You should review Zebra's pens. They have everything from just your run of the mill ball point to gel ink to fountain pens. My current favorite is the Zebra V-301FP. But my everyday carry is my Zebra F-301BP with the 0.7mm nib.

This one time in high school I was in the middle of band class, and happened to have one of these pens. I had never pulled out the ink cartridge and was curious to see what it was like. I looked at the waxy end and thought “hmm wonder if that would move at all”. I ended up taking off the black end cap and sucked it. It shot into my mouth and I was spitting a bunch of black ink up for the majority of the morning. Fantastic review Peter.
Some people get the food grade (not turpentine, but pine tar extract or something) and it removes parasites. Search for turpentine detox or something like that. But not the stuff in metal cans, something else.

I remember in middle school I found one of these in my bag with no recollection of how it got there. For the time I had it before inevitably losing it- it was the best writing experience I’ve had with a utensil to date. I never realized it was a well known legend of a pen and I wasn’t just a rare case. By college I always made sure I had one with me in different colors and never had any problems with them. I have grown and changed as a person with and through the G2- more so than a lot of other items in my possession.
ahhh I remember sucking on the end of ballpoint pen ink cartridges way back in elementary school, they taste like metal and mostly home depot. right on Peter.

I liked finer point pens when I was younger and had perfect vision. Now I need glasses, and find myself getting the bigger pens just so I can see my own writing. Also getting lined paper with wide rule instead of college rule. My days of using pink ink on pink paper are over. Now I get why college professors told me not to do that. They couldn't SEE
Try the uniball Signo 307. It’s great. You can even hit it with a wet q-tip for a nice effect. I’ll bet it writes a shorter line. Because it’s juicier. Which I prefer.
I have the Uniball Signo 207, because it's supposed to be secure for writing checks and stuff. Can't be washed off if someone steals your mail, changes the check amount, and makes it to themselves. I like to use weird colors too to discourage that. Like purple or green. I have to buy them in bulk because they run out of ink and I need another one. Love them
This is my pen of choice, and I have tried the sharpie super fine tip, RSVP, a couple other brands that just didn't last long in comparison to the G2. I unknowingly push hard into my paper and this pen still glides smooth and not one of the pens has failed on me. I buy them in bulk on Amazon. I LOVE this pen.
These pens are my favorite. But also my worst nightmare. I'm left handed so if I'm writing too fast with them it doesn't have enough time to dry on the paper before my hand smudges it everywhere. Left handed woes aside, I dig these pens a lot. 10/10 would recommend.
@@TehSlan I've tried some of the other sizes but for some reason they feel scratchy when I write. They don't feel as smooth and effortless as the .7 for some reason. I've basically just learned that I need to slow down when I write or else there'll be smudges lol
@@speedyhomo ah, I'm sorry to hear that. I don't personally find the .5 black, blue, or red scratchy, but I have a couple of .5 purples and they're trash, scratchy and always skipping, so I know the feeling you're describing and it's a terrible one.
Just a slight correction that no one cares about: these pens are actually rollerballs. Rollerball pens contain liquid ink and lay down more ink than ballpoints. I love the pilot g-2 and most rollerballs I've tried, but I've yet to find a ballpoint that I love.

Peter you really should try the *Pilot Hi-Tecpoint!* It's a rollerball pen with one of those needle point nibs. I love if for doodling and writing. There are several variations but they write the same (grip, refillable, different body design, ...)
I've found that the G2 often releases little, teensy bits of ink onto the paper as I'm writing or doodling ... not always, but enough to make me frown and think "Aww, nuts, it glooped again". It's hard to explain in words. I've found this happen with both the 0.7 and the 10mm. Not sure if line width/thickness is the reason. I don't like anything smaller than a 0.7 pen. This gloopy problem could instantly ruin an art project, I expect. I don't draw with them because of this leaking issue. If the G2 would not do this, it might be my favorite gel pen. My fave is the Papermate InkJoy gel 0.7 which is a pleasure. But honestly no gel pen makes me as happy as the Papermate Flair felt tip does when I write or doodle or draw with that super implement. That is the ultimate, but it is felt tip so it's surely not permanent. And since it's felt tip, it's not retractable, sadly. I remember that pen from childhood (back in the 1970's when pterodactyls glided overhead) and have loved it since.

Seems like their quality control isn't as good as when they first came out. I've gotten some duds that were scratchy and skippy but others smooth as silk.
I was hoping the taste test was a laugh title thing. It wasn't. While the pen components are non-toxic, I eould rather you dont try such things. I would rather you not take the risk.
your videos helped inspire me to physically write again. a couple weeks ago i picked up the ultra fine point G2 and a bullet journal and started at it. makes me feel good to finish an entry and flip through all the others. it's so satisfying to see and feel and smell progress. as for the Pilot G2 .38, i can honestly recommend it. i'm halfway through one ink cartridge already and it really flows onto pages beautifully. it does seep a little onto the page, but maybe that's just the paper i'm using idk. it hasn't skipped, which is the most important thing, and it dries quickly, so when i flip a page, it doesn't bleed on page it touches. good review, Peter, and thanks for helping me write again :)
Alton Gibbs the .38 is definitely in a class of its own; after using that exclusively for a semester, the .7 felt like a sharpie, the 1.0 a paintbrush. .5 makes me uncomfortable because I can’t tell between it and .38s and as a result am sometimes betrayed
These were the pens to go to in school. I still love these pens. I still consider them a great pen to do art with. The ink delivery is almost as satisfying as a fountain pen. Cool vid!
I find the .5 too scratchy. Wouldnt want to even try the .38 lol. The 1.0 is fun to draw with, but too fat for writing a bunch, it begins to smudge. The .7 is solid for handwritten tests and notes. Whether taking lots of notes or for quickly and frantically writing for a test. Solid.
I am an Indian but can bet that nothing can beat Japanese pen in smoothness like Zebra Sarasa Clip... US-based pen provides the greatest pen body in the world but when it comes to smoothness, nothing can beat Japanese pen... I have tried virtually every kind of pen from Dr. Grip to Pilot G7 line-up.... I am doing masters and use gel and ball pen for my exams.... Not everyone use the pen for artwork... It's speed which matters in exam for students...
I have a Smith and Wesson Murder pen it’s my favorite. The Parker refill it comes with is amazing and it’s very stout. Also I can break glass, eyeballs and many other things with it.

Word of advice, dont stab your g2 pilot pen in to a apple because it will stop working, I speak from experience

as for the Pilot G2 .38, i can honestly recommend it. i'm halfway through one ink cartridge already and it really flows onto pages beautifully. it does seep a little onto the page, but maybe that's just the paper i'm using idk. it hasn't skipped, which is the most important thing, and it dries quickly, so when i flip a page, it doesn't bleed on page it touches.

Alton Gibbs the .38 is definitely in a class of its own; after using that exclusively for a semester, the .7 felt like a sharpie, the 1.0 a paintbrush. .5 makes me uncomfortable because I can’t tell between it and .38s and as a result am sometimes betrayed
@@helicopter_traffic the .38 got me so used to writing small that when i picked up a 1.0 it felt like i was lettering a billboard xD
These were the pens to go to in school. I still love these pens. I still consider them a great pen to do art with. The ink delivery is almost as satisfying as a fountain pen. Cool vid!
I find the .5 too scratchy. Wouldnt want to even try the .38 lol.
The 1.0 is fun to draw with, but too fat for writing a bunch, it begins to smudge.
The .7 is solid for handwritten tests and notes. Whether taking lots of notes or for quickly and frantically writing for a test. Solid.

I love how weird he is, and how he wears his UGG boots like a boss. We all need to be a little more like Peter.
I am an Indian but can bet that nothing can beat Japanese pen in smoothness like Zebra Sarasa Clip... US-based pen provides the greatest pen body in the world but when it comes to smoothness, nothing can beat Japanese pen... I have tried virtually every kind of pen from Dr. Grip to Pilot G7 line-up.... I am doing masters and use gel and ball pen for my exams.... Not everyone use the pen for artwork... It's speed which matters in exam for students...
I have a Smith and Wesson Murder pen it’s my favorite. The Parker refill it comes with is amazing and it’s very stout. Also I can break glass, eyeballs and many other things with it.
