19:51 I'm crying, that's exactly the device from hell that inspired my question 😂 I got real bad imposter syndrome after realizing I was so nervous to use it, so thanks 🥰. I also hated drilling at first but that went away after some pieces in which I had to saw out a lot of negative spaces to create leaves and roses. It got fun.
I hope that drilling will get easier for me too 😊 I think the reason why I'm dreading it so much is also due to my technique, I have a suspicion that it's not good. I'll keep practicing! 💕

Would it be fair to say that content creation is actually part of your jewellery business? It boosts your profile, uses many of the same resources as the pieces you make (possibly even the camera doing double-duty with the videos and photographing the pieces), and might connect with similar segments as your market for your jewellery.
I love those wave pieces. Really nice.

Well, fancy that another comment from; because I forgot to say something!
The power tools, the saw and the drill? I started using power tools as a schoolboy, learning them in woodworking and metalworking classes. Peer pressure means you can't not use them or show the apprehension you may well feel. But we were taught to use them safely and correctly. Fear is not always a bad thing and can, first off, teach us not to take dangerous tools for granted. Treat them with the respect they deserve, and you should have a lifetime of use without mishaps.

Thanks for this! You are so charming and genuine. I enjoy all of your videos and picking up tips from you on your metalsmithing journey. I started mine about a year ago and am slowly building up tools and have built myself a work bench. The struggle is purchasing the silver! Its cost has increased so much in the past few months. Can't wait to see and hear more about Poland. I have a friend from there (whom I haven't seen in many years). And I follow a UA-camr that lives in England now, but is originally from Poland. I love it when she goes back and posts her videos. Best of luck to you!

Hi, you mentioned about advertising, but didn't mention anything about where you have advertised or had experience. Since I'm a greenhorn 😂 in the jewelry business any and all information is appreciated. I love also getting perspectives from people who are outside of the US because I find them so refreshing. What I do when I’m using my Pepe tools jump ring maker is before putting the coils in the cutter I put black electrical tape on the back of the coil so the rings don’t go flying, then get a mesh strainer and use warm water and a mild soap and the tape comes right off and the rings fall into the mesh strainer

It's so frustrating to struggle for hours on some piece and then not be able to take good photos of it. It really diminishes all the effort you put in it.

I have a question ive been wondering a while, when you nake rings how do you know what size to make them? Do you wait untill some one orders to put the ring part on? Or do you adjust the size later? Lets say you make a size 7 ring but the person ordering it is a size 9, what do you usually do?
Do you use replica surface’s for photographing your pieces?

Hey Basia, I don’t know if anyone has asked this yet, but as a jeweler how do you post a picture of a cabochon ring that you offer different sizes for? Because I cannot set a stone until I know the size of the customer. I’ve been looking online all over to try to find the answer to this, but there isn’t any information. And when I see pictures of rings on Etsy for other sellers, they look finished, but yet they offer sizes..?? how did they do that? 💁♀️
You can make a ring or a few rings in a small size, like 5. When the ring sells, ask the buyer what size they need. You can pound the band on a ring mandrel to whatever size requested. If you're using a rawhide mallet it won't hurt your design. It will just gently make it bigger. Hope this helps.

Some sellers also make rings to order - they show a finished ring on the photo, and then they make a ring to order, using your requested size. That's how I was making my dainty rings on Etsy. It was possible, because I was using calibrated gemstones, meaning that they were in the same size. Another option is that only the top of the ring is semi-finished and the stone is loosely placed in the bezel (without setting). It looks almost finished, but it's not - after purchasing, the ring is finished to your size. I hope this helps! ❤️

Why do your hands move more than your mouth when you talk ? Do you think that if you injured your hands making jewellery you would lose your ability to talk until they healed ?
Absolutely! Although I'm not Italian, I do feel like hand gestures are significant in my communication, so losing this ability would most likely make it impossible for me to communicate for a while! 😁
