I know its meant as a joke, but of the people i know in my class a good third brew their own alcohol (beer/mead/cider) and all of us wish distillation wasnt hella illegal since we could manage it in our sleep.

Ethanol is simple. No synthesis to it. Let the yeast work on a carbohydrate, then distill. Now there are drugs they synthesize or alkaloids they extract, if they aren’t squares. And they do make alcohol, but that’s the easiest one.

For me it’s usually Gordon’s London dry gin because it’s cheap and as a petrolhead the gasoline taste reminds me of why I’m studying engineering despite my intense hatred of math.
Factual. Learned real quick that dark liquors (while tastier imo) are NOT the play if you got a test. Put 40 hours of study into one test for an 81%… and a bottle of gin. Worth
The best mixer for vodka & everclear is freshly carbonated water 7°C cold. At that temperature the amount of carbonation it can hold is at its maximum capacity while also not being too cold to drink quickly. Ice into glass. Stir until frost forms. Pour out excess water. Add three shots worth of spirit. Top with chilled water. Drink through straw. This concoction absorbs into the bloodstream extremely quickly, minimizes hangover and can be drunk faster than anything else. Plus per quantity of raw ethanol it's just plain cheaper than any competitors and due to the coldness and carbonation you just flat-out don't taste any liquor. Oh and it doesn't contain any additional carbs so it's as healthy as drinking's ever gonna get.
