Eh I sorta disagree with the 2nd point since I feel like a spin off should be allowed to do different things with the same characters and the same world. Otherwise what’s the point of the spin off. Why don’t I just watch the old show on repeat if it’s just going to be the same thing in the new show.
Although they’re both TV-Y7, I still feel like we baby bears could be meant for an ACTUAL younger audience from how it looks. I wish they kept the original art style
@@greenknight8668 Anime is mainly Japanese? Chinese animation looks similar to most anime but it usually doesn't do much exaggeration, which is key in this show.
ngl i didn't give the show a chance at first BECAUSE i thought it was for a younger audience due to the artstyle. ended up enjoying it though. not perfect but not horrible
@@charmingmagican9821 No offense, but this was like almost 2 years ago. My opinion on the show kinda changed to being ok now. I did like the one where Daffy swears, lol.
The thing I liked about the original is how grounded it was, and a wouldn't mind this new take, if it weren't for the fact that the original was taken up by baby episodes already, there was only a handful of good baby episodes, mainly that one with ice bear, that was so good and I wish it was expanded upon more than the 3 episodes it got. The second thing is that the anime inspired art style is just not for me, the minor inspiration from anime the original had wasn't that bad, but these larger than life adventures are a far cry from the original, and again, it's just not for me.
I always found it weird hpw they baby bears never found a home even in the original series. Like, they met at least 3 people that would probably give them a home if they wanted to, like that ramen shop they helped in Japan.
I haven't seen it, but the art style honestly doesn't intrigue me. It feels like it's trying too hard to be cute, which makes it not cute at all. I kind of wish that the original, adult versions of the bears was still having new episodes as I enjoyed those more, especially because it was slice of life
I liked the original except the fourth season which I found boring due to the numerous non-backstory baby bears episodes the season contained. This version of the show is an instant turn off. I hate the art-style, the forcefulness and the plotlines which are IMO, worse than any season of the original.
@@OmniversalInsect Nothing tops the first 2 seasons. You can see a change starting from the final episodes of season 2 though where the plotlines got a bit more boring but it wasn't until the end of season 3 when I found the show to be boring. That was also when the 3 bears started appearing less together and pursued individual episodes. I have nothing against that but it became too much of the norm. In my opinion, We Bare Bears worked best when they used all the three adult bears.
@@ItsHailee7 Yeah, I think the idea of the bears being explored more individually is good but for the most part the execution wasn't that great and is kinda boring
Eh, I'm still mixed on this show. I do agree that the art style is VERY cute, which means there's gonna be a lot of good Japanese merch from this show because it fits the Kawaii pastel aesthetic very well, and I do like that. But, I don't like that WBB got completely overshadowed because Baby Bears Cute to the detriment of the show, especially since we know what happens to the bears in the end being that they find a home in SanFran as adults. It kinda renders the idea of doing these fantastical imaginary worlds moot (and also the original overmilked Baby Bears episodes after a certain point) when you know what the end product is going to be in the main series, but that it doesn't answer (at least not now) any of the more important questions regarding the Baby Bears: those being what happened to Grizz to cause him to not only get stuck in a tree but separated from his mom, and what happened to Panda's mom especially since we see her in the Meat House flashback. Ice Bear's arc at least got closure and an explanation in WBB, but it feels like there's been several missed opportunities to tell Grizz and Panda's full stories, with the movie being the most egregious one for Grizz by not having him speak bear after getting captured (since the Burrito flashback shows he wasn't speaking English when he was originally found) or showing his mom in any capacity. So I'm kinda on the fence. This show is adorable, and I like that its adorable. I like the Baby Bears as a concept, because cute and I'm a sucker for cute merch. But it feels like they weren't aiming for a solely kid audience with this, and were also trying to nab the original WBB viewers with plot. But the plot, as you've pointed out, tends to rely too heavily on one set of tropes because the character are babies. Which to me leaves it in a weird place where I don't see myself watching this, but I can appreciate its aesthetic. In the end I think I want a better conclusion to WBB (I liked the movie don't get me wrong) that doesn't sideline its plot to overdose on Baby Bear shenanigans and actual answers questions the series posed. Oh and for CN to stop butchering shows apart to mass produce the one aspect of the show they deem marketable.
I agree totally with that final sentence of yours. Too many shows get cancelled even before they could rise to fame and the ones that do make it end up being rebooted in which always ends up to be terrible. They don't care about the quality, they only care about how lucrative the shows are because of the profit they make. Nickelodeon is king of this and I'm upset that in recent years, CN is following their lead.
unrelated but did you know a panda's digestive systems is better equipped for eating meat, but they just eat bamboo anyway, so Panda being a vegetarian makes even more sense, since the species chose leafy greens over steak in some weird evolutional way
I'm just gonna say this. I'm really a fan of this spin-off. trying to like this, but I just can't. I'm not against the idea of a We Bare Bears spin-off series, but why this? 1) If they wanted to do a spin-off prequel series focus about the bears when they were still babies, do it. Don't change the animations, make it some anime fantasy series, the baby bears already showed to had tons of cool adventures as proven by the We Bare Bears episodes focus on them. Just keep the concept idea for the show the same, just keep the same animations from the original show the same and ditch the whole magical, fantasy concept. 2) I feel like a We Bare Bears spin-off, still focusing on the bears seems a bit weak, cause I feel like the Bears chapter have ended with the movie, if they really wanted to do a We Bare Bears spin-off, they should've focus on another character from the show, like Chloe, who I feel could carry her own show if given a chance to, or a character who we'd never think of getting theirs own show, characters like the Poppy Rangers. A show focus around wouldn't be a bad idea, we only see them when they're with Ranger Tabes or Grizz, what about getting them thiers own show, one where we can see them hold a show on theirs own without the need of Tabes or Grizz, Lord of the Poppy show that they can be really interesting, let see more of that and them doing more Poppy Rangers stuffs and go on adventures.
That's very well said. I think you can keep the style. To me, the appeal was seeing how well-traveled the bears were, and how interesting the stories are. Here, it seems like they're focusing more on being cute than having interesting origin stories.
I'm so glad I'm not the only person that found the baby bears episodes and the baby bears show itself boring as hell. Like it's kinda cute in concept when it is a fan service strip on the webcomic (what this shows based off of) but an entire show based around it is an awful idea
It kills me that we’ll never get an icy nights III, and instead we got this, which I don’t think anyone was asking for. I’m not mad at this show specifically, just at CN for not green lighting at least enough we bare bears to finish the icy nights story. It’s very disappointing
First of all, everyone keeps saying that the baby bears in We baby Bears are so adorable and so "Kawaii". And that the art style is cute. But in my opinion, the baby bears design from the original show was like ten times cuter. I mean the ones in the new show are just trying too hard to be "cute". With the little puppy eyes and the round shapes and stuff. While the ones in the original show didn't even try but they had their own little charm and they were just plain out adorable. And Ice Bear not being able to talk as a baby was one of the best things about him. But in the new show, they literally turned the coolest and probably one of the most liked characters in the show into an exaggerated, boring *thing* that sounds like its about to hit puberty. Like I mean in one episode, the new Ice Bear "finds out the equation for wormholes" or something I don't even know. Don't get me wrong, Ice Bear is probably one of the smartest characters, but that exaggeration is just a bit cliche and they're like trying too hard to give the bears personality. One of the things that made the original show good was that it had realistic, relatable situations. The new show is just plain out fantasy. I get that small children do like that whole fantasy aspect but the continuation of We Bare Bears through We baby Bears really shows how Cartoon Network is evolving from a network for all people of all ages to enjoy to a pre kindergarten nursery rhyme Cocomellon-like abomination. Sorry you had to read all that.
Has anyone ever watched or heard of an animated TV show called Totally Spies! by any chance? If so does anyone know that Thomas Astruc (one of the original writers for the series) announced the show would be returning again (During 2023) with a new 7th season in the works?
5:30 This is probably one of the if not the most stupid thing they messed up on in the two shows all together Pandas in the wild eat bamboo despite being predators, they just live in a place where the food they need to eat is very scarce so they eat what they have around them and they eat a lot of it. It could’ve made a perfect episode joke where someone says, hey aren’t you a herbivore and then panda has to say that that’s a harmful stereotype. Big brain Ice bear move right here
Personally, While I find the We Baby Bears art style cute and I like the ecstatic of the show. It just really isn’t my cup of tea and I honestly find it really annoying the original series got cancelled for it because there were so many arcs and stories that were left unchecked especially with The Ice Bear Yuri arc being a perfect example of this, because that girl who he used to be partners with is actually Yuri’s daughter. But it never went anywhere after that and I was so invested in it too because Ice Bear is my favourite character and there is just so much mystery and backstory to him and the Yuri arc could have been a perfect send off to his character and I also liked how dark it was because while the original series definitely was a slice of life, wholesome and funny show overall it had a lot of dark moments too (with Grizz’s backstory also being another perfect example which never went anywhere too) and it’s those dark moments that hooked me to the show cause while I still wanted my slice of life wholesome episodes I also wanted dark serious storylines in it too and I just know we aren’t gonna get any of that in We Baby Bears. So in conclusion while the new show isn’t for me, I know it is for many other people and I just wished the original series didn’t end so soon cause I know it would definitely become one of Cartoon Networks most popular shows if it continued these storylines.
I didn't even realize this show was out. I also thought this was supposed to be for younger audiences. The artstyle and animation reminds me of a japanese childrens show something along the lines of Hamtaro where a younger audience would really enjoy it but not so much with an older crowd.
I would get the feeling that this is probably gonna be another spin off show in the trash, Or at the very least, be popular in Japan. Because this fricking show looks like a fricking anime lol
Is it bad that I misread the title as "We Bear Bears?" I was about to go ham haha. I've never heard of this spin off but the animation looks good. I wish they did more with it.
we bare bears was one of my favorite shows simply because it didn’t need over the top cartoon-ish style in its animation or its plot. i loved how it felt like everyday life with the exception of an over exaggerated plot here and there in the original show and it had its charms through being simple, but the new show just feels almost dumbed down and loses it’s charming nature. such a cute cartoon but honestly really sad to see cartoon network couldn’t appreciate what it had began with
I’m still questioning how this show got a movie and spin-off. Yes the original is good but was it really pulling the attention to warrant being milked so much? I just rarely see anyone talking about it.
I think it has to do with the merch, apparently it sells really well but I feel like most of the people who buy that merch don't even know about the show, they just see three cute bears
it something has to do with the we bare bears movie like the movie was supposed to be like an advertisement for the spinoff series, there is that sorta rule in cartoon network I mean just look at Steven universe the movie and Steven universe future
Episodic shows are good unless they do what Adventure Time & Regular Show did with their love triangle arcs that you forget about a week after because it's not an immediate follow up, then you're reminded of it in the next season. Ben 10 UA also did that with Elena when she returned for 2 episodes then disappeared until Omniverse were she didn't speak and then they finished it with a comic book.
Give me the original anyday. They at least spaced out with the baby bear eps and Adult ones but I couldn't commit to a whole series of Baby Bear eps I always got annoyed (still do) when the parent show was unfairly criticised for being "boring" just because it was laid back and was "its own thing".
I didn't even know the baby bears theme was the theme song because I caught it in the middle with a bunch of japanese girls modeling on my screen with a pastel looking filter. It's only after seeing clips of the cartoon that I put together it was the theme song. I just thought it was marketing a Japanese anime style cafe.
Kinda hard to compare rugrats to remakes of shows that age down their characters. The problem with aging down characters as a spin-off is that writers are in a position where they have to keep the core traits and dynamics of the characters while changing the setting. I think this is fine, but these characters were designed to be a certain age/in a certain setting so making that shift can be hard (but not impossible). Which is why i think comparing it to rugrats isn't appropriate as those characters were designed to be babies and their dynamics play into that. It makes me wish these shows weren't just obvious cash grabs and actually made attempts at trying to establish the relationships of characters we're familiar with. Like imagine if squidward and spongebob were super good friends in camp coral but spongebob's antics would get the 2 in trouble with a theoretical series finale being squidward breaking off their friendship for this very reason. I guess i just dont get why these had to be a spin off (except total dramarama which had to be a spin off as the main series was over).
I like to headcanon that this show was, in the We Bare Bears universe, is something Panda would actually direct and produce. Like cmon; Theme song made by K-Pop artists, artstyle looks like anime (I know it was the producer's influence but still) and who loves K-Pop and Anime? P A N D A.
the way they are drawn is unappealing to me. the eyes do not make them cuter, it looks tacky. we bare bears’ artstyle was cute because it was simplistic.
Most modern cartoon shows bore me to death. Personally, I feel that a lot of them are too close to reality. Even if they take place in a fantasy or sci-fi setting. Everything from the designs, the world, the themes, the way the characters talk and are voiced, is something that you will find in the real world. And that is my issue with modern animation. If I want to see the real stuff, I just stay in the real world. The reason why animation was always so fascinating for me is, that you could use this medium to tell stories that you wouldn't see in live-action.
What happened to shows is a similar thing that happened to video games. Casuals do not want to stray too far away from the familiar, so shows constantly stay in that region However over the years that region got smaller Before it was "City area" where pink yellow and bright blue Colors were fine to use, but now it's "Newyork"
I agree that it's got potential and I really hope they pull out the stops. Something this cute with decent-to-good animation and style shouldn't have to end up boring. (That fox antagonist is a neat addition, I think)

Has anyone heard of any new anime's like "Selection Project", "Digimon Ghost Game", "My Dress-Up Darling", "Tokyo 24th Ward" and/or "Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure" by any chance? Also, I heard that the last one might have a superhero who's similar to Tuxedo Mask (Sailor Moon Series).
I remember waking up too see the first episode aired because I love the original we bare bare show. I was so disappointed with how random and unrealistic the concept is compared to the original. The art style changed, the voices changed, AND ICE BEAR TALKS SO MUCH MORE! Don’t get me wrong it can be a good show and there’s a lot of good stuff in it but I don’t like how it doesn’t match well with the original.
I watched it recently and found myself drawn to the different designs of the characters each episode (Unica's my favorite, she reminds me of my persona and the lesson she learns is something I can definitely relate to: don't be afraid to ask for help!). It really does feel like the bears are visiting other worlds! Although the format was similar in the episodes I watched [which personally for me, limits the potential of an episodic show since anything can happen, so why even bother with one or two styles of plot when the sky's the limit?], I still had a good time. It's adorable, but on top of what it already has, it could be even more!
Its a fine show. The worlds they travel too can be interesting and I think the trio are similar enough to their adult counterparts. Although Ice bear does talk a bit more (also like that the narrator is Ice Bears adult VA) I'm not really bothered by the art style either. It has it's own charm to it that I like
I used to love We bare bears as a kid and I still love it today! And I especially loved to episodes with the bears as cubs, so when I saw a add for We baby bares I was hooked but one part of the add made me furious and the part that made me mad was when I figured out ice bear could talk, even though in We bare bares ice bear could talk, and the newer show just seemed lest interesting then the original show well now I don't watch We bare bears anymore
Somehow I always thought We Baby Bears copied Kirby LOL. This is because Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear have Cardboard Stars that can take them to strange places. It's the same with the Warp Star on Kirby which has a function like cardboard on We Baby Bears. Plus, the trio bears art style design is similar to Kirby's😅😅😅
Probably the only thing that holds me back from watching this reboot is the art style, I think the baby bears were just trying hard to be cute? atleast for me, Like I think their baby designs in the original We Bare Bears way better than their design in the reboot, though this is just my preference some peeps might find them fairly cute. But yeah I just think they were trying so hard to be cute
A better question is why do so many baby spinoffs become cartooner This Total Dranarama and Pup Named Scooby Doo are a lot more wacky and zany compared to there parent show ?
I’m so glad that for once, one of these “let’s turn (characters) into babies” shows is good. It’s not the greatest thing, but it’s not awful to sit through.
It has a good art style yes and it's cute, but it's kinda repetitive with the whole finding a new home thing, which is one of the gripes I have But overall I hope season 2 will be good
We Baby Bears has potential. I’m not going to count this show out just yet. There has been shows that wasn’t that good in S1 but got better as it went on.
everytime i look at our 3 bears in this baby form, it reminds me of the similar sizes of Hamtaro, when the camera is focus more on the hamsters then comparing their sizes to humans. Not in a bad way, but just the vibe feel.
The only episode I really found interest in from this show was the echolocation episode and honestly, I don't know why. Cartoon network has annoyed me with the intro's song tho- they keep playing the whole song as an advertisement and it's just annoying hearing the same things on repeat, day after day after day. I like the song but JESUS.
i wont see it i think i had enough watching the great show we bare bears the most thing i like about we bare bears is the smart comedy that the adults and the kids can understand the jokes and the story of the episodes from characters side what made the cartoon special to be honest i find it one of greatest cartoon network shows
not to be so negative but i never liked the baby bear episodes in the original in the first place. the first couple episodes were interesting but i honestly didn’t care at all about their childhoods after a certain point. From what i remember the information in the baby bear episodes was never relevant to the main story’s world building whatsoever. Not counting obvious ones like them getting adopted. (which imo was i guess kind of interesting but not real important. still a good episode though.) These filler episodes are okay for this show honestly but if you’re gonna make so many at least add some simple things like why a character really likes this one thing, something that shaped their personality and how they handle situations. Also this anime kawasaki isekai idea just feels really left field? sure talking anthropomorphic bears are not realistic and had some mystical elements but it still limited itself to realistic expectations, which can make a plot stronger as opposed to anything being possible. the animation looks wonderful. This would’ve worked way better as it’s own different show. For most of it, you could just change the characters and make original ones. it’s a cute show for sure but from the episodes you describe they exist in a void and ultimately do not effect the main plot. The other problem is most viewers know where they end up, so showing all these mystical worlds for them to end up in a cave living amongst a normal human society seems very anticlimactic in sequence of events. With a show like this you also risk continuity errors with the source material also i agree with what you said about liking episodic shows more than continuous story ones. too much pressure to catch up to the latest episodes and catch them on air
How much anime do you want? *OVER 9000!* Seriously though, I loved the art style, but I do agree that there could be more variety in the episodes' plot...
One thing I don’t like about most of the baby bears episodes (in the main show) is every episode of them is about their desire for an owner, even though that never comes back to them as adults. Yuri and the Bear & Panda 2 are exceptions, as they’re an origin story for Ice Bear’s combat and brains, as well as Panda’s obsession with media. This show is definitely not canon, which makes sense, and I think the episodes should just gradually change from being about one single goal.
The reason why this spinoff isn’t as good as the original is because the creator, Daniel Chong, actually left Cartoon Network. Also, the voice actors were changed. :(
I felt like the show itself was pretty decent on its own but the characters seem off from how the baby bears were in WBB. Like I know they had to give ice bear speaking roles and he couldn't be silent anymore but he's too sassy imo. They're not SUPER off but just enough that something feels weird
Possibly the worst aspect is just them trying to merge cartoon with animeish style. It can work, but think about HiGS. It tried but failed miserably. Both are cute, but it could've been more than cute. The style of animation will show which audience it is trying to rope in. The original had a mix of muted color and bright color. Also, they had a still, but cartoony movement. That attracted all audiences, that is why it was a fan favorite. However, this series has a bunch of bright colors, bunch (maybe too much) of quick movement, and bunchs of anime cartoon movement. You can tell it was directed to children. A good movie/series is a movie/series that purposely or accidentally drags in more than just puppies.
I don't think its boring at all. I really love it because those bears look so adorable and pretty too. I also like the anime references it has too! ^-^
I really dislike the look of this show. I think the "cal-arts style lol" joke is stupid and unfair to many creators who come from cal-arts, but a LOT of modern cartoons (2010 and onwards) look so similar to me. It's always the same thin outlines, simplistic faces, along with slower and floatier movement. For example, the adult humans here look straight out of Infinity Train, and Infinity Train itself looks like Steven Universe, which looks like a more advanced version of Adventure Time, which looks like Bee and Puppycat. Victor and Valentino look like they could fit in Craig of the Creek. Regular Show started out more loose and sketchy with it's lines and characters, but over time eventually stiffened up and became more clean and sterile. Same with Adventure Time, which later Regular Show episodes look like to me. I feel like I'm in the minority on this but this is the main reason why I don't bother with modern cartoons pretty much at all anymore. It's always the same tone, same style of writing, and same looking style of visuals. It all bleeds together to me into a giant unsatisfying mush.
You’re really exaggerating honestly. Almost none of the shows you mentioned look that similar to each other at all. You have to be really nitpicking or look far too deep into the animation to think that’s the case. Not to mention people seem to forget almost every show from the 80s and 90s looked the same.
Rugrats was originally the show and they evolved as time goes on two teenagers and so on and so forth and that makes sense however some of these shows I just don't really care for when they do the baby forcation because they they're already over Grande by get it it's like an origin thing but still for someone who doesn't pay attention through a lot of the episodes and makes it feel like they were aging backwards for some reason
I also agree, even though I love the spinoff, I do miss the original but it did have an great movie to finish it off, I can't wait to see more references of the characters that was in we bare bears.

I always found it weird hpw they baby bears never found a home even in the original series. Like, they met at least 3 people that would probably give them a home if they wanted to, like that ramen shop they helped in Japan.
that’s true! i didn’t think about that
The bears kinda chose to leave her after helping lol, their choice ig
I haven't seen it, but the art style honestly doesn't intrigue me. It feels like it's trying too hard to be cute, which makes it not cute at all. I kind of wish that the original, adult versions of the bears was still having new episodes as I enjoyed those more, especially because it was slice of life
That was well said
I liked the original except the fourth season which I found boring due to the numerous non-backstory baby bears episodes the season contained. This version of the show is an instant turn off. I hate the art-style, the forcefulness and the plotlines which are IMO, worse than any season of the original.
The first 2 seasons and first half of the third season were great but idk it started getting boring after for me
@@OmniversalInsect Nothing tops the first 2 seasons.
That's very well-said
I agree totally with that final sentence of yours.
The merch is Korean
unrelated but did you know a panda's digestive systems is better equipped for eating meat, but they just eat bamboo anyway, so Panda being a vegetarian makes even more sense, since the species chose leafy greens over steak in some weird evolutional way
I'm just gonna say this.
I think you forgot to put “not”. You said “I’m a fan of this spinoff”
I can't wait for the 3837438th episode where grizz robs a bank cutely and panda commits identity fraud ( and panda saving the day )
I'm so glad I'm not the only person that found the baby bears episodes and the baby bears show itself boring as hell.
My thoughts exactly.
You know a show has turned bad when the characters turn into children.
Yeah, just like total dramarama
In my opinion, sorry if no one agrees, but I really hate it, and it’s a really crappy spin off.
@@p0rno_creep I actually agree, the spin off is actually trash

i still hate this show
Me before watching: How is this BORING!?
Me after watching: Oh... now i get it
Its cutely boring
I plan on continuing to watch it!
Honestly in my opinion
It's pretty.. Decent, boring and sometimes not boring it's inbetween
Sorry you had to read all that.
exactly!
i absolutely REFUSE to watch We Baby Bears because... wait for it....
THEY MADE BABY ICE BEAR TALK

How else are we gonna know how he and when learn to talk.............wait they never even explain that

Yes, The show is cute, but i haven't gotten into it, besides watching the intro 103923 times
It's definitely one of my favorite intros
It's a dumbed down baby version of a much superior show. So the result was obvious.

This is probably one of the if not the most stupid thing they messed up on in the two shows all together
Pandas in the wild eat bamboo despite being predators, they just live in a place where the food they need to eat is very scarce so they eat what they have around them and they eat a lot of it.
It could’ve made a perfect episode joke where someone says, hey aren’t you a herbivore and then panda has to say that that’s a harmful stereotype.
Big brain Ice bear move right here
So if you offered a panda a choice of meat or bamboo, would they automatically go for the meat?
@@anomnisexualpossum8485 they would go for your arm first, because your the closest food to them
Didn't Prouder Famiily actually tackle that stereotype?
I definitely agree with this, we needed an Icy Nights 3, not this.
I didn't even realize this show was out. I also thought this was supposed to be for younger audiences. The artstyle and animation reminds me of a japanese childrens show something along the lines of Hamtaro where a younger audience would really enjoy it but not so much with an older crowd.
I would get the feeling that this is probably gonna be another spin off show in the trash,
Or at the very least, be popular in Japan. Because this fricking show looks like a fricking anime lol
And Korea too
That's the point unfortunately and it's not even true anime
Is it bad that I misread the title as "We Bear Bears?" I was about to go ham haha. I've never heard of this spin off but the animation looks good. I wish they did more with it.
we bare bears was one of my favorite shows simply because it didn’t need over the top cartoon-ish style in its animation or its plot. i loved how it felt like everyday life with the exception of an over exaggerated plot here and there in the original show and it had its charms through being simple, but the new show just feels almost dumbed down and loses it’s charming nature. such a cute cartoon but honestly really sad to see cartoon network couldn’t appreciate what it had began with
👍🏻
(sobbing)
I’m still questioning how this show got a movie and spin-off. Yes the original is good but was it really pulling the attention to warrant being milked so much? I just rarely see anyone talking about it.
Easy. It's cute.
@@jelanloy-a4820 yeah except people actually gave a damn about Steven Universe.
I believe it’s because the show is popular in Korea
Seriously they ended the original show for this, they should bring back we bare bears, I mean the baby bears episodes in that show are actually good
Episodic shows are good unless they do what Adventure Time & Regular Show did with their love triangle arcs that you forget about a week after because it's not an immediate follow up, then you're reminded of it in the next season. Ben 10 UA also did that with Elena when she returned for 2 episodes then disappeared until Omniverse were she didn't speak and then they finished it with a comic book.
The sad part is as how good the original was, it was underrated. And now the the spinoff isn’t the best, it’s getting more attention.
The other thing Im questioning is that How is Panda have a smartphone, in one episode before they got a cave Adult Panda has a flippy cellphone thing
Give me the original anyday. They at least spaced out with the baby bear eps and Adult ones but I couldn't commit to a whole series of Baby Bear eps
I always got annoyed (still do) when the parent show was unfairly criticised for being "boring" just because it was laid back and was "its own thing".
It's just another lazy trend on cashing In not what's left of this show but like Total Dramarama: being the next Muppet Babies.
Don’t mention muppet babies-

I like to headcanon that this show was, in the We Bare Bears universe, is something Panda would actually direct and produce. Like cmon; Theme song made by K-Pop artists, artstyle looks like anime (I know it was the producer's influence but still) and who loves K-Pop and Anime? P A N D A.
That's almost the same headcanon I have! I headcanon the whole show is a children's manga created by Panda based on his cubhood with his brothers.
the way they are drawn is unappealing to me. the eyes do not make them cuter, it looks tacky. we bare bears’ artstyle was cute because it was simplistic.
Casuals do not want to stray too far away from the familiar, so shows constantly stay in that region
However over the years that region got smaller
Before it was "City area" where pink yellow and bright blue Colors were fine to use, but now it's "Newyork"

That’s a good point
A better question is why do so many baby spinoffs become cartooner This Total Dranarama and Pup Named Scooby Doo are a lot more wacky and zany compared to there parent show ?
I’m so glad that for once, one of these “let’s turn (characters) into babies” shows is good. It’s not the greatest thing, but it’s not awful to sit through.
It has a good art style yes and it's cute, but it's kinda repetitive with the whole finding a new home thing, which is one of the gripes I have
But overall I hope season 2 will be good
I’m still a little salty about not having icy nights 3. But this show does give more of the baby bears so I guess it balances out
We Baby Bears has potential.
We Baby Bears is so cute imo! 😊💕
Extremely!
May be boring but still better than TTG and any other reboot cartoon network has made.
The only episode I really found interest in from this show was the echolocation episode and honestly, I don't know why. Cartoon network has annoyed me with the intro's song tho- they keep playing the whole song as an advertisement and it's just annoying hearing the same things on repeat, day after day after day. I like the song but JESUS.
i wont see it
i think i had enough watching the great show we bare bears
the most thing i like about we bare bears is the smart comedy that the adults and the kids can understand the jokes and the story of the episodes from characters side what made the cartoon special
to be honest i find it one of greatest cartoon network shows
I’ll always prefer We Bare Bears. We baby bears is okay but each episode still feels formulaic and repetitive.
Kinda unrelated but I just found out yesterday that there's a baby spinoff of Madagascar.
oh no..
TBH. i already knew this was going a very Predictable cartoon from the very moment i saw episode 1-4.
not to be so negative but i never liked the baby bear episodes in the original in the first place. the first couple episodes were interesting but i honestly didn’t care at all about their childhoods after a certain point. With a show like this you also risk continuity errors with the source material
also i agree with what you said about liking episodic shows more than continuous story ones. too much pressure to catch up to the latest episodes and catch them on air
How much anime do you want?
*OVER 9000!*
Seriously though, I loved the art style, but I do agree that there could be more variety in the episodes' plot...
I agree
It’s cute but boring
Appreciate the support!
Headcanon: This is how the baby bears saw their adventures in the baby episodes in We Bare Bears.
A good movie/series is a movie/series that purposely or accidentally drags in more than just puppies.
i didn't even know this show existed until i saw this video in my feed, actually
I don't think its boring at all. I really love it because those bears look so adorable and pretty too. I also like the anime references it has too! ^-^
Anyone remembers TRON: Uprising that 2012 sci-fi c.g.i cartoon interconnected to the TRON franchise and was on for (1) season?
Couldn’t agree more
You’re really exaggerating honestly. Almost none of the shows you mentioned look that similar to each other at all. You have to be really nitpicking or look far too deep into the animation to think that’s the case. Not to mention people seem to forget almost every show from the 80s and 90s looked the same.
@@quangamershyguyyz7166 yeah.. (agreed)

I feel like it's trying too hard to look like an anime and the voice acting seems a bit too weak and baby-ish
They really did We Bare Bears dirty…this new show is too bright, flashy, and exaggerated.
I really like the art style.Just sad that there wasn't an Icy night III on the original
Baby ice bear sounds mad weird and unsettling
Also one episode when icebear jumped they used sonic's jump
CN literally looked back at the flops that were the child spin-offs and said, "Yea, let's go back to that"
I AGREE. I love love love loved we bare bears and I'm so sad the show went to shit.
Im sad that this new series is very different from we bare bears. It doesn't give the same charm 😩
