You can purchase a case of Cambodia beer for $11 around the Orussey market area. That works out to 46 cents a can. Work in an additional average of 5 free beer tabs and the price drops to about 30 cents a can. Order up to 5 cases or more, and they will deliver it to your home for free.
Moved to Siem Reap 6 weeks ago from Detroit MI. I Love it here. Took a couple day trip to Phnom Penh and everything seemed a little bit more. But I will say the restaurants that I ate at in Phnom Penh were all really good. Best pizza I've had in Cambodia ( somewhere on Bassac Lane - like 304 st. ) Loved the energy of the bigger city and Riverside was very cool at night. Itchy feet and for Riel together? Well done guys.
studies show most olive oil in stores is just canola oil laced w/ small amounts of olive oil..go w/ extra virgin unrefined coconut oil..or even better off w/ real butter..than fake olive oil
Very good information! Glad to know about Cam Happy Mart in Siem Reap. In the USA we can occasionally get Tim Tams at Target and various grocery stores. Recently Sams Club (warehouse sales) had a box of 30 individually wrapped chocolate Tim Tams. It was a one time purchase and they did not return after they sold out.
There's a lot of counterfeit medication in Cambodia the locals are aware that sometimes the cheapest medication doesn't work and therefore are willing to pay more for a branded product.
Passapp is considerably cheaper. Especially over the period of a year. Thanks for CamHappy Mart! i cannot speak for Cambodia (as i have not purchased rhem here) but in Yhailand the TimTams are much thinner and not thr same quality as in aus.
good apartments in SR for $80/- Remember with beer if you buy some brands you get free beers on rhe ring pull. Regular 50c draughts in many places. Have to buy olive oil.
Buy early at the local markets... 9:30am is considered late already. Always buy chicken breast and tiger shrimp there.... cook well, bake well... no problem with the stomach
Funny you should say that... Started shooting a video about gyms in Phnom Penh a week ago. I'm hoping to have it posted by the end of next week, but we'll see... Coming soon.
Mr. Itchy, how can you do a vid like this without price comparison on items like Dr. Scholls foot powder...? Not to mention, where are the hair products? Combs? Brushes? :D BTW, your hair looks super in this video... thanks for combing.
With all the water bottles brands in Cambodia, they all have debris after I boiled them and let they sit for a while. I only use the Fuji water bottles. Expensive thought.
Hi , I’m seriously looking to move to Cambodia, is there a group of western women living in Siem Reap ? I’m ready to move soon but hubby recons he wants to work a few more years, I’m worried I’ll be lonely. Last question can you Vape there . Thanks
i think i wanna start in kampot..low population..if it floods run for the hills.. most concern w/ phnom & siem..high population..low altitude..flood risks.. if cambodia had highland cities..it would be ideal no question..but the heat.. especially humid heat..feels like im being slow cooked..boiled..need elevation
Checking in from Kampot, nice one for plugging Espresso Cafe, Angus does have a good brew. Prices fairly similar I would say, maybe our market prices are cheaper but our supermarket options are a bit more limited. Also, if in PP check out Smash Burger, great food all around. Mango defo depends on season, when they are falling off the trees you can basically get them for free. Nice to see that prices don't actually fluctuate all that much across Cambo. You're dead on about the meat in the market though, go before 8am and cook it that day and you are fine, go after and it is really up to your stomach's constitution.
An excellent video that answers questions the others don't. I must say that is expensive for 8 oz of coffee. What happened to being able to eat at home for US$2-3 per day that most sites tout?
@@mikewilliams8511 Get outta here man.... Kampot is def cool, lots of restaurants, great beer bars, nice mountain backdrop, but the air pollution from burning rubbish is absolutely appalling. So yeah, it wins .... the never take a clean breath award Cheers buddy
How easy is it to buy supplements over there? Like vitamin C powder (ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate); Lugol's Iodine, creatine, magnesium, niacin, Borax, Methylene Blue, shilajit? Presumably quite expensive if available?
@@itchyfeetonthecheap Great, thanks a lot. I could definitely manage without all of those but it would be ideal to have access to vitamin C, magnesium and Lugol's Iodine.
White or naturally brown sugar are both about $1.25 for a kilo. But the brown sugar that most people are used to for baking - the kind with molasses - is more like $3.50/kg.
Mate , Tim Tam ate $6.50 in Australia, on special $3.50 , Australia is just as expensive as Canada 🇨🇦 we are taxed to the hilt , house gone through the roof and you are lucky if u can even afford to rent now days , believe me u don't want come to Australia unless ur Elon Musk , u need to have a lot expendable 💲💲💲
minor error in money saved on tuk tuks.. noone will care thou i guess. Except the tuk tuk driver who now will owe money instead of earn money when you get to 100km..
My two favorite Cambodian UA-cam channels ❤️
Just thinking the SAME. Thanks for the info folks
Aww you're too kind 🎉
Boom! Excellent convo between two of the best Expat Cambodia vloggers
Thanks so much ❤🎉😊
I'm young. Not planning to retire anytime soon but I follow both of your channels to follow what's going on in my parent's home country. Keep it up.
We are waiting for you ❤️🙏
OMG! Both your channels were bery influencial in my moving here a couple of years ago! Wonderful to see you all together!
2 of my favorite Cambodia channels collaborating. Niiiiiice.
What a pure gold, thanks for this video!!
This was a lot of fun! 🎉 Here's to Jumbo Vape 😊
This was such a surprise. :D
Thanks again! Every time I smell jumbo vape I'll think of you guys.
You got sprayed!

Thank you for this!
No tax on alcohol here, I picked up a 750 ml of Makers Mark at Macro for $9. Thats crazy
I witnessed this in Türkiye where I saw a family filling up giant water bottles for sale with a hose in the basement...
Great comparison 😊
My ol' hood is in PP - I'm rooting for PP. Go, PP!
Great video and info
Both area price difference are still way affordable compared to where i am from. Hygiene would be the primary concern though.
olive oil is ridiculously expensive now everywhere. I buy a big bottle at Sam's Club and it is $33 for 101 oz
studies show most olive oil in stores is just canola oil laced w/ small amounts of olive oil..go w/ extra virgin unrefined coconut oil..or even better off w/ real butter..than fake olive oil
I lived in Australia a while and Tim Tams were interchangable as legal tender.
And we travelled by Kangaroo 🦘🦘🦘😅
Appreciate all of you guy's 🙏
Tim tams in central Victoria $5 Aussie at the time of watching this. Great video and please do more
We usually only got them on the half place sales 😊 2 for $7 at Coles at the moment.....
in Phnom Penh I buy that big 20L for 5,000 Riel per gallon. High tech brand is better quality, I think this good value for the price 5,000riel. 😊

That's interesting. Are they made in Thailand? Ours are shipped from Australia.
How did Sean not get into this video? Lol. Great stuff, guys!

Remember that extra virgin olive oil comes from extra ugly olives😮
Love the collabs with Musto and For Riel. I'm still waiting for the 3 on 3 basketball team of Ivan, Tom and you though!
Olive oil is trucky to buy as RIEL olive oil .. but yeah, if you're buying the same brand ... i guess it's a fair comparison of ""olive"" oil 🕊 🕊

Draught beer here is $12 Canadian
Great 👍
your back !
I'd like to see a video on the different gyms in PP and the costs, amenities, etc. Sauna, cold plunge, etc.
Funny you should say that... Started shooting a video about gyms in Phnom Penh a week ago. I'm hoping to have it posted by the end of next week, but we'll see... Coming soon.

Only looks good compared to Jeremy's haircut.
With all the water bottles brands in Cambodia, they all have debris after I boiled them and let they sit for a while. I only use the Fuji water bottles. Expensive thought.
Coconut oil for cooking is healthier than olive oil and has a higher smoke point. Great for frying.
If you check the Olive Oil in Makro its around 13$
Thanks. I wish there was a makro closer to downtown.
I can't even watch this, it's going to hurt too much.
2'5 dollars for a muffin is damn expensive
Come back when you've tried one. They are very good! 🎉
Fries in NZ is not from $12 to $16. Beer is from $12 to $14 a glass nowadays.
So $10 for a meal with beers is bloody cheap.

Yes
Yes, but it's illegal to buy them....
Strange laws, but not enforced strongly
Maybe check out the Facebook group Reaper Babes. It's for women living in Siem Reap.
I’ve lived in Siem Reap for 2 years, and I’ve NEVER needed to worry about mosquitos.

Basic rice, meat and veg... You can probably eat for $2-3/day. So much is imported here, and that's what drives up the costs.
How much for a pack of Marlboro?
Which city is the winner?
Kampot
Siem Reap 🎉😊😂
SR is cheaper, but we're all winners.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap great answer

50 cent beer is available in some restaurants in Siem Reap. Most are $1.00
Awesome as usual. No one ever mentions taxes in cost of living. Is Cambodia now taxing foreign income?
No.
Nothing has been announced at the moment.
@ForRiel Thanks so much for responding! I'm glad I'm mistaken. I just couldn't afford to retire in a country that taxes world wide income.
I’m Mike from Kansas City, and I move to Phnom Penh in 23 days and im so freaking excited
If you're a Chiefs fan, don't come. 😂
Forget the app. Just get on a tuk-tuk in Siem Reap (they are everywhere) and riding around town it’s $1.00

I'm not sure. I'm hoping to do a pharma video, so if I figure it out I'll ask about these.

Luv that 57 cent beer YO !!
whatwas that website claire was talking about here in siem reap that delivers at home?
thx for the feedback
I pay 62 cents for a 5-gallon bottle of water from my landlord here in Siem Reap. It’s plastic wrapped and tastes great.
Question: if you have an area to plant a garden, why don't you grow your own tomatoes, onions, corn, watermelon, cantaloupe?
OMG let's go 😂
Itchy cheated… PO got the shirtless beer guy and SR got Angkor Wat… no computation… clear winner…
Shirtless beer guy looks like an Angkor statue that's come alive. The God of ice cold Cambos.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap his status should be in the beer Smithsonian…
I drink high tech water as well.... BUT... My ice cubes come from the water tap.
No Sara today eh ?
Olive Oil price - mama mia!!!
Price of sugar? White and brown
White or naturally brown sugar are both about $1.25 for a kilo. But the brown sugar that most people are used to for baking - the kind with molasses - is more like $3.50/kg.
Ngl it feels like neither party knows actual prices for this one and got them from sources that can't really be compared.
We know the prices. This shows you can get different items from different stores and save money.
It's extremely hard to compare exactly but this is a good overview of items. SR cheaper, but PP has more range ❤🎉😊
if you smoke weed -hows the prices compared -i know it might be illegal but kind of tolerated if ur careful
Get off the biftas man.... that stuff blows holes in yer brain Cheers buddy
Like CNN and 60 minutes have a baby.., great investigative reporting x 2…

It's illegal here. I'm not making a video about breaking the law.
