This guy is gem. He just knows everything. I even saw him in masked moto videos. Don't know him personally but he seems to be so down to earth with so much of knowledge and money too 😉. And he just talk business nothing bullshit.
This is really informative and people blindly up size their tyres without knowing the science behind it. This is breaking a lot of stereotypes. Last year I explained same thing to my friend, when he wanted to swap his Himalayan 17' rim to 18' inch and run a tyre which is lower profile.
That's how a suv should look with proper tyres .... It's just a coincidence that the very next day after seeing this video I saw a scorpio with these tyres looked absolutely amazing 👍🏻👍🏻

Love your videos Abhinav. I mean the sensibility & transparency while sharing information and being mindful of viewers ‘to be’ questions & providing answers to them .... very sincere effort. Subscribed 🙌🏼
Finally a thar modification video i could like. What sunil shetty did right IMO. 1. Decreased wheel size from 18-16" (most people go above 20, it makes my eyes hurt) also, more rubber, more ride comfort on uneven roads. 2. BFG KO2's. I used them on my Pajero, it had done over 60000kms on them, and there are still alot of tread left (easily 25000-30000kms). I use them in mountain roads with corrugations and gravel surfaces alot. Aired them down to 25 and they work flawlessly. 3. Steel rims : although i have not had any issues with alloys, i like the aesthetics of the steel rims, and if you scratch it or dent it, just paint over them. 😅 4. Thar modification : minimalistic yet effective and will serve its purpose. This dude really know what he's doing, although m a bit disappointed you had to remove the cladding in the front. Really love your video guys. Keep it up and i would like to see more videos on your DMax on what looks like an Ironman setup. 👍👍 Cheers man.
Hello. Thank you for this appreciative post. I have done detailed videos with Jaideep on his truck and trailer. You can find then on my channel somewhere. Cheers
Nicely prepared Thar. BFG Ko2 is very good and strong tyres. I have this on my Toyota landcruiser Prado for more than 6 yrs and i do a lot of drives including driving on wadis and rocky surfaces and desert. They are good and comparitively less noisy when compared to other aggressive tyres like cooper discoverer STT PRO
Bhai, awesome beast, truly my type of a vehicle, I had a Tata Safari dicor, fully modified with big tyres.. I sold my Safari and picked up a Kia Seltos GTX+ top end ( Petrol ), it's a great vehicle but not my type, I did take a test drive of a THAR before I could finalize on which vehicle to go for, but the only reason I dint go with the THAR was it was a two door , had it been 4 door vehicle i would have for surely picked it up, however I heard THAR is launching its 5 door model in 2023, lets hope I get to pick that up, All the best to you, Drive Safe, Happy Miles. God Bless.
Hi Abhinav, Thought to revisit this video because I've top model Scorpio N 4x4 with R18 255/60 by Bridgestone Ecopia HT, & its barely 11250 kms however wear is more than I expected. My rides will be 90% Tarmac & 10% Offroad in a year. I came across, Yoko G015 AT/Vredestein Pinza AT/BF Goodrich AT. Which do you think is best for my case? Please note that I do not want to compromise on the comfort & noise. Also in this video, Jaydeep was talking about Steel Rims, so is it really that great for both On & Off Road as compared to OE Alloys? Thanks in advance.
You should do a follow-up video of Jaideep's Thar. What all mods has he managed to do, how is the drive quality etc. Would make for amazing content. He is a very knowledgeable person and open to sharing that knowledge!
Very informative video, I also own a Mahindra thar. First set of tyres were Ceat stock company tyre which could only Do 26000 km. Then I upgraded my set up in 275/85/R17 with the steel rims from BK tyres only, which I drove only 8000 km and then I changed my set up recently to the stock BF good rich 265/60/R18 with the company alloys. After seeing your video I am again planing to upgrade my set up similar to his thar. I just have one question My radar tyre set up was too heavy If I upgrade to this set up will it be better or similar to my radar set up as this set up I find more practical. One more thing with 265/75/R16 Which suspension should I go for as We have more options of suspensions available today in the market like Dr nano, Profender ARC etc
Hey there, I have been super interested in getting these KO2s for my truck here Dubai but have been concerned on their on-road behavior, especially when it comes to high speed cruising. Can you please let me know if body roll tends to increase with this tyre? As a heads up, I might swap my existing 20s to 18s or 17s. Let me know :-)
You would have the option of Cooper AT³ there too, those or the BFG KO² are probably the best options Body roll will be affected by rim offset or tire width only - wider the better
@@TreadTrails thanks for the tip, will keep this in mind. Nice to know you are from Patiala as I did my schooling from BDPS back in '98 when my dad was posted there!
