For once I will I agree (to some extent) with her statement. I've always said that people going into politics MUST have experience in policing, healthcare, social work, road sweeping, education, factory workers (and not necessarily in Management posts) etc. They should also be expected to spend time in a prison, working in fields etc as part of their induction into politics. This would give the country a more grounded government who understand real world problems...

It's unwise to base employment decisions on age because it's a poor predictor of performance and it's misleading to equate physical and mental ability with age.
