yoo, I've discovered "Art of Rally" (great game) after searching for a game that could make me feel back those feelings i had while playing on "Rally Championship 2000" when i was a kid, now with this "Old School Rally" one, i think I'll get them back easily as it is as close as the last one i mentioned. Seems great thanks for the suggestion!
@prod.yvmu1 Sure, but the rally aesthetic gives it a distinction of its own. It's like with drift phonk, where drifting is the main mood and theme behind the genre.
@ yes but no. drift phonk is a sub genre of phonk which is a subgenre/spinoff of 90s underground memphis horror core. same thing with rally house. it’s just house phonk but with rally racing associated with it
This is a very good game for what it is, but I don't think it can hold a candle to the game that tries to mimic i.e. the first Colin Mc Rae on Playstation let alone Colin Mc Rae 2, especially on track design. Definitely worth a try though.
The scenarios need work, or at least some more human hands on them. They look more modern, but very copy-pasted. Just because games were pixelated, doesn't mean devs didn't took alot of time on making them as detailed as they could, look at any sega rally and see what I mean.
@MiguelBaptista1981 Yeah for sure. I think devs stress too much about the polycounts for models. If you render them with lower resolution you can still get the psx effect without compromising too much detail.
this game was a letdown for me, handling for me isn't good at all. You slide even a touch and it practically stops your car in its tracks. If you played CMR2 or 3 remaster on PC, you can't really play this anymore...
@@SackoYTdefinitely. Been enjoying Formula TOP lately, top down F1 racer, reminds me a bit of art of rally. Really fun one. 1.0 of that is due later this year too.

Art of rally is truly a hidden gem, not too many people know about it. The game he showed also seemed very nice
the start of the video was crazy lmfao
The fact the first image is a car stuck it simply tells me this is going to be a great video
even the menus are gloriously 1999. I'm so in.
House music has a big influence on the drift scene too, never heard of rally house personally. This game looks very cool!
Rally house is such a banger
@@Garacade Absolutely, great lo-fi house vibes.
rally house is just house phonk but it’s basically its own genre atp

I recommend expand rally it runs fine on modern pc and is really cheap on sale
Rally House mentioned goated video
Menus straight from good ol' Tomb Raider.
Rallye House....I am in!! Bummbummbummmmm
Looks fun, I hope it gets a PS4 release soon
hope this come to android 😃
much like VRally 2
Bro, you never played dirt 2.0 ??
@LukeWago No but I have it in my library.
@SackoYT from dirt 3, dirt 2.0, dirt rally to dirt 4, we don't talk about dirt 5
@LukeWago I'll take your word for it.
You should try Rush Rally 3.

@marioskoutras6583 Not in its current state anyways. It needs a lot more work before it can stand on the same shoulders as those titles.

group b rally was something else

@euphoreonz There's still plenty of room for improvement since it's early access. Hopefully by the time 1.0 comes around it'll be tweaked better.

By buying such games we are going backwards in development. When I want to play old cmr I turn it on with dxvk and it runs great.
