I just went for it, knowing that I'd miss a bunch. I would LOVE to see you make your own version of this video. As a business/marketing guy who makes excellent thumbnails, your list, I think, would be really respectable. Cheers!
Oh, man! I absolutely love the Empire of Grass cover. It reminds me of one of those ruined gothic church in England, like Tintern Abbey. Thanks for watching.
Am more familiar with the Larry Elmore cover for Autumn Twilight. Jeff Easley as well as fantasy covers moved away from Boris and Frazetta. In the special category, the Subterranean Press cover for Gardens is also amazing.
I've never seen the other cover for Autumn Twilight. Just looked at the Subterranean Press version of Gardens. It's pretty cool. I tend to like books that have a hero, warrior, or whoever the protagonist is on the cover. Thanks for watching!
Michael Whelan is my favorite. Love all his old school covers; Anne McCaffrey, Tad Williams so great! I often feel the cover artists do not get the credit they deserve.
Yes, Michael Whelan has to be my favorite fantasy artist of all time. I feel like the cover artists should get mentioned at least on the publication page, if not on the back of the book.
I'm rather fond of Richard Anderson's illustrations myself. He's proven to be one of the few artists who I may check out a book based on his covers alone, because of his style. Great video Jordan!
Yeah, I hadn't seen the Larry Elmore cover until after I made the video, but you're right; it's pretty amazing. Thanks for watching. I'm starting your book on Sunday. Looking forward to it.
I can't believe you didn't include Michael Whelan's cover for 'Sunrunner's Fire' on this list. Really?!? Not that I read the book, because I'd given up on the series by then, but damn, that cover was AWESOME. I even bought a bookmark showing that image.
This is a great topic. I've thought about ranking my favorite covers ever for a couple years now. It's just so big of a field.

To keep the Whelan love going: Empire of Grass may be my all-time favorite.

My favourite is "A Memory of Light". Wheel of Time is not even one of my favourite series, but I love that cover so much
You’re absolutely right. That’s a super beautiful cover. I should have thought of that one.
Michael Whelan's cover for Black Sun Rising is phenomenal. Best cover ever, imo.
I absolutely love that cover. Great book, great painting. Thanks for watching!

Great video Jordan!
Thanks for watching. Richard Anderson? What covers does he do?
@@iWizardSome of the covers he’s done includes Beyond Redemption, Nicholas Eames’ books, Brian Lee Durfee’s trilogy.
@@someokiedude9549 oh, yes. I really like those covers. The Nicholas Eames one just barely didn’t make the cut.
the Larry Emore cover for Dragonlance was better than the one you showed. but that is just my opinion.

Thanks for sharing. I hadn't even heard of Sunrunner's Fire before your comment. That's a pretty vivid and striking cover. Cheers!
#15 is Dragonlance, *NOT* Forgotten Realms.
Ah, yes, I see you're right. Thanks for the correction! :)
14:25 chronic laziness then😂
lol, I agree
