@@namingsway hope you were able to stir more to spawn for you. finding a place where patrols spawn is the key. I found bats are spawning in westgate now too, which they hadn't before.
i have been Struggling to find bats... Thank you for this mechanic explanation. i used your advice and started a new world and ran straight to the red zone in the mines of moria section where the first boss is and in that very first section where you have to break the log gate . you can go over and spam quick platforms to block the ramp up and use a little creativity to keep the platform repaired and the bats are just never ending, i got over 150 bat droppings in just a few minutes using a great sword and blocking everything til one got close then tapped it with a stun and it was the fastest bat dropping frezy ive ever been apart of so thank you for everything :) ( id like to preface i had a tier 3 weapon but the damage you need to kill a bat is just a few damage)
I just farm hordes by making noise in mines, and eventually the depths (I leave the depths boss alive for this purpose) and then immediately teleporting to my base(bringing the horde along), usually 3-4 bats end up spawning in and hanging around by the time the horde ends, and I get 1-2 black diamonds plus some bat droppings. What's great about this is that after going back to the depths (without sleeping), the danger level will remain high and summoning a new horde might just take singing with an ale or breaking a few shrooms, rinse and repeat. Lots of valuables, ingots, gems, etc. this way.
interesting technique. I didn't know you could make a horde follow you. So you wait for the trigger a horde is coming and then throw a mapstone down to travel? don't bats stop forming with hordes later game though? I've never seen a bat in later game hordes. For me, they are super rare then and almost exclusively found in the lower deeps and the mines of moria.
@@AlaskankareGaming Later in the game there's fewer weak orcs about, but I've still had occasional bats spawn. Bats only seem to be summoned by the low tier orc and goblin "yells", as you noticed, but it only happens IF the goblin doesn't have a "combat slot" available (aka he's chilling in the back, since you're already fighting the maximum number of enemies in melee already), or is unable to pathfind/reach you. IF the goblin CAN reach you, they will either melee, or if they do yell, they'll summon more goblins as reinforcements, not bats. It's probably safest to just stumble upon goblin or low level orc patrols when adventuring and just quickly place and jump onto a platform and hold block pressed, if you're only interested in bat droppings. My strategy with pulling hordes to my base was meant as a way of grinding all other stuff including gems and black diamonds primarily, with the side bonus of netting me about 4-5 bat droppings each time I did it as well. Farm 15 hordes like that and I got myself plenty of diamonds for mapstones, but also enough droppings for a decent farm. In retrospect, I think the hordes summon bats because my floor tiles are placed on almost maximum height foundations, thus the goblins can't figure out how to path to me before I engage them, so they summon them.
@@bogdanvladguta6144 you might check if there is a nest you didnt destroy nearby. I have used this technique in westgate, mines, and lower deeps in the mining style area, not the ubasam side. I have rarely had bats spawn in dwarrowdelf/desolation
I really needed this as i only had 5-6 bats after hours of playing

Thank you so much, it is the only video on YT explaining how to farm bats, i was a bit desperate, so thank you

because I tried it 2 times and spiders spawned
