To be honest I could not ask for more. You have been doing amazing stuff so far. One thing would be that I personally always enjoy "full game tutorials". So for example "making a gameXYZ clone" or "making a full zombie game". These tutorials are always really cool because beginners have a finished project after following them.

As a Technical Game Designer, I'd love if you kept making tutorial videos about prototyping random mechanics since these help give me new perspectives on how to program certain events using Unreal. I'm always watching your tutorials even if I know how to make the feature already just to explore different implementation practices.
Also more Game Jams would be great! :D

If you made a series where you would explain certain things in unreal like one video would be solely focused on vectors another one on timelines and stuff like this each important note so that the new game developers/ unreal users would know what notes already exist and more importantly they would understand what each note does. I believe that would be a great series for a beginner!

It would be very interesting and useful to see a lesson on creating a small game, where the emphasis is not so much on creating the game itself as on optimization that needs to be built in from the very beginning of the project (especially for open world games), with explanations of why certain functions in the project or map need to be enabled/disabled and what the consequences will be if this is not done

Whenever I watch a tutorial on YT about UE5, not just yours I often wonder if the way shown is the best way to do that particular process. It would be very helpful if you pointed out the best way to do certain things with regards to say, performance or graphics quality for instance. A series of videos that shows the optimal way to use blueprints or C++ or a mixture of both, when and where for a fast and fluid gaming experience would be brilliant. And coincidentally if you did that for stuff that could be used in a multiplayer FPS that would nicely coincide with the game I'm making, thanks in advance.

I would love to see a full multiplayer tutorial series on UE5 (so setting up multiplayer, replication, voice chat, lobbies, etc), as most videos on yt are for Ue4 and thus not that reliable anymore. I think a lot of people would want and appreciate a series like that ngl

Hey Ben, your tutorials are brilliant. With 5.4 coming, any insights you'll have on optimising would be grand. In fact, optimisation considerations before you even start building in any version of 5 in order to get more than 20fps. How to use megascans trees without your project slowing to 5fps. How to plan your project (what to consider first) in order to get more than 20fps. How to use the new audio system. How to create a day night cycle in 5.2+ (using old engine skysphere method hasn't worked for me, but that could just be me). Your content is some of the best in terms of how you explain things and your pace. Love your work!

Happy New Year Matt! Keep up the mix. Almost everything I've wanted to learn I've been able to find on your channel. The biggest headaches UE has presented were:
    - Getting it to package a game due to so many requirements for Windows. (I dread building a new PC and going through it again)
    - Uploading the game to Epic Games and Steam. Especially doing so with a free demo to start out.

Tutorials are always great. If you need ideas for more then things like making a main menu, setting up graphics / sound options, setting up a save system, carrying items over between levels, making a game build for testing / playing, would all be useful if you haven't made them already. Hoping your channel keep building over 2024 because I'm sure there are plenty of games that only exist because of your channel.

For a long series, I'd suggest creating a game with a lot of minigames with different mechanics so that us, the beginners, would have our own finished project by the end that we can go back to review and practice once we're making our own.
For short ones, I believe the ones that you've been making are already effin amazing. But if you're looking for new angles, I'd say giving tips on how to make simple animation renders or product/asset showcase would be cool as well, since not a lot of those tutorials (like cinematics and trailers) are currently available on the platform.
Thanks for your videos, man. You've been a great help to us these past years, and we're looking forward to your next videos 🤘

I'd love to see how a mutli-layered quest system would work in Unreal Engine, like getting an item, but you need another item to combine it with to craft the real one, etc., and an inventory/equip system.

One interesting video convcenpt would be a series of breaking down different games' gameplay and analyzing it from a dev point of view. First thank you for asking! My number one request at this point is for a paid subscription option (via discord, or otherwise) where we're able to work with you or your team (vetted people), one on one, to help address our specific issues better. Scheduled, live, hourly sessions are what I need!
I love your videos, and they've been an amazing starting point, but they always seem to take me about 70% of the way, and then I'm left with several unaddressed questions at the end-simply because my game has very specific needs. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks again!

I always wanted to see like the basic stuff everyone has to know but in depth, like a series. And I don't mean super basic like landscapes or Animation Blueprints, but like a in depth series on a subject. Like you did for that Animal series a while back.
Perhaps, an Advanced AI. It could be a refreshed Animal Series or NPCs, but advanced and in depth. Like a 10-15 episode series.
Or like a full RPG game series, but done well. Gorka games did that but his teaching is not even mediocre. You explain properly and actually help people learn the right way and make something decent in the end.
This can go for basically any subject. Driving, Combat, Cutscenes, Animations and so on. Short tutorials are great but i think people would learn much more from a series. Perhaps gather a few subjects and let the viewers choose which one?

Just watched your Spline video. Great stuff. Can't wait to get started.
I am very new to Unreal, so need all the tips and tricks. One topic I have not come across on YT, is a video, addressing things that might not work properly or things to be aware of that might make your life easier or harder in the UE Universe.
I recently found out.... you may laugh :-D... That you can change the quality of the view port, "Scalability". Due to previous work in AE and premiere, I knew something similar is possible... not know what is called, makes it difficult to address. I had searched for info on how to turn textureson and of to make UE run smoother - not finding much because its called Scalability.
Camera settings - Differences when using a Camera actor and Cinematic camera actor in conjunction with Post process volumes. Depth of field not possible with a "Camera actor" or is it? I have only gotten it to work with Cinema Camera.
In some situations I can't attach one actor to another.
Turning off an actor(plane with video on it), clicking the little eye icon, does turn it off in the view port but not in the render. It's still there.
Why can't I use the arrow keys to step-change the values of position, scale and other value changes, like I can in AE, Premiere. I always have to type or click the value and either pull right or left.
So topics that address things that are pretty annoying. I often sit and wonder if it's only me who is having these, pretty basic challenges.
Anyway. Looking forward to following along here.
    Thanx again 🙂

Personally I would love to see issues game projects usually come across like performance issues or blueprint specific problems that we as devs need to know about. Most common issues or even your own ones youve struggled days or weeks to find out it was caused by reason X.
But otherwise would just love to see more tutorials of anything related to unreal engine 5
Thank you for all everything you have teached us so far. You will be mentioned in credits

Maybe more advanced AI series using behavior trees, like combat and cover AI. Also maybe a more complex quest system, which opens for creative gameplay designing and story telling.

In terms of content, maybe some more intermediate to advanced solutioning from some of your previous tutorials. For example, opening and closing an object (door, drawer, etc.) and playing a sound and incorporating something like sound interruption and variable start time on play sound at location. For example, if a door opens, rotating 90 degrees, and the player decides to interrupt the timeline to close the door, let's say at half way open (45 degrees). Logic will stop playing the open door sound and play the close door sound starting in the middle of the sound cue or sound wave.

What I would personally want is more content on animation logic and easy work arounds for notoriously difficult things pertaining to animation code. Other than that your channel already has all of the fundamental knowledge needed for any dev to make a complete and working game.

Honestly, I love the way you teach us a lot of things. Why not a new format of tutorials with differents difficulites level
Easy : basics (open door, elevator...)
    Medium : (interaction, widget...)
High : (boss or ennnemis connected ((one could be death only if the other is already dead, AI system etc...)
With this format, everybody can reachs what he wants.
    Thanks for your stuff❤
