    I have seen several labor videos and yours is the best in the depiction of effacement. Good job! And thank you from this retired childbirth educator preparing to instruct 2 very special clients, my daughter (currently pregnant) and daughter-in-law (not pregnant yet).

    Thank tou for this! As a biology major it was very interesting. As an expecting mom, I'm a bit confused - I was told true contractions can accure even if the mucos plag doesn't present itself and water sometimes won't spontaneously break. Did I understand it incorrectly?

    Is ‘transition’ not a stage anymore? Before the pushing stage when the mother can be physically shaky and emotionally irritable?

    you said there are 2 phases for stage 1 but u never talked about the second phase of stage 1

      the second stage of stage 1 of labor is the active stage, 6-10cms dilation and reaching full effacement 100%. Contraction changes were also covered in the vid :)

      Exactly, the two phases are passive 0-3 cm dilation and the second one is active phase up to 10cm

    I do not wish to be sexist here but can you please get someone with a strong voice to do it, I like probably most students watch it 1.5 times the speed and the ups and downs in the pitch and intensity of the sound just makes it very hard to understand certain words.
