What a gorgeous skirt! You look lovely in it. I live in Scotland so I totally approve of the cosy socks and layers. We all wear slippers inside as our house is very old and they protect against Lego. Almost everyone in the UK wears slippers, often with cosy socks too. If you get a pair of fleece lined slippers you will never have cold toes again.

I have bought several skirts like this and dresses, but I wanted to start making them for myself. I have tons of thrifty fabric from curtains but did not have a pattern etc. Hopefully I can borrow this video to help my begin. Thank you for breaking it down so simply and clearly.......x

Lol, no judgement for the socks, but if you want to feel a bit more elegant around the house, there are fleece lined pantyhose on the market that might be near as warm.

I like the skirt. I love your light attitude and happy disposition. But. I would have loved to see how the shirt actually looked on you without you lifting it up all the time. What does it look like with you just standing? That is what would sell me in making a tiered skirt.

It turned out wonderful! It doesn't look like denim because it has too much swoosh factor. You would never get that much movement from denim.
