The role of immunotherapy in non-transplant eligible multiple myeloma

Xavier Leleu, MD, PhD, Poitiers University Hospital, Poitiers, France, discusses the role of immunotherapy in non-transplant eligible multiple myeloma. Twenty years ago, there was no treatment that non-transplant eligible patients could benefit from. Today with the development of novel drugs, the heterogeneous population can be treated on an individual basis. Immunotherapy has transformed myeloma, but there are further developments to come in the future for both transplant and non-transplant eligible patients.
