A find Khmer people extremely friendly & honest. Those people you showcased in your videos were goofs. They should have done a little developing-country research before they hit the Cambodian streets. For one, when you go to the market, be prepared to barter. They come high, you come low, & you meet somewhere in the middle. When they start out with a high price they not trying to rob you. With Tuk Tuk drivers always make sure they understand where you want to go. Then agree on a price beforehand & if it's too high, barter him down. If you are not happy with the price or the driver doesn't know where you going, just politely walk away & ask another Tuk Tuk driver. There are usually 20 or more Tuk Tuk drivers on each block. Also carry the correct ride amount. The guys make about $10 a day so they never have change for large bills.
Good advice. Their hotel should be able to tell them how much the ride would cost and they should have the correct amount for them. They should do a little homework and sensible planning.

The money change booths here give really good rates, so don't be afraid to exchange your currency in Cambodia.
Hey this is us! Brilliant video. This was quite a while back we have learnt a lot since we posted this. We never posted any video do try and damage Cambodia just to share are experience for people to learn from. Really appreciate this video thank you 😊
What did we learn from the D'Bags? 1. Never let truth get in the way of a good clickbait thumbnail. ( They were never robbed) 2. Disregard any possible negative impact on another person or group without solid evidence ( this is taken from one of their comments " there are more bad people in Cambodia than good"). 3. Always complain about being ripped off, without knowing the price of the item in that country ( imported items are going to cost more than your home country). 5. They just don't get it. This is gold! Is this a new alter ego that we will get to see more of in future videos? If so I'm def putting the Notification 🔔 on! Crybaby shithead is awesome
There is only the little 'restaurant' and the ticket booth there.
might b other shops around but i didn't see any. if he was going for change the ticket booth was an option.......
Ohhhh so bad the hard working tuk tuk driver made some extra riels to feed his family 👻 #cheapcharlies
😂❤ Your videos made my day.
Wow. I bet they're fun to travel with.
😁 And I did not know that I can be stressed just skimming a travel video...
T thank you Ryan for your video thank you
Ryan, how can you stay so light? I was there for like three weeks and I turned five shades darker.
I avoid the sun at all costs.
how many currency should we have ready in Cambodia as well?
You just need either USD or Cambodia Riel. I recommend Riel though, because sometimes they can be picky about the quality of the USD notes. Plus, if you pay in USD you'll often get change in Riel. The money change booths here give really good rates, so don't be afraid to exchange your currency in Cambodia.
Tuk tuk guys always have change they just tell you they don’t have change. Nevertheless, never been scammed robbed. Rest in peace to their $3.75 😮
Hey this is us! Brilliant video. This was quite a while back we have learnt a lot since we posted this. We never posted any video do try and damage Cambodia just to share are experience for people to learn from.
Really appreciate this video thank you 😊
Thanks for being good sports about it. Traveling is is all about learning. Good luck to you both, and sorry for mispronouncing your name.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap haha no problem 😌 👍
What did we learn from the D'Bags?
1. Never let truth get in the way of a good clickbait thumbnail. ( They were never robbed)
Replying to a reaction Vlog, with Brilliant video( do they even understand Ryan totally pulls apart the "we were robbed" part. At worst you were overcharged)......
Honestly, if you had a bad time say so. But don't burn a person for $3.50 ( which he offered to return) and then pass it off as warning people.
@@BIGJED75 we’re allowed to like a video BJ. We’re a good sport. It’s a good video and funny so why would I criticise that.
It’s funny I’ve missed your comments I remember you well haha big fan 😂
@@OTWD_yt I'm sure you will get many more greatest fans from this reaction Vlog, as you come over as such fun people.
You still don't get it. You still don't get why accusing some of a crime is wrong, without all the information. Even a whole Vlog about you being wrong hasn't changed your mind.
Looking for problems in every bushes 😅😅😅
Poms. Not a fan of them.
Terrible UA-camrs!
epic video.
OMG - - - A whole lot to do about not very much !
I think cambodia should have a defamation law just to prevent these type of foreigners defame cambodia reputation
History said it all. Our country went through so much. Live our life peacefully and constraints on our new generations is more priorities. Thanks for your kind perspectives ❤
I don't know, it seems to me that this couple just wanted to complain. I don't know if you've heard the term Karen before, but that to me was a couple of Karen's if I ever saw one. They're supposedly professional travelers, they know to carry change and to watch out for thieves, that's anywhere you go east or west.
Great video, Eh.
You can connect your American credit card to grab. No cash
I can add my Canadian credit card too, but I have to be careful of the exchange rates. Bad rates with the credit card companies.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap mine is usd so no exchange rate or foriegn transaction fees. Grab is a little bit more than pass app but I love not having to carry cash or make change.
Very sad and pathetic vlog.. thanks for clarification and sharing your thoughts…
Wego is also good.
🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭💪🤝🤝🥰🥰
I watched their video before flying here, but yeah just need a little common sense lmao.
They are all about the Clickbait thumbnail and they don't care who they hurt. I hounded them about this Vlog, they didn't care about the Tuktuk driver at all. I eventually got them to admit the Tuktuk driver said he had their money and was more than happy to return the $3.50. They are the worst!
I didn't like their video as it was all about them complaining for their lack of for thought of any situation but whingers will be whingers, oh they are back packing poms hmmm says it all , yep click bait , after all it took them days to make this video !! Nedded time to get scared lol poms ...
LoL.. They would throw away a couple of dollars on tshirts.. but run around complaining about 10 cents for toothpaste. :D. Poor Budget travellers. They go on their high horse always thinking everyone is out to get them.. and at the end of the day.. when they see that they've gone over budget.. they automatically think they were robbed and scammed instead of thinking "shoot.. maybe I should do laundry and take showers".
yea i almsot got robbed in cambodia but them punks ran hahaha i held my bag and tested it for snatech strength b4 hand they coudont get it and i fillmed it all with my other hand and a drink in my other lil weak punks i didnt spill a drop and filmed it all then there scouter came to ask me questions like u okay and i know it was there scouter so i just lost it on him and if not there scouter well f it i was mad and didnt trust no one at that point cuz i had over 5k in my bag lol they almost hit the best lick of there life... i know i sound cocky but it happend and made me feel greal ganster and proud of my self
I'd love to see the footage, if you have a link to it. Or if you want to send it to me, and maybe I'll use it in a video. itchyfeetonthecheap@gmail.com
I luv ,their bleedin accents ,don't alf have a laugh ,you know. Orf to Cambodia, with the ol 'trouble and strife.
I once went to Kandal market and got my watch snatched. I never forget that.
Taken right off your wrist?
@@itchyfeetonthecheap that's right. There were two or more people working together. Their idea is to delay everything while the primary runs away with the watch.
Bastards!
@@therabbitnews9362when you're an ugly old a**hold cambodian from united states that like to show off your materialistic kinda attitudes he'll yea. Speaking on behalf of any cambodian that weren't treated nice and respected from those " yes, I'm an cambodian/American from America " not all are like that but to some are the way I just stated. Yes I am cambodian and 20 years in united.
W video
Get serious “Rob” as an informal term means to be over charged. Taxi and Tuk drivers. Don’t rag on this couple the are just sharing their experience. Everyone is a critic. If you want to criticise someone start with Israel for killing 14000 innocent children.
I think they were a bit over the top with their comments. Cambodia does has its issues though. I was walking ahead of a group in Siem Reap and some dude fell in next to me asking to see my passport pretending to be a Policeman, and then insisted we go to my Hotel to get it when I said no. As I turned to talk to my Cambodian partner and our guide he disappeared instantly. I Have been approached several times by real Police asking for money when I have walked away from my group at Temples.
Of course Cambodia has problems that Thailand hasn't. This has nothing to do with Thailand. It is about the D'bags Clickbait title, and the zero F's they showed for a persons reputation over $3.50. Money he said he would return to them, not something a robber usually does. The worst thing is they never put that fact in the Vlog.
@@BIGJED75 Thanks Big Jed, I had read that into it .Which is why I said that they were a bit over the top with their comments. I dodnt know you were a moderator for this channel.
@@wanchaicowboy it seems to work.....
