When you need a quick and easy dinner for a busy weeknight, Sausage & Peppers is the perfect recipe! All you need are four ingredients and about 15 minutes and dinner is ready. The secret to creating so much flavor with only a few ingredients is using a flavor-packed sausage. I like to use beef chorizo because I like the spicy flavor it gives the dish but you can use any kind of sausage you want!

I grew up on sausage with peppers and onions on a hoagie roll on New Years Eve at my grandparents house. I'm 73 and have carried on the tradition.
My kind of cookery. I actually just made my variant of this dish a few minutes ago. Will try this version next time. Mine is very similar to this, like my Italian mom and grandma before her used to make. I would add that peppers sometimes seem to resist getting soft and caramelized. Not necessary that they lose all crispness, but they need to be cooked through. I use relatively low heat and long cooking time, which I discovered through trial and copious error. I look forward to more videos from this channel!
I usually make my sausage stir fry a cajun style with mushrooms, brusclesprouts, bell pepper, onion, carrot, broccoli, zucchini, squash, and any other veggies I have laying around, then my secret mix of cajun seasoning oh and I use hot sauce and soy sauce to crispen everything up at the very end

I made something like this once. Except at the end, I took out the sausage and peppers, and sauteed some cubed potatoes in the fat. Once cooked, add the sausage and peppers back in. Makes a heartier dish. Family loved it.

Never leave your pan handles hanging out, that’s how accidents happen and you nearly had one when your elbow caught the handle. Just saying, safety first so always, handles in.

Loved the video and tried the recipe myself great job young man! A word of advise be careful with using metal utensils on Teflon coated pots and pans. The Teflon that gets scratched off can harm you. Also don’t leave the handle facing the walkway or where you’re standing for example at 3:08 you could have burned yourself! BTW I SUBSCRIBED 😄

It's late and I was looking for something easy and quick. This looks good, I may add a few egg noodles though
I use green onion sausage after the sausage is cooked I sometimes add about a half of cup of bq sauce. Coat well then I add the onions and bells. Makes a good poboy sandwich.

Just had this for dinner tonight :) I didn't cook it in the same pan though - cooked sausages in the oven, and sauteed the veggies separately. Will try this method next time :)

Growing up this is the first thing that came to my mind of cooking food
I made this for dinner last night I had pre cut frozen peppers and onions so just needed to cut up some sausage, I also sprinkled on a bit of mozzarella cheese at the end to melt over it

I put some mayonnaise on the slice of bread and add some veggies and top with sausages and cheese and then grill sooooo tasty
A bit of salt, pepper would have made it tastier as would putting some crushed garlic in with onion and peppers, but thanks for your time and video. 👍

Could you go over vegetable pairings for us? I'd love to do a sheet pan sausage meal but I'd like to change up the veggies I use each time. I'm not only looking for color ("no color / no flavor"), but I'm also looking to roast veggies that pair well with each other and that I can put some polish sausage with... HELP!!
Best is always bell peppers and onions, 3 or 4 different colors right there and pair best with it.
Put some salt pepper and garlic too will add more flavor

Alexis Ford As an amateur sausage maker, I will say that Sausage generally has a lot of salt and pepper in it. He repeatedly points this out as he cooks and tastes it. However, it is all about your preference, but I would warn you to taste before blithely dumping more salt and pepper in.
