Soon cdl owner here im in NJ whats a good compmay to start to learn this industry where to start i hear its hard when your a new driver with no experience
Ayyy im from cherry hill. I would recommend starting with a local company, maybe regional, to see how you like driving and get your experience in. First year is a learning experience mostly. I would also recommend getting your endorsements, its easy and opens up more opportunities.
@classAmoto Have you ever considered buying a used truck, and contracting it onto a company a hiring a driver, while you keep your day job. Especially if your in a state outside of California, the truck prices are extremely cheaper, due to not being subjectthe carb laws , in CA , out of state you can purchase used trucks matter what year they are, which makes buying a semi very affordable.
I think it’s a good career I just hate how you can get your license at 18 but have to wait until you’re 21 to get hired because nobody hires any one under 21! i wait until October once I turn 21 going to work for Amazon Tom team for the experience then maybe jb hunt going to just get my endorsements in the mean time

It’s better to become a trucker in yourself late 20s or when you start your 30s. I say that because you are still really young and may want to dip or try into other things. I suggest thinking about going to college before trucks driving unless it’s something you really want to do for life.

Trucking is not a career
It's the way to make some money when market is good but that's rare, mostly it sucks like 2023 and especially 2024.

If you don’t value your social life or mental health, than it’s alright
Not all truckers stay out, im home every day and on the weekends.

JB hunt is a solid company I got a buddy who works there
You dont want to do trucking in your teen years anyways , you sposed to be having fun at that time 😀
