Maybe a stupid question (I'm from Germany): What is the idea to have the car towed if all you need to get is back is to validate you're the owner by the DMV? Doesn't make too much sense to me, since the charges will be brought only after you're contacting the court, right?
It’s two fold, one is the lesson and headache of dealing with it and secondly, towing company’s need rotation revenue in BFE when they don’t have a lot of snow and accidents to clean up.
Just to elaborate: This can happen in Germany really quick. For sometimes a very stupid reason. In general: If your car does not fit the German regulations (or the police just have a valid concern about that), it can be towed and will be inspected. If it fails the inspection, the car will lose it's registration. After that you need to go through a painful process. Get the car (parts) fixed and perform an inspection again. Plus some charges will be pressed agains you, including a possible revocation of your driving license. I'm just curious since this here looks like "no worries, you can get your car back after you visited the DMV...." The good thing: If your car is perfectly fine, you can pass a police car with 200 mph on the Autobahn, as long there is no speed limit and you are not driving recklessly :)
Makes you stop driving for atleast 24 hours most super speeder tickets are written bc of road rage problems so it get people who aren’t in a good head space off the road for a short period of time also they have to pay anywhere from 1000 to 1500 between the tow cost and impound fees not including the ticket
Same here, makes no sense to impound the car, it’s just a speeding ticket n some were caught doing much more than 120 n cars not towed n impounded. It’s a Utah thing just like the tinting.

@@500hpPlusGarage You don't say anything. You admit to speeding, but that's it. Remain respectful. They don't impound your car in Utah for speeding, but they do for exhibition of speed. Telling the cop he was showboating could have directly resulted in his car being impounded. I'd love to see a perspective of where the officer was when Stefan did the pull. If he was on the side of the freeway and just clocked Stefan, he would have no probable reason to charge for exhibition of speed. If he was just on the other side of the car when Stefan took off, that's another story.
I mean he was clocked at 120 or whatever it was so he would have prob got towed regardless of his explanation unless he had a wife with him in labor or something like that.
I was pulled over doing 106 in a 45 on a service road. This was 20 years ago in my Trans Am WS6. "Loved the cop for being so polite and respectful." Was this how you felt before or after him writing a reckless speeding ticket, exhibition of speed, and towing his car? Just because someone speaks without swearing while doing as much damage to you as they could (since he cant afford a car like this) doesnt mean he's "nice." Nice would be writing a speeding ticket and going about his day, not taking your car and writing a felony speeding ticket.
you handled this well. i wouldve had a breakdown. imo a reduced ticket without an impound wouldve been sufficent. theres more important things LEOs should be concerned with right now. no one was hurt. 120 in that caris just coasting and im sure it can handle and brake well at those speeds.
Agreed. Towing a vehicle that wasn't even involved in an accident doesn't seem fair to me. Yeah, you're going way over the speed limit, but believe it or not, it's possible to go very high speeds and still be a responsible driver.
The police officer surprised me in that he was so polite and didn't take anything personally, it's rare to see that. Most cops usually go right to the ego and attitude.
Excuse me sir I'd just like to thank you for being so nice. Also for the tickets and towing my car thanks your so cool...don't forget to cup the balls!
I got my 440 powered hoodless 71 charger towed in 1988 for the stupid tags being over a year out of date back when you still had to smog check a 71 in California. went to get it back after the weekend and a whole bunch of stuff missing from the engine bay namely all my mallory ignition components and a 850cfm double pumper holly carb.I had to go home and get all the stock crap to drive it home and the tow company was clueless to how it all disappeared.
I was pulled over in my C6Zr1 in late 2015 for a highway pull on I10 in Houston. He wrote me at 93 and I was on my way. No tow no jail, etc and he wrote my citation lower than my clocked speed. I went to court and got it dismissed btw 👍. 3 years later I was next to a 392 in my heads cam manual G8 Gxp and when the light turned green we did a pull form zero to 70 o a 45. I didn’t see the cop in the Walmart parking lot who came behind me after I slowed down to speed limit. I ended up getting arrested for racing on a street, and car got towed ( 1 block from my house). It sucked beyond belief. Every cop is different.
Cop was a huge prick. Didn't have to tow the car when he could have just given him a normal ticket or even reckless driving. Dude wasn't nice, he was professional at best.
Duuuuude! Sorry man! Total bummer! You got this, keep the chin up and keep doing your thing! James totally should have pulled up while the cops were there!

Damn it man!! Can’t be mad, he’s doing his job. Maybe he didn’t have to impound but 20 over is good he didn’t take you to jail. But good on you keeping your cool too.
I know exactly how it feels when your car gets impounded. And sorry about that my friend. I used to get cars impounded here in cali for not having a drivers license. But mine used to be on the towing place for the full 30 days so imagine the cost and not having a car for a full month!
Can someone please explain to me the point of towing the car is if you can just pick it up the next day? Seems like its making the tow company accept a ton of a liability for potentially a 12 hour impound if this didn't happen on a Saturday.
@@koolaidman4461 mostly for attorney fees in trying to keep that off his record. If it were me, I would certainly- absolutely be trying to keep the worst of that ticket off my record. When you start talking about citations written in excess of 100 mph, reckless driving….those types of tickets carry big long-term consequences, insurance rates the points on your license, it goes on and on. I would strongly urge anybody that got a really bad ticket like that to go to court with a lawyer and try to keep as much of it off your record as possible, that’s why I said what I said about the officer writing it over 100 miles an hour, when tickets are written greater than 15 over the posted speed limit, or the phrase reckless driving is included, THOSE carry some serious weight brother

It took me a second to realize James unwrapped the Veyron.
It factory paint look insane
Ayo wtf you're right. Spoiler for next vid lol
@@CrappycrapCrappy lol
I am so happy you got towed. Good luck in court.
I’d give you all my support no matter what Stefan!
First time I’ve heard someone say thank you to the cop that impounded their car LOL
Everything will be fine Bro... Hope for the best.. ❤️
What! Someone who takes responsibility for their own actions, how refreshing.
I feel like admitting to showing off was not a good move for that exhibition of speed charge
Is there a different angle to explain that speed?😂🤣🤣🤣
@@500hpPlusGarage You don't say anything. You admit to speeding, but that's it. Remain respectful. They don't impound your car in Utah for speeding, but they do for exhibition of speed. Telling the cop he was showboating could have directly resulted in his car being impounded.
I'd love to see a perspective of where the officer was when Stefan did the pull. If he was on the side of the freeway and just clocked Stefan, he would have no probable reason to charge for exhibition of speed. If he was just on the other side of the car when Stefan took off, that's another story.
Also if you’re going 120+ why would you stop😐 especially if you’re in a vette I would’ve been home before the cop even reached the next exit
I mean he was clocked at 120 or whatever it was so he would have prob got towed regardless of his explanation unless he had a wife with him in labor or something like that.
James: “That’ll do it.” 😂 spoken just like Tobeys Spiderman
I was pulled over doing 106 in a 45 on a service road. This was 20 years ago in my Trans Am WS6. Upon reflection, I thought to myself, things could have gone badly if somebody pulled out onto the service road a just as I was going 1xx mph. Had to lawyer up for that one. Even since then, I've only been over a 100 on the Xbox and at the track. Your wallet will be a little lighter, wife will be mad. But things will be fine in the end.
When u see lights when ur going over 100 that means go
@@bodipyles Uh not these days.
@@Blazerghost uh yea
@@Blazerghost if they not close enough for me to know i need to pull over I’m gone peace ✌️
@@bodipyles Have fun in jail.
Well actually with that attitude I can tell you own nothing fast enough to run in anyway 🤣
People with the brains to accumulate enough money to afford a car this nice aren't stupid enough to run when they can afford the consequences.
That's poor people attitude.
When the officer said take anything out of the car you need, you should of hopped out and started taking the motor and trans out, i would love to see his face. 😂 😂 😂
Stefan....in a time when cops are hated for absolutely no reason .........thank you for being respectful and not being a complete asshole and owning your mistake.....you are a REAL one...........much respect!!
I wouldn’t say no reason. Most cops don’t act based on constitution are moral right or wrong. They just enforce terrible laws made by tyrant bureaucrats.
@@ProteinFeen yes....law enforcement enforce the law...I know it's a difficult concept....
if you don't like the laws....change them....don't hate police because you don't like the laws
I wouldn’t say for no reason lol cops still kill innocent people. Stop generalizing
I dont know if you remember me from FNP Tuned but I was looking up corvette videos and this popped up and i realized we worked together with Alex and Luke at Fnp in 2016. I hate to see the Vette get impounded but glad to see you're doing good!
James funny as hell man 😂
Stradman just causally pulling up in the Bugatti. Love to see it 😂
Impounded for speeding wow that's completely insane I've been pulled over for way more
At least the cop was "nice" about it. What a joke. Tows his car for 120 and the driver was cooperating perfectly.
I just want to say thanks for towing my car officer….. thanks for being nice
Your attitude in this stop earned you a new subscriber. Responsibility for actions seems to be a rarity on some of the channels these days.
I've gone 204 mph on rt64 in Indiana and passed State Troopers at over 190 mph in Kentucky. JUST DON'T STOP!
I can’t stand people who simp for police officers because they are “nice”.
I love how he keeps saying the cop is being nice as he's literally having his car towed
"Loved the cop for being so polite and respectful."
Was this how you felt before or after him writing a reckless speeding ticket, exhibition of speed, and towing his car? Just because someone speaks without swearing while doing as much damage to you as they could (since he cant afford a car like this) doesnt mean he's "nice." Nice would be writing a speeding ticket and going about his day, not taking your car and writing a felony speeding ticket.
Very professional cop ... kudos to the officer ..
Bugatti is unwrapped finally
Stefan I am a new follower the way you handle that was professional on your part. I respect you for that
you handled this well. i wouldve had a breakdown. imo a reduced ticket without an impound wouldve been sufficent. theres more important things LEOs should be concerned with right now. no one was hurt.
@@DonDeLem that’s why you don’t stop if you’re out doin pulls lmao
Going 120mph is putting others at risk around him. If you see no problem with that.. well you’re a dunbass
@@ItsCarrr - Going 120mph is putting others at risk if you're a bad driver*
Yea those are some serious charges for no harm, no foul
The police officer surprised me in that he was so polite and didn't take anything personally, it's rare to see that. Most cops usually go right to the ego and attitude.
Luke was right, you are gonna get in so much trouble in this car! 😂
"did you shoot flames in his face? Probably flames." 😂
Excuse me sir I'd just like to thank you for being so nice. Also for the tickets and towing my car thanks your so cool...don't forget to cup the balls!
The “Homie” count is about to hit triple digits
I’m amazed you all don’t get busted more often, especially Strad!
Every cop is for sure different.
Speeding belongs at the race track/drag strip.
Well that explains where the gas cap went 😅 thought we lost it!
I pulled it off to paint match the bumper haha
Cop was a huge prick. Didn't have to tow the car when he could have just given him a normal ticket or even reckless driving. Dude wasn't nice, he was professional at best.
Duuuuude! Sorry man! Total bummer! You got this, keep the chin up and keep doing your thing!
James totally should have pulled up while the cops were there!
You and the cop both handled this the right way.
this is what has always detered me from 100+ runs in my corvettes. The fear of going threw this. I only that on my kawsaki
You got off really lucky. In some states like mine in Maryland, anything over 100 mph is automatic jail time. That cop was cool as hell, though. Very professional.
Glad to see you were respectful to the guy who was just doing his job. Very Respectable!
I’m sure there were some jews who were nice to the Nazis “just doing their job”
This guys 4th amendment rights got destroyed without due process of law. It’s insane the things we tolerate as normal now.
The cop is super cool. 5 min later, your vehicle will be getting towed. LMAO!!!
Damn it man!! Can’t be mad, he’s doing his job. Maybe he didn’t have to impound but 20 over is good he didn’t take you to jail. But good on you keeping your cool too.
He didnt have to. He has discretion but im glad he did . 120 mph on the road we all share
I'm crying for you, I feel bad for you and all the work you put into the corvette.
I know exactly how it feels when your car gets impounded. And sorry about that my friend. I used to get cars impounded here in cali for not having a drivers license. But mine used to be on the towing place for the full 30 days so imagine the cost and not having a car for a full month!
the ole "race till the end point to make the $"
Can someone please explain to me the point of towing the car is if you can just pick it up the next day? Seems like its making the tow company accept a ton of a liability for potentially a 12 hour impound if this didn't happen on a Saturday.
The point is to make money, and make it as expensive and inconvenient for the car owner as possible.
I think the vette is in good hands, the tow truck driver was really kind and careful
You earned my subscription bro
Nothing 3 grand shouldn’t fix. Props to you and the cop for being nice…… it he COULD have knocked some off the ticket & kept it under 100mph IMO 🤷🏽
Wait so what exactly would the $3k for? The ticket? Also wouldn’t he get his license taken away for going 120 and being impounded ?
Cmorlok I agree, some cops 👮♀️ will just give you like a 95mph instead of the 140mph.
I mean he was professional and nice but he could have gaven him a little bit 👌 of a break
@@cmorlok I understand this completely. Thank you man
