@@thegarykluttpodcast can’t wait ! I pulled some stories outta my Dad and his Hot Rodding days they are the best 👍
I'm from TO as well, know both of you, met a few times. Have to say one of the best stories and the fact that you say it like it is, is great. True car guys can understand and appreciate where you are now. Funny about the AutoTrader and early bird to get the cars. I never saw the $4K Shelby though! LOL. I've got Ford background. I remember a customer brining in a 500 convertible that he brought from the US at the time when I was in my apprenticeship here at a Ford dealer (1974). I remember him saying he was a teacher. The moral was buy one and it will be worth $$ later. I dont have all the history as Peter but followed from the very early years. Well done by Gary, great technique with the mic!
thanks for being real.
@@mitchbrandes1456 hey thanks for the note! Really appreciate the kind words
Best wishes from Brazil! I'm Big fan of your DAD
OMG!!!! your dad rocks ........Ask him if he remembers drag racing on the 427 from the traffic lights at the now 409 overpass. I remember the place on Steeles where we used to drag ...lol. We had some badass Malton boys that used to show up at Finch and Weston ....lol
Ask him if he ever came to the MacDonald's at Derry and Goreway in Malton
Yes yes yes good to see you both on a pod cast Peter you got a good kid there
Great job gents, love listening while I work. Hope all is well!
Thanks man I appreciate you listening!
I believe I met Peter when I was around 18 and I worked at Pace Car Imports in Niagara .. 🤔 my boss sent me in a bmw to Milton Shelby shop to pick up parts for a formula 3000 car he was racing back then…
That would have been the shop yup!
A great episode.A true rags to riches story.
I am going WAY back but Peter has regular guest appearances on another show.Tom was one of the hosts and that other host was a skinny with a beard. It was mid 90s possibly. What was the name of that show?
Thank you
