Time's season finales got fucked over and almost no one saw nor knew about it. So much air time and promotion time is taken up for this one pathetic show, so much so that the more popular and good quality ones are getting screwed over. This is literally as dumb as wondering why people blame bullshit like "Dude What Would Happen" or "Destroy Build Destroy" on the downfall of CN, when clearly it's what started their Live Action, wannabe sitcom kick.

I think it was reasonable for them to rebrand, but not on such a massive scale. But the rebrand isn’t my problem, it’s the new lineup. If I had boomerang, I’d NEVER be able to sleep because I’d be waiting for the GOOD shows to air. They had to multilate my early childhood (I’m in my late childhood)

Seriously check them out. We Bare Bears episodes are uploaded on UA-cam by someone. (a few seconds are cut off bc of copyright in the middle but it isnt so much that youll miss an important part)

The Smurfs, The Snorks, Johnny Bravo, The Jetsons, all those awesome shows and so many others, but now you're lucky if you can catch Dexter's Lab or the original Powerpuff Girls on that channel. They polluted it with TTG and PPG2016 just like they have with CN, there's basically no difference between the channels now.

If I could, I would watch boomerang everyday if it premiere, instead of cartoon network. Boomeramg has the classic cartoons that everybody liked, while CN is crappy TTG 24/7. I was born in the 2000s and I still perfer boomerang then CN, when they showed COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG, AND THE ORINGINAL TEEN TITANS. I am only 13, and some kids my age might say that they like CN more, but really they have never seen classic cartoons from the 90's. I like Steven Universe, TAWOG, Adventure time and We bare bears but they dont air has much as they do for TTG.

I remember maybe a year back or so Boomerang aired Kids Next Door, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Laboratory, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends late at night on weekends. Then they had the older cartoons really early in the morning. I would stay up nearly all night watching them. It was one of my favorite things to do on the weekends. It's sad to see what Boomerang has become, very sad indeed...

What Happened to Boomerang, you ask? It has became stagnant and repetitive. They keep removing shows, only to re-add them back into the schedule which make no sense whatsoever and the only shows they add to the Boomerang schedule are the ones they have bumpers for and get nothing else added to the schedule that we haven't seen on the channel in years. For example, if we want to watch Rocky and Bullwinkle, you either have to stream it online or a website like KissCartoon or pop in a Bullwinkle DVD in your DVD player to watch the show. They kept playing the same Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry movies every single day which are now removed from the lineup now. They keep playing the same Classic Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes shorts every single day for 2 hours, then same two classics again for another hour each later. And, of course, the deadweight that is Teen Titans Go, 2016 Powerpuff Girls and The Amazing World of Gumball are just there on the channel for no apparent reason, too, yet, they're still airing new episodes of these three shows and playing on the main channel Cartoon Network. We have some goddamn, moron tv schedulers.

In the UK I've never seen TTG on boomerang, however the channel has still completely lost I it's original idea. Maybe for a rebrand they should've played not only classic cartoons from the 40s-90s but also shows that we're on the now forgotten Cartoon Network 2. Shows like batman: the brave and the bold and other shows that are rarely seen on air anymore.
This is what happens when people think that they have to update everything.
This explains why Direct TV dropped the channel from it main channel package

Boomerang was literally my childhood. I used to watch all of classic boomerang up until like 2012. Then I came back in like 2016 and realized it changed. I was crushed.

I remember watching Boomerang in the early 2000's when I wasn't even 10 years old yet. That channel was always the best. I miss Boomerang.
i mean the new boomerang bumpers are kind of good but the OG will always have a special place in my heart

You should look into what happened with the Latin American version of Boomerang, they just flat out took out all the cartoons and replaced them with soap operas. Tooncast pretty much took its place now, but it wasn't like that for a very long time.

I don't know when or how old I was when I first started watching Boomerang, but I remember falling in love with the channel when I first watched it. For the first time, I got to grow up with the cartoons my parents watched every Saturday morning back in their childhood. I feel bad that kids nowadays don't have a place to watch Hanna Barbara cartoons like I did. I mean, it's cool that they get to see some of the shows I grew up with when I was young (like Foster's Home and Billy & Mandy) on Boomerang, but they should be on Cartoon Network if anything (remember when the network had the Cartoon Cartoon Show or Cartoon Planet? That's where kids should be watching Cartoon Cartoons).

Boomerang is such a nostalgic channel. I remember when I watched SWAT Kats and even the OG Teen Titans.
