    Ah, Morrowind. The one truly unique and original subsetting in The Elder Scrolls. Everything else is closely derived from a human culture or older fantasy tropes.

    • @Fortify2030
      @Fortify2030 8 місяців тому +6

      Dunmer culture was lightly inspired from India. Tribunal = Trimurti, calpa, Vivec = Shiva. But at the same time Veloth almost obviously inspired by Moses, and thus Trinimac is the Pharoh

    • @Nonamearisto
      @Nonamearisto 8 місяців тому

      @@Fortify2030 Very loosely at most. The Tribunal could also easily be taken from the Christian trinity- their temple even has "saints" in it- and it's obvious that Vivec, Sotha Sil, and Almalexia are meant to be a fighter, mage, and thief, respectively.
      And the Kalpa isn't a term in Elder Scrolls which is specific to Morrowind.

    • @Fortify2030
      @Fortify2030 8 місяців тому +3

      @Nonamearisto Which god in Trinity is a trasngender? 😁 Early Shiva cults depicted him as a transgender god just like Vivec, he also a poet and a warrior. Sotha Sil is obviously Brahma, god creator.
      And Almalexia is the Vishnu.
      Also Nerevarine is an avatar of Nerevar ancient dunmer warrior and king, which reminds us Rama.
      In Christianity trinity is ONE god, not three different gods. Tribunal is the three different gods, wich can act as one if needed and become AlmSiVi. In hinduism Trimurti can do the same and become as the Brahman (ultimate being).

    • @Nonamearisto
      @Nonamearisto 8 місяців тому

      @@Fortify2030 Vivec is not transgender. He might be intersex (two sets of parts), but he doesn't identify as female after being born male.

      @Nonamearisto yes, i meant two parts of sexs in one person. He can change sex at will. I dont know how its called, androgyn (?).

    “Divine inspiration” is an interesting word for what became of a “sithis shaped hole”. The heart and the void it left has also been connected to Sheo, I wonder if this divine madness was intentional at all, especially in regards to what the heart did to Dagoth, and if the heart is atleast metaphorically related to Sheo, it says a lot of Vivec blaming Bar on him

  • @adrianaslund8605

    Great video. Even though I've played Morrowind long after both Oblivion and Skyrim, there is something special about it when compared to others. It's as though a piece of it has stayed with me through it all, and nostalgia has nothing to do with it. This video captures all of it well and I get this warm feeling when hearing the music and the landscape of Morrowind. Thank you for your work.

For years I have been following all the lore video's on fudgemuppet, first when you just wrote them, then after you also talked in them. then slowly it started to decline with the podcast taking over witch I did not like nearly as much as a scripted video. then all the lore video's just stopped. I have been missing it ever since until now! I did not know you split off and made al your video's here, shame on the algorithm, it should know I will now watch everything you made in the next couple of weeks.

    First armour shown on the high elf in the intro? Also great vid Drew love ya man get working on making some scripts for lore accurate npc interactions that the fandom will use voice ai to put in skyrim (we need lore masters like you to do this and tamriel will at last be in our grasp)

    Man this is so dope! I see a few other creators from other communities doing the longer format and I really like it. Deep dives on areas, individuals and events with this almost doc vibe to it. I highly enjoy this style of lore content.

    That was enthralling and enchanting!👌🏻🔥🤌🏻 I wish I had played Morrowind but I didn’t learn enough about it to invest myself at the time-I did manage to with Oblivion and Skyrim however. I doubt I’ll have time before the world goes tits-up now-I’m also too busy prepping for the complete collapse of civilisation and civil war to focus on anything else other than relaxing and watching videos like this in my downtime😀🤷‍♂️

    Great video. I loved playing Morrowind on the original Xbox. I remember not really liking the slavery aspect of their society. I freed every kahjit and argonian I came across. I do think its poetic justice that the dunmer got rocked by an eventual war that nearly destroyed their society.

    It really is nostalgic looking at the beginning of this video. I still have my original more win for the first Xbox console down here with all of my other games. I also wish I had an old console I can play it on. Nothing that has come after Elder Scrolls Morrowind has been even close to on par with it.

    The music... So much nostalgia it hurts my heart. When life was good. When I was happy. I miss my brother. I miss my mom. I miss my old friends. I miss home. Time goes by way too fast. 😢
