To me this is what the album track needed. I like walls but it never had a strong build up to climax. This is perfect. Slow song with a hard fast end. Fuck yeah kol
KOL said (Matthew I believe) that WALLS had originally been arranged like this, slow song with a big arena sound in the ending, like this. He described it as typical KOL song (builds up at the end). But they all thought it didn't work or something. This could be the original version/early arrangement. But could be a new arrangement too. I love this so much too! I'm dying to hear a clearer audio of this. This would've been a great bonus track for the deluxe version or something.
aumenarys to me every Kol album ended with the best song and I understand it not getting a big hook but even cold desert had that big build up at the end. The song just had me waiting for the build up til the end. Still a great tune to end the album

Only they know. I still think the way WALLS ends is how they wanted it to end on the album but decided to leave it for live shows. Makes sense too cause when i saw this happen live i had goosebumps lie crazy cause it was so unexpected.

It sounds good live, but, to me, it kinda looses the sad part to it... I understand completely their choices not to put it this way in the album.

I agree haha, Cold Desert, Arizona, Pickup Truck are great songs! But Cold Desert is really the only one with a big hook in the end, don't you think?
